THE REMOTE

The remote was also on display for the first time ever.

As you can see its very small and fits in the palm of your hand (just about, depending on the size of your hands).

And here is the remote being demonstrated by the lovely Bob Suicide.

Surprisingly you might think that the buttons and keys on the back of the remote would mean that you would be knocking them all the time – but this is not the case. It’s hard to describe just why this isn’t the case, but trust me, it isn’t!

THE SOFTWARE

As mentioned earlier, this was also the first outing of the new beta software for the Boxee Box, and I have to say I was really impressed. Even for a beta, it was fast, slick and looked amazing.

  1. So it appears it has all the primary video and audio formats. Anyone see any popular formats missing that I should be concerned about.

  2. Nothing that I can think of so far 🙂

Time will tell though, I suppose someone may find something they would like to play that isnt supported out of the box.
