Raxco have announced a private beta for their PerfectDisk product for WHS Vail.

Here is what Raxco have posted:

The most exciting news about Vail for us is the new Drive Extender (DE) storage system technology. Early on in its development process, Microsoft approached us with its plans for Drive Extender. As a long-time development partner of Microsoft, the relationship between our two development organizations is one where we can both put forth recommendations to each other, and this relationship has proved particularly fruitful as Microsoft moves forward with its Vail development. We have made several suggestions to Microsoft regarding Vail and DE that they are pursuing internally.

The solution we are developing right now will be fully integrated to the new Vail dashboard and Launchpad. What we will be delivering is a complete storage management solution for Vail, that builds upon PerfectDisk’s extensive free space consolidation and extensive reporting capabilities.

We are also announcing now a new Private Beta program for Vail users. This program will allow participants to get early access to our product code as well as give them a close “seat” to the Microsoft Vail development team. Since we are in regular meetings with Microsoft and it is soliciting our feedback, we are also in a position to share user feedback and requests with the Vail team.

If you are interested in joining the private beta program, send an email request to [email protected].

We’ve sent off our email, have you?
