Sesame Street: Friends & Fun is going to be divisive at best. It is one of those games that’ll be hated by “serious” gamers, but loved by anyone with young children. It captures the educational elements of the TV series while offering gentle and safe gameplay throughout. On top of this, there is a sense of moralistic design, as friendship and helping form the basis for much of the game.
INFINIGON Limited has developed this, and Outright Games is the publisher. It is a single-player and couch cooperative title. Furthermore, it is remarkably straightforward with simple ideas, easy-to-follow gameplay, and some basic puzzles to overcome. You’ll be expected to draw shapes, complete basic mathematics, and put your reactions to the test. Furthermore, there is button bashing, exploration, and games to complete.

Sesame Street: Friends & Fun and the party.
Planning for a party is important. Sesame Street: Friends & Fun takes it to the next level as you must prepare every key element. Whether it is a discussion with Bert and Ernie, helping the Cookie Monster gather ingredients, or helping Elmo with day-to-day activities, you are a giant cog in a party organising machine.
The action spans 3 colourful locations. Each adds a new layer of action to the mix. First, you are introduced to the roster of characters. You must gather ducks, find rubbish in the bins, gather seeds, plant trees, and help the Cookie Monster cook food. Each of these activities follows a simple pattern of instructions. Consequently, children as young as 4 or 5 can play this with ease.

Repetitive, simple, and perfect for kids.
Sesame Street: Friends & Fun blends repetitive action with basic exploration, customisation, and simple games. As you explore the world, you’ll grab boxes and unlock an array of rudimentary mini-games. None of these activities will test adults, but my youngest niece, who is 6, loved every minute.
Where this shines is the blend of different elements and the main franchise characters. Each one adds a familiar edge with silly interactions, counting tests, and a safe and humorous edge. Preschoolers will love the silly action, easy-to-follow instructions, and the small but interesting world. Adults, on the other hand, will hate every minute. It lacks depth, difficulty, or any degree of captivating or challenging gameplay. Thankfully, it is aimed at kids, so it excels in that department.

Sesame Street: Friends & Fun is unbelievably vibrant.
Sesame Street: Friends & Fun lacks a modern edge. It has minor visual issues, and the textures feel a little off. Furthermore, the latter mini-games feel extremely dated. This wasn’t a problem as each activity was short-lived and moving from one to another was a core gameplay mechanic.
The audio blends fun one-liners, character-based dialogue, and safe and upbeat music. There is no sense of drama, and the game offers a gentle, welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for its younger, intended audience.

Learning the basics is a breeze.
The control system wasn’t as responsive as I’d have liked, but the button layout, instructions, and ability to pass every activity were fantastic. Mastering the controls was a breeze, and the action was extremely forgiving. Therefore, young kids will not become frustrated as they tackle each of the 3 locations.
I invested around 6 hours with my niece, and we completed everything. There were no costumes to find, games to unlock, or people to interact with. Instead, you are left to play the mini-games, and that is about it. Therefore, this is seriously lacking in replay value or longevity.
Sesame Street: Friends & Fun is perfect for kids.
I’ve been reasonably blunt while reviewing Sesame Street: Friends & Fun. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy it, because I did. However, I appreciate that older gamers will despise it. If I didn’t have a young niece, this would have scored a below-average rating. However, my score is based on my niece’s reaction and how that sits with its intended audience. Accordingly, my niece adores it, and I recommend buying it here! Can you find every party component and save the day? Explore the world, play every game, and bring light, love, and happiness to everyone you meet.
