Irvine, Calif. – April, 30 2013 – Linksys® today announced the new Dual-Band Wireless-N Range Extender – model RE2000, ideal for extending wireless coverage in the home. Consumers often experience a weak wireless signal in some parts of their house caused by blocking elements such as walls or interference from other devices like baby monitors, microwaves or DECT phones. The new Linksys Range Extender helps maximize wireless coverage and eliminates “dead spots” in the Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home.

Consumers can choose between the 2.4 or 5GHz radio bands to further improve the reach and performance of their network. “As more mobile devices are used in the home, consumers realize greater wireless coverage is needed to cover all areas of their house. The new Dual-Band Wireless-N Range Extender helps consumers expand their existing wireless network to where they need it most – whether that is upstairs, in the garden or bedroom,” said Mike Chen, senior director, product management, Linksys.
