As well as letting us know about the second beta for Lights-Out for Windows Home Server Vail, Martin also told us that a beta for the V1 Windows Home Server Lights-Out was also available.

Lights-Out for WHS v1 is currently available as stable version 1.0.4 and as Beta version 1.0.9. It’s only been out a few days in stable format but if you want to try the new version go right ahead.

What is 1.0.9?

Lights-Out 1.0.9 for Windows Home Server v1 is based on the same core as Lights-Out 1.0.9 for Windows Home Server Code name Vail. All new development will happen in 1.0.9 and later.

DISCLAIMER: It was necessary to change many parts of the internal architecture of Lights-Out to support both Vail and WHS v1. Therefore this build will contain bugs and is a BETA version! Do not install on your production WHS before you are satisfied with testing.

You still want 1.0.9? Ok, please read what’s changed: http://www.axonet.de/whs/beta1/Lights-Out%20for%20WHS%20v1%20109.pdf

Then uninstall your current version and download and install 1.0.9:
