News: The Gap

The Gap is a game I previewed recently. This excellent psychological thriller is captivating, weird, surreal, and eerie. Furthermore, it tests your logical prowess. Nonetheless, you may be wondering, why am I covering old ground? Well, a new trailer was recently released alongside some exciting news. As such, keep reading to find out what is new.

Release dates can normally be taken with a pinch of salt. However, I have been assured that The Gap will be available from October 19th 2023. Alongside this, if you are either a PC, PlayStation, or Xbox Gamer, you can now pre-order a copy. As such, Crunching Koalas doesn’t do things by halves. This excellent publisher is going full throttle to get this game out to the masses. Consequently, I can’t wait to see how it performs on console.

A short overview of The Gap. 

The Gap is a psychological thriller that seamlessly weaves together the realms of memories, emotions, and corporate intrigue. The game revolves around Joshua Hayes, a dedicated neuroscientist, whose life takes a sudden turn when his family becomes afflicted by a rare genetic disorder. As memories fade and sanity slips away, Joshua is faced with an unimaginable challenge: finding a cure before his family’s essence is forever lost.

I played this fantastic psychological thriller at Develop Brighton and loved it. The atmospheric gameplay and interesting story are captivating and cruel. Furthermore, this short experience is tough to put down. Consequently, this is one title that you won’t want to miss.

Alongside this, its D-Pad is designed with every genre in mind. Whether you are aiming for single-button inputs or macro recognition, this controller does it all. Furthermore, the high-response inputs allow you to game on another level. As such, you can compete with the best without breaking the bank.

The QRD Spark N5 Wireless controller has exceptional charge retention. The 1200 mAh battery will retain its charge for 30 days before displacing. This is great if you are a casual gamer. What’s more, the 8-hour battery life is useful for shorter gaming sessions. Moreover, it takes no more than 3 hours to charge the device. Additionally, this controller has a decent 8-metre wireless range via 2.4g and Bluetooth.

On top of these aspects, you’ll enjoy a lightweight and comfortable experience. The ergonomic design is complemented by the 221 g total weight. As such, this doesn’t feel clumsy or cumbersome. On top of this, the button placement and size match the design approach of the official Sony controllers. Therefore, it will be familiar to use.

Build quality. 

This all-black controller looks stunning with its RGB lighting display. Furthermore, its stylish finish is striking and eye-catching. The case appears hard-wearing and looks to be built to last. Disappointingly, though, a lack of colour variety will put off some would-be buyers. Had QRD designed a more varied range, I believe they’d attract a larger audience. 

This to one side, I’m impressed by the Hall Effect analogue sticks and the responsive input buttons. Moreover, the D-Pad technology intrigues me.

The bright lights, glitz, glamorous outfits and exciting but tense atmospheres captivate audiences and arouse their emotions. From modern blockbusters to classic 80s films, we will be exploring the iconic casino movie scenes that have impacted popular culture.

The Hangover (2009)

The Hangover is one of the best comedy movies shot in Las Vegas. The movie stars Zach Galifianakis (Alan), Bradley Cooper (Phil), Justin Bartha (Doug) and Ed Helms (Stu). The Hangover is about a raucous group of four friends who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. They wake up the following morning in a chaotic suite with no memory of what happened during the party. The groom, Doug, is also missing. 

While trying to retrace their steps, they discover that they had stolen casino poker chips that belonged to a gangster and Doug was taken hostage. Stu, Alan and Phil hit the casino in the Caesars Palace Hotel to raise enough money to pay the ransom for Doug. Upon arriving at the blackjack table, Alan demonstrates his card-counting abilities and successfully beats the dealer several times. The Hangover is a brilliant combination of intense yet funny casino scenes.

Casino Royale (2006)

We can’t talk about iconic casino movie scenes without mentioning Casino Royale (2006), in which Daniel Craig makes his debut as James Bond. The Casino Royale poker scene, which is the movie’s centerpiece, features an intense Texas hold ’em poker game with high stakes at the luxurious Casino Royale in Montenegro. James Bond faces off against Le Chiffre, who is the main antagonist working as a paymaster for the Syndicat des Ouvriers d’Alsace. During the scene, Bond and Le Chiffre battle it out at the table, with massive deposits being made and fine casino etiquette being displayed. Resorts Casino offers players the chance to channel this casino etiquette in their variety of online casino games, including blackjack and poker. 

