Review: ASUS ROG Ally X

The Best Handheld Gaming PC in 2025?

The handheld gaming scene is heating up, and Asus is back in the spotlight with its updated ROG Ally X. This new version improves on the original (reviewed here) with a larger battery, upgraded RAM, and a sleek new design. It’s a powerful machine that packs desktop-level gaming into a device you can hold in your hands.

Sleek, Gamer-Friendly Design

The Asus ROG Ally X features a smooth, matte black finish that lends it a premium, understated appearance. It feels sturdy but not bulky, weighing just under 1.5 pounds. The updated hand grips are noticeably more comfortable, and the overall shape makes it easier to hold for long sessions.

The button placement is smart, with responsive analogue sticks, a tactile D-pad, rear paddles, and nicely tuned triggers. The build quality is excellent, and Asus has clearly refined this version based on honest user feedback from the original model.

It’s lighter and easier to use than the Lenovo Legion Go, which, while powerful, is bulkier and less portable.

Vibrant Display with 120Hz Refresh Rate

The 7-inch Full HD screen is bright, sharp, and smooth. With a 120Hz refresh rate, games feel fluid, whether you’re playing fast shooters or detailed open-world titles. It covers 100% of the sRGB colour range and can hit up to 500 nits of brightness, making it easy to use in bright environments, but still not perfect outside on a sunny day.

Protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, the touchscreen is responsive and durable. While the Legion Go does offer a more prominent and sharper display (8.8 inches, QHD+, 144Hz), the ROG Ally X still holds its own with better portability and very strong visuals.

Serious Gaming Power Under the Hood

Inside, the ROG Ally X is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip. It’s an 8-core, 16-thread processor paired with Radeon graphics based on the RDNA 3 architecture. With 24GB of fast LPDDR5x RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, this handheld is more powerful than many entry-level gaming laptops.

Storage is expandable with a high-speed UHS-II microSD card slot, giving you extra room for games and media, supporting up to 2TB.

ASUS ROG Ally X Real-World Game Performance

We tested a variety of popular games to assess the ROG Ally X’s performance. Using medium to high settings and AMD’s FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution), the results were impressive:

  • Cyberpunk 2077: 55–60 FPS (medium settings, FSR enabled)
  • Elden Ring: 60 FPS locked (high settings)
  • Forza Horizon 5: 60 FPS solid (high settings)
  • Apex Legends: 90–100 FPS (medium settings)
  • Baldur’s Gate 3: 50–60 FPS (high settings)
  • Starfield: 40–50 FPS (balanced settings with FSR)

You can toggle performance modes using the Armoury Crate SE software, choosing between silent, balanced, and turbo profiles depending on whether you’re docked or gaming on the go.

Improved Battery Life That Lasts

One of the most significant upgrades is the new 80Wh battery, which is double the size of the original ROG Ally. This translates to:

  • Light gaming or indie titles: 6 to 8 hours
  • AAA games on medium settings: 2.5 to 4 hours
  • Streaming or general use: Up to 10 hours

Charging is handled via USB-C with 65W fast charging, and dual USB-C ports give you the freedom to connect external devices or charge while docked.

How It Compares to the Lenovo Legion Go

The Lenovo Legion Go (Our review here) is a strong competitor, boasting a larger 8.8-inch QHD+ screen and detachable controllers, which makes it more akin to a hybrid between a Switch and a handheld PC. It’s excellent for desktop-style gaming thanks to its built-in kickstand and modular design.

However, the bigger screen comes with trade-offs. The Legion Go is heavier and less comfortable to use in handheld mode. Battery life is also shorter, averaging just 2 hours during high-performance gaming, compared to the ROG Ally X’s 4+ hours.

Audio quality is also better on the ROG Ally X. The speakers are clearer and louder, while the Legion Go’s sound is tinny and lacks bass.

Overall, if you want versatility and don’t mind the size, the Legion Go is a fun option. But for long sessions, portability, and everyday use, the ROG Ally X is the more balanced and practical choice.

