Adding Memory and a Hard Drive

As this is a barebones kit, you don’t get memory or a hard drive. The memory you need is DDR3 (so I popped in a 2GB stick) and a 2.5” hard drive, so I used a WD Scorpio Blue I had handy.

Opening up the box was fairly easy, just remove four screws and the back “should” come off easy. It was fairly easy, as I said, although it did need a little bit of help by prying it off, but don’t use too much force here or you might break it!

Fitting the memory and the drive was very simple.

  1. Great review, thanks. Do you have time to install XBMC for Windows ? I would like to read if the screens move fluidly and your comments on streaming or else what about Media Center running full screen, is it quick and fluid ?
