.Net Framework Out of Band Security Updates for Windows Home Server and Windows

Microsoft have today released a number of updates for its .Net Framework. These updates are to fix serious issues and so have been released “out of band” which means not during their usual patch release cycle.

If you have automatic updates enabled (well done) and you should receive these updates today or overnight. You can always force the issue by performing a manual update.

If you don’t have automatic updates enabled, why not? In which case go perform a manual check and update right now.

Any computer that has the .Net Framework installed will need to be updated – so your Windows Home Server, and most likely your Windows computers as well.

  1. This was an interesting update. This was the first time I ever received an email from Microsoft explaining the update.
