Marvel Heroes “Fire & Ice” PvP Live and Gambit Coming Soon

0

Gazillion Entertainment have just launched the new Player versus Player (PvP) mode, Fire & Ice, for the free massively multiplayer online action RPG, Marvel Heroes. Gazillion also revealed that the kinetically charged, card-flinging X-man from Bourbon Street, Gambit, also makes his debut as a playable hero this month.  Both serve as extensions to Marvel Heroes’ largest content release to date, Game Update 2.0 – Asgard.

Fire & Ice brings a brand new PvP combat mode to Marvel Heroes, pitting two teams of five players against one another. Players are tasked with guarding allied giants and defeating enemy giants as they move to destroy the opposing team’s base while protecting their own. During each battle, players receive Runestones for defeating enemy players and giants, which can be traded for offensive and defensive PvP buffs, as well as various utilities.

At the end of each match, players receive rewards (experience, credits, and more) based on the overall outcome and stats. By participating in Fire & Ice, players may also earn a new form of currency, Asgardian Crowns, which can be used to purchase a new tier of PvP items.

While more information and materials related to Gambit are still scheduled to hit alongside his launch this month, Gazillion also released a new trailer for Loki, Marvel Heroes’ first playable villain.  Loki is the 27th class added to Marvel Heroes.

Assassins Creed IV – Black Flag Update to run at 1080p on PS4

0

Ubisoft has released a patch for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on PlayStation 4 which increases its native resolution to 1080p from the 900p native resolution.

Once you installed the game will be running at full-HD 1080p natively, The publisher said it shipped the game running at 900p to ensure a 30 frames-per-second refresh rate at launch.

“Finishing the game at 900p gave the development team the extra room in terms of the GPU and CPU usage to ensure the framerate never dips below 30 frames per second,” explained Ubisoft.

The patch also adds “a brand-new anti-aliasing technique”, which helps reduce the appearance of jagged edges on-screen. The new anti-aliasing will be active in both PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

No Twitch for Xbox One for launch

0

Twitch gameplay streaming won’t be enabled for the Xbox One launch this Friday, and Twitch says it’s aiming to include the feature “during the first part of 2014.” It’s contrasts sharply the option against the launch-enabled streaming on the PlayStation 4 that was launched last week in North America.

“We know that the ability to broadcast your Xbox One gameplay direct to Twitch is something you’re all very excited about,” Twitch said on its blog. “So are we! Microsoft is working hard to ensure that the Twitch broadcasting experience meets all of your expectations, and we’re looking forward to sharing more details with you all in the future.”

The Twitch app itself will be available when the Xbox One launches across 13 markets on 22nd November, but this is only to Gold subscribers. At launch you can watch Twitch’s complete catalog, and use Snap to play games and view Twitch content at the same time.

Xbox Record that to Skydrive

0

One of the most exciting features coming to Xbox One is the ability to record your most exciting, impressive, or just plain awesome-looking gaming accomplishments so that you can relive them over and over.

But how do you share those memorable gameplay moments in front of everyone else’s eyeballs? The answer is SkyDrive. Save and edit your clips, then upload to the cloud via SkyDrive on Xbox One.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDXm8ja8ArU

What are Game DVR and Upload Studio?
Game DVR makes it possible to capture the most epic moments in your gaming experience. You can snap it to the side of your game to begin recording up to five minutes of footage at any time. You get to choose whether you want to capture the last five minutes of gameplay or quickly capture the last 30 seconds simply by saying “Xbox, record that.” Hit the Game DVR notification or say “Xbox, go to Upload Studio” and you will quickly move into the app, where you can create personalized footage — edit multiple game clips together, trim them, add picture-in-picture video, voice over commentary or choose a skin. After you’ve put all of the finishing touches on your video, it will be uploaded to Xbox Live where your friends can see it in your activity feed.

Simply say “Xbox, go to Upload” to view all of your clips or to go back and edit anything you recorded from earlier gameplay.

How do I share my clips?
After editing a clip in Upload Studio, you’ll have the option of uploading and sharing content with your Xbox Live friends or the entire community or saving clips to SkyDrive. When you choose Save to SkyDrive, your clips will be saved into a folder titled Xbox Games Clips and the 720p mp4 file syncs across any smartphone, tablet or PC, allowing you to share your greatest game moments anywhere. With your Game DVR clips in SkyDrive, you have complete control over your clips — choose whether you want to share content beyond your Xbox Live community, host it on your own websites, save to your hard drive, wrap in your own intro and more.

We hope you’re excited about sharing your Game DVR clips. We can’t wait to see your best gaming moments and how you creatively edit and share them from Xbox One when it launches this Friday, 22nd November.
