COMPARING THE COPY
Once the duplication is complete you may want to compare the copy with the original. One simple way to do this would be to just connect the copy to a computer and see if everything is there and if it works. That’s fine if you know exactly what is on it, but a much quicker way might be to run a comparison which looks at the copy and compares it to the original. This process takes a bit longer than the copy does – in my case, it took just under 2 hours to perform a successful comparison, compared to an hour and a quarter to duplicate it.
USB CONNECTIVITY
If you want to check the contents of either drive or even just use the 1:1 HDD Cruiser as a hard drive bay to copy to and from the drives whilst it is not in normal use you can do so by simply connecting the supplied USB 2.0 cable to the back and then to your computer and selecting USB mode from the menu.
The first time you connect it to a computer, Windows will detect it and install everything for you automatically.
You can then access the drives as you need to.
Just don’t forget to turn off USB mode on the 1:1 HDD Cruiser when you have finished in order to use the other functions.