What’s Not So Great About the ASUS ROG Ally X?

Although the ROG Ally X is a significant step forward, it’s not perfect. Here are a few things worth noting:

1. Still Runs Windows 11 (Not Always Handheld-Friendly)

While Windows 11 provides access to a wide range of features, from Steam and Xbox Game Pass to mod tools, it’s not optimised for a small touchscreen. Navigating with your fingers can feel clunky, and the on-screen keyboard isn’t always responsive; unlike the Legion Go, it also lacks a trackpad. Armoury Crate SE helps bridge the gap, but it’s still a desktop OS on a handheld device.

2. No Built-in Stand or Dock

Unlike the Legion Go, which features a built-in kickstand and optional dock, the Ally X requires third-party accessories to prop it up or connect it to a monitor easily. For a premium device, it feels like a missed opportunity, and it isn’t worth mentioning the poor excuse for a stand included in the box, which feels like a cheap egg carton.

3. Price

The ROG Ally X isn’t cheap and currently retails for £799. It sits at the higher end of the handheld gaming market, and while you do get excellent value for the performance, the cost may put it out of reach for more casual gamers.

4. Fan Noise in Turbo Mode

When the device is running in turbo mode, the fans can get noticeably loud. It’s not unbearable, but it’s something you’ll notice if you’re gaming in a quiet room or using speakers instead of headphones.

Connectivity and Ports

The ROG Ally X includes a wide range of ports for flexibility:

  • USB 4 Type-C (with charging and display output)
  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • UHS-II microSD card reader

Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 ensure fast connections for both online gaming and wireless accessories.

What’s In The Box?

  • Asus ROG Ally X Device
  • 65W USB-C Charger
  • USB-C Cable
  • Black Stand (Terrible!)
  • Paperwork

Final Verdict On The ASUS ROG Ally X: A Powerful Handheld with Room to Improve

The Asus ROG Ally X is a powerful and portable gaming PC that hits most of the right notes. It’s fast, comfortable to use, and lasts long enough on a single charge to enjoy actual gaming sessions away from a charger. It handles popular games beautifully and offers better balance than bulkier devices like the Lenovo Legion Go.

Still, it has its flaws. The Windows experience is still suboptimal on a small screen, and a built-in stand would have been beneficial. But if you’re serious about handheld gaming and want a device that performs like a desktop in your hands, the ROG Ally X is one of the best choices available today.

Review: Streamplify HUB CTRL 7 USB Hub

The Best Hub for Streamers and Creators in 2025

In a digital world filled with webcams, microphones, external drives, and lighting gear, having enough USB ports has become essential, especially for streamers, content creators, and power users. The Streamplify HUB CTRL 7 USB Hub was designed to tackle this challenge head-on, offering a stylish, powerful, and intelligent solution to connect multiple USB devices without compromising speed or reliability.

Whether you’re building a streaming setup or upgrading your workstation, this might just be the hub you didn’t know you needed.

Designed with Creators in Mind

Streamplify is a brand dedicated to meeting the needs of modern creators, and the HUB CTRL 7 reflects that vision in every way. Right away, the hub stands out with its minimalist black design, clean edges, and compact desktop form factor. It’s built to complement any workspace, whether you’re into RGB-lit setups or a clean, cable-managed desk.

What makes the design truly functional is the inclusion of seven USB 3.0 Type-A ports, each equipped with a dedicated power button and a subtle RGB-lit indicator. These buttons enable you to control individual devices with a single press, turning them on or off without the need for physical unplugging. This is ideal for creators who frequently switch between streaming, editing, gaming, or meetings and don’t want to reconfigure their entire setup each time.

Powerful Performance Backed by External Power

Unlike standard USB hubs that rely entirely on your computer’s power, the Streamplify HUB CTRL 7 includes a dedicated 48-watt power adapter. This external power source ensures that each connected device receives consistent and sufficient power, even when all seven ports are in use.