Rain Man (1988)

Rain Man is one of the best comedy road movies. The movie is about Charlie Babbit (Tom Cruise), a young and selfish collectibles dealer. While Charlie tries to stall his creditors, he discovers that his rich and estranged father has died and left his multimillion-dollar estate to his autistic savant brother Raymond.

Charlie devises a plan to earn the money he needs to clear his debts by having Raymond count cards and play blackjack at the Caesar Palace Casino in Las Vegas. In the casino scene, Raymond showcases his ability and wins $86,000.

  • The compact packaging is understated but robust. This plain box won’t get the juices flowing. However, it is recyclable and protects the contents whilst being delivered.

Technical aspects.

Thanks to the 18W PD port, you’ll notice enhanced charging abilities compared to its leading rival. Alongside this, you can use both the USB-A and USB-C or USB-Micro B ports at the same time. This simple idea was a game-changer that allows you to focus on enjoying your precious time rather than worrying about your power-loving technology.

The variety of ports enhances the compatibility of this device. The USB-A ports are QC3.0 with 18W compatibility. Whereas, the USB-Micro B port is 5V/2A, 9V/A. Finally, the USB-C port is bidirectional! This fantastic design choice allows you to use 1 cable to charge the power bank and any compatible device. Build quality.

Instead, there is a reassuring, robust nature that is perfect for those that like to camp. Alternatively, maybe you have children that cannot do without power on their precious tech. If this is the case, you are reassured that this device will survive some roughhousing.

My only complaint is minor! I’ve recently reviewed the Monoprice Power Bank 20,000 mAh and was impressed by its wireless charging pad. Sadly, though, this product doesn’t have this excellent feature. Now, this is a small issue but had the EnergyQC Power Bank Pilot X7 had a wireless docking station, then it would have been a mighty impressive device. Instead, if you happen to forget your charging cable, unfortunately, you won’t be able to use this great power bank.

Is the EnergyQC Power Bank Pilot X7 worth it?

Available for less than £29, this power bank is great value for money. Yes, it doesn’t have a wireless docking station, but this feature comes at a cost. The aforementioned Monoprice device is more expensive and much heavier by comparison. Accordingly, if you want something that can slip into your pocket or bag without weighing you down, then the EnergyQC Power Bank Pilot X7 is the way to go. Alongside this, the LED flashlight was an excellent, albeit small feature that impressed me. Therefore, I liked this product and I recommend that you buy it here! Final Thoughts

Putting together the FC 4-4 Hard Floor Cleaner is fairly simple and quick to do.

One tank holds the clean water and the other tank holds the dirty, which makes is so much easier to dispose of the dirty water!

The battery lasts about 30 minutes depending on how you are using it – that doesn’t seem very long, especially when it takes around 70 minutes to charge, however you do get 2 batteries in the box so you can recharge one whilst using the other.

When not in use, the FC 4-4 sits nice and securely in its parking and cleaning station.

The PowerA Wired Sonic Xbox controller is an eye-catching purchase. This PowerA Advantage controller is robust, attractive, and has modded controls. Moreover, there are 3 trigger positions, and a long USB-C cable to create a comfortable gaming experience.

Alongside these key elements, you can map the rear buttons on the fly and use a wired headset with ease. What’s more, the buttons feel great, and the controller is responsive, and doesn’t feel cheap. However, its standout feature has to be the stunning Sonic livery. The rich blue colour palette and excellent character model are pleasant to look at. Accordingly, this wouldn’t look out of place when placed next to high-end gaming paraphernalia.

Technical aspects. 

Gaming accessories have to look great but feel even better. Additionally, controllers must be robust and responsive. Thankfully, the PowerA Wired Sonic Xbox controller ticks every box. What’s more, the ability to customise the rear buttons was a pleasant surprise. This high-end feature is rarely available at this price point. Moreover, mapping the buttons is a user-friendly experience. 

The custom buttons can be changed whenever you wish. By pressing the central rear button, gamers can adjust their setup according to the genre they are playing. This was great, as the biggest of technophobes can use this pad with ease. Alongside this, the 3 trigger pressure points were another great feature. By flicking each switch, you can reduce or increase travel distance. Accordingly, if you are playing an FPS, you’ll want quicker reactions. Alternatively, a slower and more methodical game can use the full trigger distance without concern. 

To be wired or wireless, that is the question.

