EA is first up to bat with the official beginning of E3 2018 with the EA Play event. The first major title discussed is Battlefield 5 and all of the improvements coming to the multiplayer. The somewhat surprising reveal from the event is confirmation that Battlefield 5 will feature a battle royale mode (will be launched after the 19th October via update).

Previously immobile defensive weapons are now mobile and the destructive engine that has become a Battlefield staple is enhanced with the ability to reinforce structures in Battlefield 5.

The single-player will be shown off during the Microsoft conference.

Here are a few other highlights from EA Play 2018:

Anthem gets a release date and gameplay trailer for Anthem’s official release date was revealed: 22nd February 2019, for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