The hub supports USB 3.0 speeds of up to 5 Gbps, allowing you to transfer large files quickly and efficiently. During testing, it handled simultaneous device connections with ease. For instance, connecting an external SSD, a DSLR camera, a microphone, and multiple lighting devices resulted in smooth performance without a single dropout.

If you frequently encounter the frustrating issue of devices randomly disconnecting or slowing down due to low power, this hub eliminates those problems. It’s made for serious work and multitasking.

Plug-and-Play Simplicity

Setting up the HUB CTRL 7 is a breeze. It connects to your PC using a single USB-A to USB-A cable and doesn’t require any drivers or software installation. The power adapter plugs into a standard wall outlet, and once everything is connected, you’re good to go. There are also clear plastic symbols or number tiles that you can drop in to label each port, allowing the RGB light to pass through.

The hub is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, making it a solid option for just about any desktop or laptop setup. It even works with gaming consoles for accessory management, although not all features, such as high-speed transfers, will be fully supported on non-PC platforms.

Real-World Use Cases

Here’s where the HUB CTRL 7 shines: everyday usability. Whether you’re a full-time Twitch streamer, a remote worker on Zoom calls, or a content creator juggling drives and gear, this hub simplifies your workflow.

We tested the hub with:

  • A webcam
  • A condenser microphone
  • A stream deck
  • An external SSD
  • RGB keyboard and mouse
  • LED light strip
  • Capture card

Even with all ports filled, the devices stayed powered and responsive. The ability to switch off devices like the ring light or microphone with a single press saves time and reduces clutter.

This is especially helpful when transitioning between work modes. The HUB CTRL 7 adapts with you.

The Control You Didn’t Know You Needed

The individual on/off switches is one of the most underrated features. In most USB hubs, all ports are either active or inactive. Here, you can disable a single device while keeping the rest connected. This has benefits beyond convenience:

  • Reduce power draw when certain devices aren’t in use
  • Prevent interruptions from cameras or input devices that auto-launch software
  • Troubleshoot quickly by isolating problem peripherals

This level of control makes it ideal not only for streamers but also for everyday users who manage multiple devices simultaneously.

Price and Value Of The HUB CTRL 7

At £49.99, the Streamplify HUB CTRL 7 offers excellent value. You get seven high-speed USB 3.0 ports, a dedicated 48W power supply, physical port controls, and a clean design with subtle RGB. Compared to generic hubs in the same price range, most don’t offer anywhere near this level of power management or build quality.

Pros and Cons For The HUB CTRL 7

Pros:

  • Seven USB 3.0 ports with individual control
  • External 48W power adapter for reliable performance
  • Easy plug-and-play setup
  • Modern, desk-friendly design
  • Great for streamers, creators, and professionals

Cons:

  • No USB-C ports for newer peripherals
  • Slightly larger than ultra-compact hubs
  • No SD card reader (though this isn’t its focus)

Final Verdict On The HUB CTRL 7: Worth It for Any Serious Setup

If your current USB hub feels like it’s barely keeping up. If you’re tired of unplugging devices to maintain system stability, the Streamplify HUB CTRL 7 USB Hub is worth the upgrade.

It’s not just another USB hub. It’s a smart, creator-focused tool designed to power your devices, simplify your workflow, and give you more control over your workspace.

Visit the Streamplify website for more information on this and other products. If you need a great camera to accompany the HUB CTRL 7, check out our review of the Streamplify Cam.

Suspicions of an Egyptian Mythology-Set God of War Game Building Momentum

0

From 2005 to 2015, God of War on PlayStation 2 to God of War III Remastered on PlayStation 4, Kratos was locked into Greek mythology. In the run to the 2018 release of God of War on PS4, Santa Monica Studio decided to shift the ancient Greek god-killer into the realms of Norse mythology. As it turns out, the shift was a stroke of genius that enriched the series and resulted in two all-conquering story-driven games. Next, Kratos might move again.

