RAID

In Raid, you’ll have to fight your way into your opponents’ base and steal a package, then deliver it back to your base to score points. Reach the target score, or deliver more packages than your opponents do in the allotted time to win the match.

HOLD

When playing Hold, teams must collect and store as many packages as possible in their base. Packages can either be found on the map, or stolen from the opposing team’s bases. Reach the target score, or hold the most packages when the time runs out, to win.

GTA

As the ubiquitous acronym might suggest, GTA mode tasks players with stealing target vehicles located all around the map, before bringing them back to their respective bases. Each team must fight to steal more vehicles in the allotted time than their opponents.

CONTEND

In Contend, there’s only one package, situated in the middle of the map. Teams must fight to bring this package back to their respective bases, and once the package is captured it respawns in the middle of the map and is up for grabs again.

Capture will be available as part of today’s automatic update for GTA Online (1.08), which also includes a host of fixes and dynamic tuning updates.

Final Fantasy XIV : A Realm Reborn 2.1 Update is Out Now

0

a realm awoken

SQUARE ENIX has announced the new Patch 2.1 update for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN is now available.  Dubbed A REALM AWOKEN, the Patch 2.1 update offers a wealth of exciting new gameplay content, including:

The Crystal Tower: Reaching to the heavens, this massive monolith, long thought to be a legend from eras past, has been unearthed in the wake of the Calamity. What could be the purpose of this crystalline construct, and what forgotten relics now stir within its walls? Those who would unravel these mysteries must first win their way through the Labyrinth of the Ancients, the perilous maze that leads to the entrance of the tower proper.

Tackle this new dungeon with up to 24 players and do battle with the dark forces that have awoken within.

The Wolves’ Den: Named after a crew of Roegadyn Sea Wolves that first discovered this odd crucible-shaped island off the shores of Limsa Lominsa, this PvP Arena will soon open to all the Grand Companies of Eorzea, in the hope that the staged battles held here will raise the realm’s defences.

Housing: The Lavender Beds (Gridania), the Goblet (Ul’dah) and Mist (Limsa Lominsa) are the three distinctive residential districts of each of the city-states. Enjoy creating a unique base of operations for your free company members to call home. Purchase a plot of land and then start your build, with customizable fixtures for the house, as well as interior and exterior decorations and furnishings.

Thornmarch: The Moogles are trying to resurrect their legendary leader, Good King Moggle Mog XII. Will the return of this mythical being pose a threat for the Warriors of Light?

Beast Tribe Quests: Learn about the beast tribes of Eorzea in these daily quests.

Treasure Hunt: Search for buried treasure with up to four players to obtain rich spoils.

Aesthetician: A new quest has been added that will allow you to befriend an aesthetician of great talent.  Completing it will allow you to change your hairstyle, face paint, and more.

Hildibrand, Agent of Enquiry: Nashu Mhakarraca, Hildibrand’s faithful assistant will need to muster up all her powers of deduction to unravel the many mysteries that beleaguer Eorzea. Unusual zombie activity in Ul’dah, you say? This smells like a case!

Pharos Sirius: This abandoned lighthouse, strikingly pierced by corrupted crystals, has been made the domain of the siren of Umbra. Adventurers must venture within and defeat the seductress and her legion of undead minions if this beacon of civilization is to shine once more.

Haukke Manor (Hard), Copperbell Mines (Hard): New dangers and formidable foes await those who would dare revisit and test themselves against the new hard mode for each of these dungeons.

Duty Roulette: The Duty Roulette allows players to enter instanced dungeons, trials and guildhests at random. There are four roulette categories, each of which can be selected once per day and adventurers can reap some great bonus rewards.

The Howling Eye (Extreme), The Navel (Extreme), The Bowl of Embers (Extreme): New extreme battles against three primals: Garuda, Titan and Ifrit.

The Minstrel’s Ballad: Ultima’s Bane: Test yourself against the Ultima Weapon once more in this new hard-mode boss battle.

Main Scenario Quests: Where there is light, there is always shadow. The beast tribes persist in their efforts to summon the primals. The once defeated Garlean forces resurface, harbouring renewed ambitions of conquest. And the baleful Ascians lurk in the shadows, their presence rousing dark forces long since forgotten.

As new threats emerge, adventurers must once again heed the Crystal’s call.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is available now on the PlayStation 3 and Windows PC and is coming to the PlayStation 4th April, 2014.  A free 30-day trial is included for new accounts, with monthly subscriptions starting at £7.69 / €10.99.

-Reduced the probability of the “Kill trade” issue (see below for details).
-Fixed a crash that could occur when bringing up the scoreboard.

-Servers that friends are playing on have a higher priority in the server list.
-Fixed the instance where players suddenly would transition into Spectator Mode while playing the Defuse game mode.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the revive screen after being killed.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the kill camera after being revived. Note that you might see a graphical bug on-screen after being revived when accepting a revive within 1 second. This graphical bug will be removed in the next patch.
-Fix for the death camera/screen being displayed too early.
-Fix for a Defuse bug where none of the teams would win a round by letting the timer runs out.
-Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “road killing” opponents.

-Balanced vehicle miniguns to do more damage versus infantry.
-Fix for the game mode specific ribbons being counted twice in the multiplayer progression.

-Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in infinite loading when connecting to a server.
-Fix for side gunners in attack boats and transport helicopters experiencing jitter when aiming.
-Fixed the issue with Levolution events sometimes not being triggered properly when playing the Rush, Defuse, Obliteration and Team/Squad Deathmatch game modes.
-Removed the SCAR-H and Ace 52 damage tweaks that were included in a previous patch.

Kill trading issue
We’ve addressed the so-called “Kill trading”. This refers to when two players fire at each other and, seemingly, both die at the same time. The time window where a bullet could cause damage from an already dead player is now calculated as intended, decreasing the timeframe when players with high latency could get a kill, even though they should be dead according to the server. This should reduce the probability of kill trading.

Watch a 9 plus minutes gameplay trailer of Dying Light

0

Yes Dying Light may be open world zombie game from Techland, but the Dead Island creator looks like it is trying something a little different this time. Players will be more inclined to run away and dodge the corpses, using fancy running jumping parkour skills.

The trailer seems to be from early stage in the game, explaining basics like distracting zombies with firecrackers, triggering traps, running away from hordes rather than fighting, and trying real hard to be somewhere safe before nightfall.

Dying Light is due in 2014 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC
