Enable email notifications and complete the required information. Click Apply.
The Lacie 5big confirms that email notifications are now set up.
Last, let’s set up the Eco options. Click the Lacie icon in the top right and select Eco Management from the menu.
Select the deep sleep options and the Power Off schedule, as well as the time frame for spinning the hard drives down when no activity is detected. If a UPS attached via USB, the UPS Management tab would allow you to configure auto-shutdown options.
That’s about it for general configuration. Configuration is performed in a clean, easy to use interface in a web browser. This setup process took me a little over one hour and that includes capturing screen shots, which is quite acceptable.
