Mirror’s Edge Catalyst to be shown at E3 2015
Today EA and DICE offered the smallest glimpse of Mirror’s Edge 2 at last year’s E3. This year, DICE is promising a grander look at the game, while also revealing the game’s new title. The game will be known as Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
“Mirror’s Edge has always had a special place in the hearts of all of us at DICE,” senior producer Sara Jansson said on the Mirror’s Edge website. “The first game had a lot of promise. It was unlike anything else in terms of the gameplay and style — it had a unique soul. But as much as we loved that game, we knew it could be more. So that’s what we have set out to do as we introduce Mirror’s Edge to a new generation. “The team has spent a lot of time re-evaluating every aspect of the game and making it a new experience. This is not a sequel, this is not Mirror’s Edge 2. We have landed on a vision that honors the first game — pushing the boundaries of first person movement and diving deeper into the story behind our heroine Faith — but also brings a lot of great new, interesting gameplay and features to the experience for our players.”
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was also confirmed for an E3 2015 appearance in that same blog post. EA has previously indicated a Q1 2016 release for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Look for more information to come during EA’s press conference this coming Monday.

Broken Sword 5 heading to PS4 and Xbox One
Revolution Software proudly announces today that an enhanced version of Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent’s Curse will release worldwide for PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, in Summer 2015.
Funded after a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign which reached its goal in just 13 days, Revolution is now working on bringing George and Nico’s latest adventure to next gen consoles. Digital versions will be published by Revolution through PlayStation Network and Xbox Games Store. Retail versions, which will include the game’s introduction as a graphic novel, will be distributed throughout Europe and EMEA by Ravenscourt.

Three #makeitright” campaign is a hit within 48 hours
The newest campaign from Three, which introduces a new loveable character, called Jackson, to TV screens for the very first time is already proving a huge hit.
It has amassed over 1.2m in its first 48 hours online and sparked a frenzy on social media with people taking to Facebook to watch Jackson’s mission to #makeitright.
The new ad, which is set to East 17’s nineties hit, ‘It’s Alright’, stars Jackson, a purple puppet created by the world famous Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, renowned for inventing The Muppets.
Dejected, beaten down and damp, Jackson cuts a sorry figure in the big dark city as the story unfolds. But as he reaches his lowest ebb, Jackson remembers an old family mantra, and is suddenly transformed. Galvanised into action, he then spreads the song’s reassuring message to characters in all sorts of sticky situations.

The 90 second ad campaign that launched last Friday 5th June during Big Brother on Channel 5, with further scheduling throughout the weekend, including spots during 8 Out Of Ten Cats, Alan Carr Chatty Man and Emmerdale.
Last year Three’s 2014 viral advert #SingItKitty became a global hit, with more than 6 million hits on YouTube. The advert featured Starship’s power anthem, ‘We Built This City’, and turned a shared moment between a young girl and her adorably cute pet kitten into an epic journey that saw the duo belt out a powerful rendition of the song, whilst tearing up the cul-de-sac on a pink tricycle.
Microsoft announces new Xbox One with 1TB HDD
Today Microsoft has unveiled a new Xbox One 1TB console, with a new matte finish and more storage for your games and media which is exclusive to GAME in the UK for two weeks from 10th June (£349.99).
Also starting today, the £299.99 price on all standard Xbox One 500GB consoles will be permanent in the United Kingdom and select regions around the world.
Also included is the newly designed Xbox One Wireless Controller, and in select regions for a limited time, Halo : The Master Chief Collection.
The new Xbox One Wireless Controller now features a 3.5mm stereo jack that lets you plug a headset right into the controller. You’ll have the option to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring, and voice and game audio balance through the Settings menu on your console. In addition to audio improvements, Microsoft has also fine-tuned the bumpers and enabled wireless firmware updates on the updated controller which eliminates having to connect the controller via USB cable to receive updates.
You will be able to purchase the new controller as a standalone item in black from late summer, as well as a new camouflage design in silver and black with the Xbox One Special Edition Covert Forces Wireless Controller, which starts to ship to retailers from 16th June.

MGS V:The Phantom Pain PS4 console out September
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced it’s highly anticipated METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN title will be the subject of a Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Console Bundle on 1st September.
A special agreement between KONAMI and Sony Computer Entertainment Euro a division of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., the branded console will be released concurrently with METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN. The bundle will include the PlayStation 4 with a 500GB hard disk drive and the Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK 4), both in their special METAL GEAR SOLID V design, and the METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN DAY 1 EDITION software title for PS4. The bundle will be available in a limited quantity.
The PS4 system included in the bundle comes in a special deep red colour with gold line detail, inspired by the look of Snake’s ‘Bionic Arm’ in the game. Batman: Arkham Knight Cape & Cowl Event comes to UK
Warner Bros Games UK has teamed up with twenty of the most exciting contemporary artists and media celebrities to celebrate the launch of Batman: Arkham Knight with a new exhibition reimagining the Caped Crusader’s iconic Cape and Cowl headpiece, running at Kachette, Shoreditch, London, from Tuesday 23rd to Sunday 28th June, 2015.
Using life-sized replicas of Batman’s famous costume as a blank canvas, each artist and celebrity will produce their own unique interpretation of the Dark Knight’s attire.