Kratos Seems Set for an Ever-Popular Mythical Setting

It took five years for the team to move from God of War: Ascension, develop a whole new setting and experience of 2018’s God of War, and release it to the masses. So, there are likely a few more years left to wait for the follow-up to the immensely popular and very satisfying end to the Norse duology, which came out in 2022. God of War Ragnarök held a high bar, but in it, like its predecessor, it hinted at other worlds to be explored.

Given the popularity of the setting, it’s easy to understand why gamers are hoping that Ancient Egypt is next. Across gaming, the setting remains a big draw. This goes for everything, from console games to online casino games. In fact, on the latter, Ancient Egypt is incredibly prevalent. Clearly done to meet demand, the Megaways casino has seen Eye of Horus Megaways and Book of Tut Megaways maintain a very high standing in the collection.

While the latter leans into the intrigue of the pharaohs and, specifically, Tutankhamun, it’s the former that more closely reflects the intrigue in the setting. Horus is a very well-known figure in pop culture, and the falcon-headed deity plays into the mechanics of the slot. Elsewhere, Total War: Pharaoh had a lot of momentum until it launched in an unfinished state, only increasing the desire for a fully-fledged exploration of the setting.

Luckily, in the hands of trusted mythology explorers in a proven, much-loved game series, Egyptian mythology looks to be the next stop for Kratos. Many have theorised this since 2022, especially once the concept art put to one side before the Norse duology depicting a sandstorm was revealed. Now, an industry insider, per this NME article, is saying that “Middle Eastern” actors are being hired for a new triple-A game.

It’s Not Just the New Potential Setting That’s Running Hot

On 22 March, the studio, Sony, and fans around the world celebrated the 20th anniversary of God of War. With this momentous occasion, the team released a load of free gear for players. As detailed in the PlayStation blog post, players can jump into God of War Ragnarök to get the Dark Odyssey Collection, which includes his new armour for companions, new weapon and shield aesthetics, and the superb God Mode difficulty reward in God of War II.

Before the end of the year, there’s also said to be another outing for God of War to further celebrate the two decades since its arrival. Set in Greece, the “side-story project” isn’t going to be a remaster collection – which would be welcomed by gamers – with those rumours said to be a bit of a push. It seems likely that the new Greek additions will come to God of War Ragnarök rather than be a new release entirely.

Given Sony’s highly anticipated slate for 2025 and the upcoming release of GTA VI, it seems unlikely that we’ll hear any kind of confirmation of the next God of War this year. Next year, however, the growing suspicions of Kratos dipping into ancient Egyptian myths might just be confirmed.

Review: SK Hynix Tube T31 Lies of P SSD

High-Speed Storage with a Gaming Twist

The SK Hynix Tube T31 Lies of P SSD is not your average portable drive. It combines the trusted performance of SK Hynix’s solid-state technology with an eye-catching, limited-edition design inspired by the action-packed game Lies of P. If you’re a gamer, content creator, or professional who works with large files, this drive offers both the speed you need and a design that stands out.

A Limited Edition Design That Stands Out

What sets this drive apart at first glance is its Lies of P-themed design. The Tube T31 features detailed artwork that references the game’s iconic Legion Arm. It is clear this edition was made for fans of the game, but the design is subtle enough that it still looks sleek and professional.

The body of the drive is shaped like a thick USB stick, giving it a compact form factor. It is small enough to carry in your pocket yet sturdy enough for daily use. The casing is well-built and gives a premium feel, even though it is technically a promotional piece. The design demonstrates that you don’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for performance.

Speed and Performance That Deliver

Inside, the Tube T31 uses USB 3.2 Gen2 technology, allowing read and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s. During everyday use, most users will experience speeds averaging around 800 MB/s on systems that support USB 3.2 Gen 2. That is more than enough for moving large media files, backing up projects, or installing and transferring games.