Wired Vs wireless gaming is a massive debate. Both approaches have their strengths and weaknesses. Yet, I appreciate a wired setup, as it is trouble-free and can be used on multiple platforms. Additionally, you no longer need to worry about battery life. As such, you can game to your heart’s content without losing juice.

Where the PowerA Wired Sonic Xbox controller excels is the removable cable. There are plenty of hard-wired alternatives that seem a great idea. However, if the cable becomes damaged, the controller is useless. Thanks to the removable cable, this issue can be forgotten.

Build quality. 

I couldn’t help but love the smooth and steady thumbsticks. The anti-friction rings allow you to game without issue. Moreover, each additional button is well placed and using them is comfortable and intuitive. Furthermore, the well-positioned 3.5mm audio jack point allows you to game freely.

Another element I liked was the tactile handles. This colour-matched layer enhances grip without reducing the excellent aesthetic. Talking of aesthetics, the Sonic the Hedgehog theme will please many people. This much-loved character has seen a resurgence in popularity. Accordingly, this controller will be loved by young and older gamers alike.

Is the PowerA Wired Sonic Xbox controller worth it?

Buying a decent controller is normally an expensive ask. However, the PowerA Wired Sonic Xbox controller is inexpensive. This was a surprise when you consider every feature on offer. Available for under £35, this is an absolute bargain! Not only does it look and feel great, but it helps you to stand out from the crowd. As such, I adored it and I recommend that you buy it here!

Review: Moving Out 2

Moving Out 2 is a much-anticipated sequel. Its predecessor was loved for its whacky action, tough challenges, and incredible couch co-op gameplay. Therefore, its fan base has been champing at the bit to get its hands on this title. The sequel reuses many mechanics, but there are some nice new twists and online gameplay to enhance your experience.

This physics-based solo or multiplayer game is developed by SMG Studio and DEVM Games and it is published by Team17. Moreover, it has an excellent roster of characters and plenty of locations to explore. Additionally, it has some wonderfully humorous moments that will make you chuckle and smile amongst the chaos.

Moving Out 2: a tale of F.A.R.T.

The Smooth Move company is in trouble! Sadly, its employees have relocated to a tropical island. Consequently, when you return to Packmore to enquire about work, the boss is over the moon to see you. However, you have lost your accreditation to work in the house moving industry, and that is a problem. Yet, with some basic training, you are soon qualified enough to smash windows and throw fragile packages into the back of your van.

If this wasn’t enough, you are tasked with completing additional challenges to enhance your F.A.R.T. level. The higher this level is, the more job opportunities that come your way. Subsequently, you’ll want to complete every stage as best you can if you wish to undertake every mission in each of the strange locations.

Not just a one-trick pony.

When a game names itself Moving Out 2, you expect every mission to focus on removing property. However, this isn’t the case. Instead, you are tasked with removing items to your delivery van or placing furniture and boxes within a new house. This twist on the gameplay was fantastic, as it tests your skills and patience in a different way.

Alongside this, you are expected to use your surroundings to move around each stage with ease. Accordingly, it is advised to study every level to identify any risks or shortcuts that can improve your performance. On top of this, there are crates to be found that help unlock new items or characters. This was great fun as you can find zany and interesting creatures that can be integrated into each moving team.

Play it alone or with others.

Unlike its predecessor, Moving Out 2 allows you to play online. Moreover, there is a cross-play option if you want to expand your horizons. This game mode was fantastic and frustrating in equal measure. Though I adored the amusing fights and bickering with friends and strangers, it could become annoying when people didn’t listen. When this happens, the game turns into an unholy mess. Subsequently, I advise finding some great friends to play with if you want to get the most out of it.

Though the solo mode wasn’t as captivating, I enjoyed my time with it nonetheless. What’s more, there is an assist mode that can be activated to simplify an array of mechanics. Consequently, if you need extra time or wish to lighten the weight of every heavy object, you can with this option activated.

Moving Out 2 is bursting with colour.

Like its predecessor, Moving Out 2 is vivid, colourful, and pleasant to look at. Additionally, the stage design is fantastic and the theme of each level is varied and unusual. The developers have worked wonders with their imaginative ideas and this helps to keep you on your toes. What’s more, the animation is fantastic, and each character looks hilarious.

The audio will make you chuckle and smile from the beginning to the end. The script is witty, sharp, and full of adult humour. Furthermore, the sound effects are exciting and interesting, and the music is edgy, upbeat, and playful. On top of this, I loved the dry and amusing narration. The often cutting one-liners break up the demanding and occasionally tricky hurdles that you must overcome.

