TurboNAS reminds me to set quota limits later if I need to do that:
You can assign the users to pre-existing user groups next. I’ll leave Jordan in Everyone and come back later to change the account.
Next, you can configure a personal folder for the user, and specify what volume you want it installed on. I only have a four-drive RAID5 so we’ll use that, and we won’t hide the folder from other users.
Next, we assign permissions to other folders on the NAS. I want Jordan to be able to read and write to any folder, so that is what I granted her. Note that TurboNAS allows for a nice level of granular access controls here.
Confirm your settings. If you want to go back and change settings, do it now.
We are good to go so we’ll select Next to finish.
And voila! We’ve created a user on the NAS! Click Finish to close the wizard.
