Watch 15 minutes of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Today at the PlayStation Experience it kicked off with a first look at gameplay for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Nathan Drake’s latest adventure showed off more of the shooting, exploration, and stunning environments that the Uncharted series has become recognized for.

The presentation wasn’t always pretty, with Drake falling through a piece of the map at one point, but the display was an impressive one, nonetheless. It was especially so, in light of the early disclaimer that this was all running on PS4 hardware, rather than a PC dev kit. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

The game was running at 1080p at 30 frames per second, and will release in 2015.

Hideo Kojima has announced Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will include the resurrection of Metal Gear Solid Online.

A trailer for Metal Gear Solid Online was presented shortly after it was announced which shows off the game’s character customizations. The game will use the new Fox Engine and will allow players to perform many of the moves that are possible in the single-player campaign, which includes using stealth, cover, sprinting, and even the use of decoys.

Metal Gear Online was originally made available for the PlayStation 3 back in 2008, although its servers went offiline in 2012. This is the first time Metal Gear Online has been resurrected since, which I’m sure will leave many fans of the original experience jumping in as soon as it’s made available.

Watch the new Dying Light story trailer

0

In the latest trailer for Dying Light, Techland for the first time ever give a sneak peek into the storyline of their open-world, action survival game.

Looking for inspirations for Dying Light, we delved into classics of international literature, such as Albert Camus’s The Plague and Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness,” explains Rafał Orkan, a novelist and co-author of Dying Light’s story. “With our game, we wanted  to evoke similar emotions and offer players an insight into how people react to the extreme.”

Roaming a city devastated by a mysterious epidemic that turns people into zombies, players will assume the role of Kyle Crane, an undercover operative sent to infiltrate the quarantine zone. Sheer chaos, warring factions and a suspicious mission all tug at Crane’s decisions for what he has been told is “the greater good”. Yet who decides when greater good turns into necessary evil?

“Going into Dying Light, I was blown away by the visuals of the game and was surprised by such a mature, intense script. I’m honored Techland let me be a small part of this gritty tale of survival. Can’t wait to see people’s reactions when they find out what’s really going on in the story and I can’t wait to play the game myself!” says Roger Craig Smith, the voice behind Kyle Crane and known from such popular titles as Batman: Arkham Origins and many more.

Dying Light Producer Tymon Smektala will also be live at this year’s Sony PSX event with a live stream right after the keynote address. Expect new gameplay, a new enemy type reveal and never before seen skills.

Tune into the official Sony Twitch channel or PlayStation Network at 11:30 PST on today 6th (December).

Dying Light is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC, and is scheduled for release in 2015 on 27th January in the Americas, 28th January in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and 30th January in Europe.

Kings Quest is back and looks epic

A new King’s Quest game is in the works (a game I loved in the past), developed by The Odd Gentleman and published by Sierra, the new King’s Quest “reimagines the humour, puzzles, exploration and sense of wonder” that the original franchise brought over thirty years ago.

The original hero of the King’s Quest games, King Graham, is now an old man, and he shares the extraordinary stories of his youth with his curious granddaughter, Gwendolyn. Check out the trailer for more info.

Kings Quest is expected to release in the Fall of 2015 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC.