Brilliant controls.

I didn’t expect Moving Out 2 to be tough to play. Yet, the brilliant controls make it a cinch to pick up and play. As such, this is an excellent family-friendly endeavour that can be enjoyed by players of all ages and skills. However, this doesn’t mean that you won’t argue. Like Monopoly and other family-focused experiences, this one will make you shout, scream, and bicker with your teammates.

No matter how many arguments you have, you won’t be able to put it down! This addictive title will keep you busy for hours. With loads of worlds to explore and plenty of stages to complete, this is a game that keeps on giving. Alongside this, there are plenty of characters to unlock as well as the exceptional cross-play online action. Furthermore, the additional challenges are much harder and more cryptic than its predecessor. Accordingly, this is a lot tougher to complete and you get more bang for your buck as a consequence.

Moving Out 2 was worth the wait.

Undoubtedly, Moving Out 2 was worth the wait. This excellent title is incredible no matter if you play it alone or with others. Moreover, the amusing yet unbelievable story will keep you laughing even if you fail your objectives repeatedly. Furthermore, if you find things a little tough, you can switch on the assist mode to help you through the hardest of stages. As such, I loved this game and I recommend that you buy it here! Can you become the best F.A.R.T. operative to walk the streets? Find every item, pack them safely, and try not to smash up every house you visit.

What’s more, like Chivalry 2, it transports us back in time. Consequently, is there enough space and players to enjoy another ye olde fighting endeavour?

This hack n slash title is developed and published by Triternion. Moreover, it’ll test your skills, as it isn’t the easiest game to play. However, it is this level of difficulty that makes it super rewarding. Additionally, annihilating other players with a vast arsenal of medieval weaponry never gets old.

Mordhau ignores a mandatory story. 

Gaming and a rich story normally go hand-in-hand. However, Mordhau ignores this basic approach. Instead, it allows its fan base to create their own story whilst bludgeoning their opponent to death. Yet, somehow, the fast-paced and tough action can be tough to follow. Accordingly, you’ll spend much of your time getting your ass handed to you. As such, you won’t care about the lack of a story.

It seems like I’m painting a grim picture of what’s to come. However, you must realise that Mordhau is a sadomasochistic experience. No matter which game mode you endure, there will always be someone or a team of people that are better than you. Consequently, the old saying “Get gud” has never been more relevant. Thankfully, understanding the core mechanics is relatively straightforward. Yet, mastering them is a whole different ball game. 

What game modes are there?

There are 6 official game modes and 1 unofficial option to choose from. These hardcore affairs are mainly PvP, except for horde mode. This much-loved experience asks you to survive an ever-growing army of enemies. As you progress, you earn gold, improve and purchase new gear, and keep going until you fail. Other modes include deathmatch and team deathmatch, battle royale, skirmish, frontline, and dual servers.

Each option is equally viable and playing them all will determine what type of player you wish to be. However, the go-to choice has to be Frontline. This cruel endeavour asks you to use three methods to annihilate your opponent’s scoreline. It isn’t an easy task, and it requires more than just a mindless mindset. If you have the right team and a tactical approach, you’ll adore everything that this flagship mode offers.

Classes and gear. 

Mordhau follows a familiar gameplay structure. As such, there are an array of character classes to select and gear to unlock. Subsequently, you can change your approach and your style by selecting a different class. On top of this, new weapons will give you a tactical advantage in certain situations. Accordingly, if you master each warrior and unlock every weapon, you’ll destroy everything in your path. 

Word of warning, though, getting to these dizzying heights is no mean feat. Instead, you’ll have to perfect the art of parrying, dodging, and attacking if you wish to be successful. If you have played Chivalry 2, you’ll know how arduous this can be. Yet, it is this level of detail and skill that makes these games stand out from their otherwise run-of-the-mill peers. 

Mordhau is visually impressive. 

Finding a visually impressive title is strangely tough these days. However, Mordhau looks incredible. Every aspect of the gameplay is detailed and era-specific. What’s more, the gruesome nature of each encounter is tough to stomach. Alongside this, there is a healthy selection of stages to witness. As such, I was hard-pressed to become bored with what I saw.

The audio is just as spectacular. I loved the cheesy and somewhat hammy acting. For reasons unknown, the gruff voices worked well in the ye olde setting. Alongside this, the sound effects were incredible! Whether it was the twang of your bow or the swing of a sword, it was chilling. The developers created a wonderfully atmospheric title that was remarkably realistic.