In benchmark tests, the Tube T31 performed consistently well. Large video files and high-resolution images are transferred quickly. Compared to traditional USB flash drives, this SSD is in a league of its own. While it may resemble a USB stick on the outside, it offers the speed and reliability of a full-sized external solid-state drive (SSD).

Designed for Gaming, But Versatile for Everyone

This limited-edition SSD is a natural fit for gamers. It works well with gaming PCs, laptops, and even consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. You can use it to back up your game library or transfer game capture footage with ease. However, it is important to note that you cannot run console games directly from the drive due to system limitations. It functions best as a storage and transfer solution, not a substitute for extended storage on consoles.

The Tube T31 is also perfect for creators. Video editors, photographers, and digital artists can use it to transfer and back up large files quickly. It handles 4K video footage with ease and supports real-time editing from the drive on capable systems.

Whether you are working on client projects or storing raw assets, this drive delivers the speed and portability you need.

Plug-and-Play Simplicity

No software installation is required. Just plug the Tube T31 into a compatible USB port, and it works instantly. It is fully plug-and-play with Windows, macOS, Linux, and even Android devices when using a USB-C adapter. This makes it a great solution for professionals who move between systems or work in hybrid environments.

The two-stick setup in this Lies of P edition offers a total of 2TB storage (2 x 1TB drives). This makes it easier to organise different types of files; you could use one for media and the other for backups, for example.

Real-world Performance and Usability

We tested the Tube T31 across several devices and workflows. On a gaming PC, the drive maintained consistent read and write speeds while transferring a 100GB folder containing mixed media formats. On a MacBook Pro, it integrated smoothly into video editing workflows using Final Cut Pro. On Android devices, it handled 4K video playback and file transfers without any hiccups.

The drive does get a bit warm during long file transfers, but it never overheated or caused performance drops. This is expected behaviour for high-speed drives in a compact shell and is not a cause for concern.

The only downside we encountered was the physical size. While still pocket-friendly, the drive may block adjacent USB ports on laptops or desktops with closely spaced ports. Using a short USB extension cable can easily resolve this issue.

SK Hynix Tube T31 Lies of P SSD Compatibility Overview

  • Windows: Fully supported, ideal for media transfer and game backups
  • macOS: Works seamlessly for file management and editing workflows
  • Linux: Plug-and-play, no driver installation needed
  • Android: Use with a USB-C OTG adapter for mobile file access
  • Gaming Consoles: Great for storing and transferring games, but not for playing games directly from the drive

Pros and Cons Of The SK Hynix Tube T31 Lies of P SSD

Pros:
  • Fast performance with USB 3.2 Gen2 speeds up to 1,000 MB/s
  • Limited edition design for Lies of P fans
  • Durable and compact for everyday use
  • Includes two 1TB sticks for flexible storage options
  • Compatible with PCs, Macs, Android, and consoles
Cons:
  • Slightly larger than a standard USB flash drive
  • May block nearby USB ports on compact devices
  • Not usable for direct gameplay on consoles

Final Thoughts On The SK Hynix Tube T31 Lies of P SSD: A Winning Combo of Speed and Style

The SK Hynix Tube T31 Lies of P SSD is more than just a cool collectable. It is a serious, high-speed portable SSD designed for real users. Whether you are backing up footage, storing large game files, or keeping your creative work safe on the go, this drive delivers excellent performance wrapped in a stylish design.

The limited-edition artwork lends it a unique identity, but beneath the surface lies a robust SSD that competes with top-tier portable drives on the market. If you want fast storage and you are a fan of Lies of P, this is a no-brainer.

All you need to know about Eclipsa Audio

0

Source: Unsplash

Eclipsa Audio is an innovative, new spatial audio technology engineered by Samsung Electronics in collaboration with Google. This solution aims to redefine the way we consume sound across all kinds of devices.

The technology was debuted at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. The state-of-the-art 3D audio format is designed to provide three-dimensional soundscapes, which shift across the speakers and deliver a sense of depth and realism that no other piece of audio technology can offer.

