Wuala, the cloud storage service owned by Wuala, rolled out an app update yesterday on all supported platforms, bringing video streaming to the new LaCie NAS units.  It also fixes bugs, which resolved an intermittent Wuala connection bug with the 5big NAS Pro that I have for a review unit.  Here is the Android change log:

What’s New

What’s in this version:

New features in version 2.6: – Pictures: Zoom in on a picture. – Streaming: Stream your videos or songs directly from the cloud, your LaCie 2big NAS or LaCie 5big NAS PRO. Other changes: – Many bug fixes New Permissions: – “prevent phone from sleeping” and “view network connections”: required for streaming music in the background.

I have confirmed that this change applied to Android and Windows 7, and the video streaming worked just fine on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 running Android.  I’m also working on an updated review of Wuala, so stay tuned for that; in the meantime, go ahead and download this update if you are running Wuala.
