There is an update to the beta of Drive Bender for Windows Home Server 2011, taking it to version v1.4.5.5, also known as the Tomcat release.

Release v1.4.5.5

Update: Enabled some of the low level caching to improve pool enumeration and access speed. This caching can improve some operation by up to 10 times.
Bug fix: Under some extreme circumstances, file reads while using Smooth Stream can stall indefinitely. When this happens Drive Bender will now drop out of Smooth Stream mode for this specific file context.

I’ll have to try this with the Apple TV and the XBOX! I use Twonky’s DLNA server every day to play back video on my TV, but will have to try this new capability with AirPlay devices and the XBOX 360.