The collaboration between Samsung and Google

In 2023, Samsung and Google, as part of the Alliance for Open Media (AOM), co-developed the Immersive Audio Model and Formats (IAMF), which has since been adopted as the industry standard for 3D audio. This partnership led to the creation of Eclipsa Audio, an open-source spatial audio format that allows content creators to produce immersive audio experiences without the burden of licensing fees.

By democratising access to advanced audio technology, Eclipsa Audio empowers creators to craft rich, multidimensional soundscapes across various media platforms.

The use cases of spatial audio technology

The applications for spatial audio technology like Eclipsa Audio are growing year-on-year. It has the potential to enhance the immersivity of all kinds of digital media. First and foremost, it has the ability to create a heightened sense of presence and situational awareness in video and online gaming. By rendering sound from multiple directions, it’s easier to detect in-game movements and actions.

Spatial audio can even be used to heighten the atmosphere of basic games like online slot titles, which are increasingly popular due to their mobile compatibility. Even online bingo rooms now include hundreds of online slots, many of which have their own unique themes. Imagine Halloween-themed slots with spine-tingling spatial audio panning footsteps or eerie sounds from left to right, as if there’s someone peering at you while the reels spin. It doesn’t get more immersive than that.

Film producers can also utilise Eclipsa Audio to craft enveloping soundscapes that draw audiences deeper into a narrative. Whether it’s the subtle rustling of leaves or the dramatic roar of an explosion, spatial audio adds depth and realism to cinematic storytelling.

Eclipsa’s integration with Samsung TVs and Android mobiles

Source: Unsplash

Samsung has integrated Eclipsa Audio into its 2025 TV lineup, ranging from the Crystal UHD series to the premium Neo QLED 8K models. This integration enables viewers to experience lifelike 3D audio directly from their television sets.

Beyond televisions, Eclipsa Audio is set to enhance audio experiences on Android devices. An impending launch of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) will include Eclipsa Audio support, bringing spatial audio capabilities to a wide range of smartphones and tablets. Owners of Samsung Galaxy devices will especially look forward to software updates that will enable Eclipsa Audio on their devices, allowing for immersive sound experiences in mobile gaming, video streaming, and music playback.

Dolby Atmos has been out on its own as the pioneering spatial audio format for some time now. Eclipsa Audio emerges as Dolby’s first genuine competitor. Eclipsa’s ability to operate via an open-source framework helps to set it apart from Dolby Atmos, throwing out the need for licensing fees and encouraging mainstream adoption from producers, designers and developers worldwide.

Game Over or Jackpot? How Gaming Instincts Boost Your Chances at New Online Casinos

0

Video gaming and online casino gambling share many similarities, with gamers who transition into the latter often discovering that their skills, such as quick decision-making, pattern recognition, and risk assessment, give them an edge in these new environments. Although luck plays an integral role, strategic instincts honed through gaming can significantly increase outcomes – this article looks into how these transferable skills work for you effectively and how best to use them.

1. Pattern Recognition: Looking Beyond Randomness

Gamers excel at identifying patterns in enemy behavior, puzzle solutions, and level design. This skill translates well to casino games such as slots, poker, and roulette; even though their outcomes are unpredictable, being aware of any trends within pay lines, card sequences, or wheel spins may help players make wiser bets.

Noticing an opponent’s bluffing pattern in poker resembles recognizing boss attack patterns in action games. Even in slots, taking note of volatility and payout frequency can inform your betting strategy. Key takeaways include:

  • Before increasing bets in slots, make note of the frequency with which bonus triggers occur.
  • Track recent numbers (though each spin can be considered independent, physical wheels can have biases that could negatively affect results).
  • Blackjack: To get the most out of playing blackjack, learn basic strategy charts – they act like gaming cheat codes to guide optimal decisions.

