Western Digital today unveiled its first line of wireless home networking products, designed specifically to accelerate movies, video and gaming, delivering a premium high-definition entertainment experience. In fact, there are 5 new routers and a switch as part of this new line.
StarTech.com has announced the release of the IES8100POEGB – an 8-port IEEE Power over Ethernet switch capable of delivering up to 15.4 Watts of power, as well as network data, to up to 8 PoE-compliant devices – double the capability of most IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet switches to date.
In finally decided to remove the daisy chain of small Gigabit switches in my garage and replace them with a single 24-port Gigabit switch. Since I was going to rewire the switches, I decided to also update the location of the switch and install a single UPS.
