UK Launch of HP TouchPad Set for July 15th

Yesterday we mentioned the $50 rebate for the US on the new HP TouchPad which launches in the US tomorrow. Now HP have said the UK launch date is July 15th.

London, June 29th: The wait is nearly over! An on-sale date of July 15th has been confirmed for the amazing HP TouchPad powered by webOS.

Available from as well as a range of popular high-street retailers including PC World, Curry’s, Amazon, Argos, Comet, & Carphone Warehouse, the HP TouchPad WiFi version will retail at £399 for the 16gb and £479 for the 32gb .

The webOS platform is also launching in the UK with some exciting, exclusive content from partners including The Guardian, LastFM, Warner Bros and Sky News to name but a few. HP is working closely with development partners to make publishing for the platform as easy as possible and consumers can expect to see the launch of many more UK-centric webOS applications optimized for the TouchPad over the coming days and weeks.