2. Risk Management: Knowing When to Push or Fold

Gamers understand risk versus reward, whether saving health potions for a final boss or choosing when and how to attack. The same logic applies to bankroll management in casinos: an experienced gamer knows not to waste resources early, and smart casino players avoid reckless betting that drains their balance.

Knowing when and how to hit, stand, or fold is critical in games such as blackjack or poker, where one wrong move could cost everything. Establishing limits before beginning can help ensure you won’t chase losses recklessly.

3. Quick Decision-Making Under Pressure

Fast-paced games teach players to think quickly on their feet, an essential skill in live dealer casino gaming. Poker tournaments, for example, require rapid calculations of odds and opponent behavior–much like real-time strategy games–so any hesitation may result in missing an important bluff or failing to capitalize on a high-percentage bet.

Even in crash games (players must cash out before reaching an unpredictable collision point), split-second timing can determine whether big wins come to fruition or total losses occur. Gamers are accustomed to reacting quickly and adapt more quickly than casual players to these mechanics.

4. Learning Curves: Mastering New Games Efficiently

Gamers are adept at quickly mastering mechanics through tutorials and trial-and-error, making them adept at quickly exploring new casino games instead of sticking with one familiar title they already know about. Instead, their instinct drives them toward:

  • Before playing, research the rules and strategies.
  • Make small bets at low stakes to assess mechanics.
  • Analyze RTP (Return to Player) percentages like in-game stats.

This approach reduces losses while increasing understanding, leading to improved long-term results.

5. Emotional Control: Remaining Composed After Wins and Losses

Gamers understand the danger of tilting or allowing their frustrations to cloud judgment, which leads to poorer performance. A seasoned gamer treats losses like failed-level attempts, analyzing mistakes rather than giving up out of frustration.

Reducing emotional responses helps prevent making hasty decisions like the “Martingale trap” when following a strategy, such as following a game walkthrough. Instead, sticking to a planned approach ensures steady progress.

Conclusion

Gaming instincts offer an undisputable edge in new online casinos–pattern recognition, risk management, quick thinking, adaptability, and emotional control all contribute to smarter play. Although no strategy guarantees a win, leveraging these skills tilts the odds in your favor. It should be treated like a skill-based challenge rather than pure luck: entertainment mixed with disciplined strategy will determine whether it ends or becomes a jackpot!

Review: Asdivine Dios

Asdivine Dios is a classic RPG with an epic God Vs Human edge. This plot is the key aspect of the game and something that drives you back repeatedly. The core mechanics and gameplay loop are all too familiar and if you’ve played any other EXE-CREATE game, you will know exactly what to expect. This isn’t a bad thing, it’s more of a forewarning if you want something with a little originality.

This old-school RPG was developed by EXE-CREATE and published by KEMCO. It is part of a large KEMCO bundle or it can be purchased separately. I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing them all and it is a bit of a mixed bag. However, I feel the bundle is good value for money and genre enthusiasts will not be disappointed.

Asdivine Dios tells an epic tale.

Asdivine Dios tells a monstrous tale across its roughly 15-hour playtime. A deity of Asdivine has lost his powers. Izayoi must prevent the murk from destroying his beloved land. If he was endowed with his powers, this would be a challenging time. Yet, no power means he must work with others to save the world he created.

This blend of God-like mentality and the blind faith of followers is a success as the team of heroes works together to take Odium down. This interesting dynamic pushes the story in weird and wonderful directions. You suspect that Izayoi looks down his godly nose at the lowly humans. Whereas his followers, Iris, Friya, and Minerva work together to achieve the end goal. It is an unlikely team that takes a while to warm up. However, once things kick off, the story, characters, and gameplay work nicely together.

Familiar ideas.

Like many of its peers, Asdivine Dios has an overwhelming battle ethos. The surprise encounters are never-ending! This was a little tiresome and I groaned as I made my way from point A to B. Thankfully, many of the battles were quick and this was a small mercy. The turn-based ideas do not break the mould. Moreover, you can automate things if you wish, but this removes the tactical elements. Consequently, I rarely did this as the minuscule time saving wasn’t enough of a reward.

