A Closer Look at the Node 605

The case itself looks amazing. The front of the case has a single button on it.

The front has a flap that pulls down to reveal a number of ports (including 2 USB 3.0 ports and even a Firewire port), a compact flash reader, MicroSD and StandardSD card reader and an area for a DVD or Blu-ray drive.

There are vents on the sides of the cases.

The rear of the case shows lots of available slots and vents, and the area for the power supply and motherboard.

The underside of the case:

To get to the inside of the case you have to remove two screws and then slide the top off. The top has the usual Fractal insulating material on it.

Inside you have access to the fans, plus all the cables and connectors for connecting to the motherboard – all of which are easy to access.

There are two removable drive bays, but unlike previous Fractal Design cases to remove these does require a screwdriver. Fitting a drive into the bay is simple though.
