The drive is the usual size for portable drives, only it has the unique “Skin” on it. The USB port is on the side of the drive rather than on the back .
Using the Drive
Connecting the drive to my PC was simple and Windows found the drive straight away. The drive will work with a Mac but will need reformatting – there are instructions in the manual on how to do this.
There is no additional software on the drive – it is purely an empty drive ready to be used. You can however download the Iomega Protection Suite software if you wish.
Testing the Drive
I ran the drive through the usual HD Tune Pro tests and here are the results:

Final Thoughts
I’m not a fan of the Skin “products” – I have nothing against them, they just personally don’t do anything for me – but clearly other people feel differently otherwise why would they have released a Skin branded hard drive?
The drive itself is fine, it’s just a normal Iomega eGo drive in a skin.
But if you are looking for something a little more unique, then this could certainly be the drive for you – especially if you are a Skin fan
The Skin Drive range from Iomega has a retail price of £84.99 but you can find them cheaper if you look around.
You can learn more from the Iomega website.
