How To: On the Spot Cleanup of Unwanted PC Client Databases

6. Repeat Step 6 for each backup you want to delete for the selected client PC Client.

7. Repeat Steps 3 thru 6 for every client pc you wish to delete databases for.

8. Close the Dashboard When completed and proceed to Step 9.

9. Remote or Console into your WHS 2011 Server (Unless of course your already consoled or remoted in).

10. Click on the Windows Start Menu Logo.

11. Click on “All Programs” and choose the “Accessories” Folder, Then

12. Click on the “System Tools” Folder and select “Task Scheduler” (In previous editions of Windows prior to Windows Vista/Server 2008 this was called “Task Manager”)

13. Once “Task Scheduler” Opens go to the right hand of your screen and under “Active Tasks” look for a job called “Cleanup”,  Double click on the “Cleanup” Job, this will open up a new Window with the “Cleanup” job highlighted. .

14. Right click “Cleanup” with your mouse and then choose “Run”

15. Once the Job has completed (which could take hours) close the “Task Scheduler boxes”.

Please Note: This next Part is Optional

16. To Change the “Cleanup” frequencies and how many times you would like to run it as well please go to Step 18.

17. Right click on the “Cleanup” Job and choose “Properties”.

18. When the “Cleanup Properties” opens up choose the “Triggers” tab. Under the “Triggers” Tab click the “Edit” Radio Button.

20. Under the “Settings” in “Edit Trigger” box change the time and consistency of when you want the “Cleanup” PC Databases Job.

21. When the changes are completed click on the “OK” Button and close the Task Scheduler.