Simple to understand, but tough to master. 

Practice makes perfect. However, when you are against 31 or 63 blood-crazed people, you don’t have time to train. Accordingly, Mordhau is a tough pill to swallow. Furthermore, you’ll fail many more times than you’ll excel. As such, you must remember that failure is just part of the process. However, once you master the controls, you’ll love being the alpha warrior.

With no story to tackle, this could have become a mundane experience. Yet, I was hooked on this stupidly tough game. Whether it was unlocking new gear or trying out a different class, I didn’t care. Instead, I kept coming back for more. Consequently, if you can find a great team to work with, you’ll spend hours on this medieval title. 

Mordhau is undeniably good. 

This genre isn’t for everyone. The fear of getting beaten repeatedly by people half your age isn’t appealing. But if you can stomach the pain, you’ll have a rewarding time that eventually gets easier. As such, I enjoyed my medieval experience and I recommend that you buy it here! Wanted: Dead is a homage to the sixth generation of consoles. Consequently, this retro experience brought a smile to my face. Its arcade gameplay was hard-hitting, fast-paced and often tough as hell. However, each cruel battle was rewarding, and the story and action flowed at a comfortable pace. Moreover, it wonderfully blends the brutality of melee combat with the accuracy and cold nature of modern technology.

This hybrid hacker/slasher title was developed by Soleil Ltd and published by 101 Industries SA. Moreover, it has plenty of retro nuances and has an army of upgrades and bosses to unlock and defeat. Accordingly, it tweaks at those nostalgia-fuelled heartstrings whilst offering something fresh and exciting for modern gamers.

Use your gun to take down your foes.
Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight.

Wanted: Dead tells a grim and harsh story.

You play the role of Lt. Hannah Stone. This tough and unrelenting Hong Kong cop will stop at nothing to complete her task. However, occasionally, she’ll need help from her friends and her loyal teammates. Accordingly, though she is extremely skilled, she cannot complete her task alone. Furthermore, she must learn new skills en route and collect more powerful guns if she wishes to succeed.

The action follows the Zombie Unit. This hardcore team of Hong Kong’s finest police officers is badass and deadly. However, though they are trained to kill, they must still tread carefully as they attempt to uncover a major corporate conspiracy. Subsequently, the deeper the team delve, the more goons, mercenaries, and specially trained enemies that they face. As such, this isn’t a mission for the faint of heart.

Incredible mechanics.

I adored Wanted: Dead from the off. The action chucks you into a thorough and enjoyable tutorial. From here, you are free to explore every training regime, or you can undertake some mini-games or tackle the excellent story mode. Whatever option you choose, the action will test your abilities as well as your patience.

If you plump for the story mode, you’ll enjoy layers and layers of killing! Additionally, you must dodge, parry, and avoid your opponent’s attention. However, when this isn’t possible, you’ll allow your guns and your swords to do the talking. Each exciting encounter was enjoyable and gory. Slicing your opponent’s limbs clean from their body never got old. Alternatively, you could shoot their head clean off their shoulders if you so wished. Either way, there is plenty of claret, decapitated limbs, and destruction.

It flows perfectly.

I was thoroughly impressed by the fast-paced nature of each chapter. The action flowed perfectly from room to room. Moreover, the snippets of lore and interesting cutscenes prevented the story from becoming unmanageable. Alongside this, the excellent stage design and drip-fed weaponry ensured that the gameplay was always balanced.

What wasn’t so balanced or fair, though, was the cruel bosses. In perfect retro style, these gargantuan fools took some beating. What’s more, you need to think tactically whilst using your surroundings if you wish to progress. Thankfully, as you progress and you learn new skills, the boss encounters don’t feel so daunting. Instead, you must work out their strengths and weaknesses and create a plan accordingly.

Wanted: Dead has a pleasant modern finish.

Though Wanted: Dead is a clear homage to a classic era of gaming, it still has a pleasant modern finish. As such, it will appease both older and younger gamers. Furthermore, I loved the over-the-shoulder shooting perspective and the interesting and varied locations. Moreover, the stage design worked well in creating tight and claustrophobic encounters and spacious all-out brawls.

The audio was loud, aggressive, and often OTT. This created a dramatic and exciting experience that wouldn’t be out of place in an action film. The cutscenes and acting were just as good. I adored the gruff characters and how the plot evolved. Additionally, what’s not to love about the slashing of a sword or the boom of a gun?

Simple but effective controls.

Wanted: Dead has some excellent combo attacks. Moreover, there are so many finishing moves that you can enjoy brutally murdering every single foe you face. The decision to incorporate a range of tutorial quests was a fantastic touch. I loved the hologrammatic enemies and the tough but enticing quests you undertake. Each of these nonessential experiences improves your understanding of the gameplay without being daunting or unenjoyable.

Sadly, this isn’t the longest title I’ve played. Accordingly, around 15 hours is all you need to work your way through it. However, though it may not last forever, you’ll love every moment. What’s more, the mini-games are addictive and they each have a leaderboard. Therefore, you can play these over and over without getting bored.

Wanted: Dead is a great hybrid title.

Blending the slasher and shooter genre is not an easy task. However, the developers have done a great job. The smooth controls and excellent animation ensure that every fight is enjoyable. What’s more, I loved the upgrade system and the arsenal of weapons on offer. Additionally, the bosses were tough and unbelievably cruel. Consequently, Wanted: Dead is brilliantly old-school and a great hybrid title. Subsequently, I loved it and I recommend that you buy it here! Space Cats: Tactics combines a few of my favorite things like Space, Tactical RPGS, in depth systems, and of course, Cats. A lovely little game focused on the adventures of Captain Mitzi and his crew as they explore the depths of space while taking on dangerous missions as a mercenary attempting to steal a government ship. Things can get heated in the midst of combat and it is up to you to help guide the good Captain and his crew safely to the otherside. 

Our main character is Captain Mitzi, a mercenary who was hired to smuggle the ship, Curiosity, across the galaxy. There is one thing that you’ll notice right away is that the game is full of cat puns right from the start. If there is a play on words that you can think of, there is a good chance that it is here but that is to be expected from a game focused on Cats as the main character.

The cats were bred as war machines by humans but soon wanted to experience freedom of their own. After waging a war for themselves, the Cats were able to get their freedom but are now feared across the galaxy due to turning on those that created them. This is a typical sci-fi story and while it doesn’t go any deeper than that, it is nice to not have to memorize a plethora of made up terminology to keep up with things going on. Mitzi is as cocky as can be and this shows in every interaction he has with his crew and others but sadly that is about all there is for his character. In fact, most of the cast is full of one dimensional characters that don’t step out of their bland personality traits. This is rather disappointing since the cast is pretty small so they will wear out their welcome fast. Thankfully the gameplay is strong enough to make up for some of these shortcomings. 

You are tasked with controlling the ship and navigating through dangerous territory as you try to smuggle the ship out safely. Taking place on a grid based map, you will use action points to maneuver the ship across the map as well as engage in combat with other ships. You are able to utilize the cannons on board the Curiosity to blast asteroids and recover resources to help keep the ship running. 

Things get interesting when combat begins since the ship doesn’t automatically take an offensive stance. With the ability to zoom in and check out the interior of the ship, you are responsible for placing units in the right portions of the ship to get things moving. Want to use the guns on the ship? Better make sure you have a crew mate there. Got some cool cargo or need to refill on health before the end gets here? Now you have to move one of your crewmates from their position over to the cargo hold to make this happen. The importance of placing crewmembers in the right place is seen from the very beginning and mismanaging your crew can lead to an untimely end. There are even moments where fires may break out inside the ship, causing you to take damage over time. Since this can put a dent in your plans and might make escaping the enemy harder than it needs to be, it is important to know when it’s time to switch things up. 

While the game features a lengthy tutorial to get you into the game, there are some things that just come off as unclear and need better explanation. For example, I had a fire in my ship and I moved both of my crewmembers to the room to combat it. The animation showed them putting out the fire but there was no communication on how long it would take for the fire to be put out. I eventually had to redo the encounter simply due to my ship exploding from damage that I had no idea on how to fix. While this happened earlier in the game and is remedied once I can afford to have crew members dedicated to these tasks, this was a frustrating way to begin my journey with the team.

This is a generic space adventure with very basic features that may capture some while others struggle to get past the intro. With a few minor performance issues and some questionable design decisions, this is a simple game that is okay to pass the time with. Personally, I wish the characters had a bit more depth to them or even stepped outside of the stereotypical roles that they fill but the gameplay is okay enough to make up for that. For those who enjoy games like XCOM, I think you have a pur-fictly okay time with Mitzi and the crew.