There is a blend of different attacks and magic at your disposal. Additionally, you may choose a leader to apply buffs to the team. This was an important tactical idea that is worth exploring. As you complete each battle, you are awarded XP, gold, and other bits and pieces. Subsequently, it is a familiar affair that won’t blow you away. Though it lacks originality, it works well and I enjoyed it across the relatively short playtime.

Asdivine Dios is gloriously old-school.

The overworld, battles, and safe areas were great to look at. Rich colours and a pixelated style reminded me of every early Mega Drive game. What’s more, the simple UI makes it easy to complete every fight and understand what is happening. The boss battles were great and there was something magical about the insanely big brutes that you have to take down.

The audio is familiar as well. There is a nice blend of upbeat tunes and ridiculously dramatic moments. The sound effects are loud and crass and will make you cringe. Though it is loud and occasionally uncomfortable, it rarely outstays its welcome.

Simple controls.

Asdivine Dios will not blow you away with complex controls. Instead, the developer has kept things simple and easy to understand. A thorough tutorial gets you up to speed. This was great as I hate to waste my time learning tricky and bloated controls.

Once you’ve hit the credits, you will be ready to move on to another game. Though I enjoyed my time with Asdivine Dios, I was happy to put it down. There is a list of achievements if you are a completionist. Yet, if this isn’t your thing, you can avoid a lengthy second playthrough.

Asdivine Dios is a good RPG.

I like dated RPGs. However, playing the KEMCO bundle back-to-back has tested my resolve. This 4 piece collection is a joy to play, but I recommend breaking it up with other genres. Asdivine Dios has a decent story and many of the mechanics are great to experience. However, I didn’t like the never-ending waves of random encounters. This was a minor thing and I recommend buying it here! Can you save Asdivine? Master your skills, kill every monster, and save the day.

Review: NeoRuler Go Premium Combo

Finding the perfect gift for someone who has an eye for detail and an artistic flair can be a nightmare. Do you try to appease their creative side or do you push for something more technical? Either way, you could be doomed and this makes it an unenviable task. Thankfully, HOZO DESIGN will help with this tricky predicament. The NeoRuler Go Premium Combo is the perfect gift set for artists, designers, or tech-loving individuals.

It contains some incredible tools that focus on beauty, intricacy, and technical wizardry. What’s more, it is wonderfully presented and each box contains a premium product that looks and feels great. Accordingly, if you are gifting this item, the recipient will not be disappointed.

What’s in the box of the NeoRuler Go Premium Combo?

  • The sleek packaging is pleasant to the eye. Moreover, it is compact and easy to recycle.
  • The NeoRuler Go Premium Combo comprises 7 unique boxes. Each can be used alone or in conjunction with the other. Whether it is a fine pencil, black or coloured pencil, spare nibs, replacement parts, leather holder, or digital ruler, this package has it all.

Technical aspects.

Much of the NeoRuler Go Premium Combo is rudimentary, professional, and wonderfully designed. The exception is the technical NeoRuler Go. This digital rolling ruler uses a laser for precise measurements. Additionally, it has 93 built-in scales, 8 modes, and a custom option available. Therefore, this handy tool is bound to work for the most intricate jobs available.

Its 300 mAh battery life allows users to forget about power and focus on the job at hand. If you forget to charge the device, you can plug it in and have it up and running in no time. Changing the modes was a cinch and you can use the roller unit or the tactile buttons to flit between the settings. This means that users can enjoy accurate measurements without the headache of an unnecessarily complex tool.

What about the writing implements?

The ruler was great. However, I am a fan of unusual writing tools. The metal pencils come in 2 distinct sizes. Both have a screw thread for each replacement nib. This premium set has various colours on offer and this makes it ideal for artists or engineers. The nibs can be removed with ease and the handy cases ensure that they will not get damaged when they are on your desk.

The ruler has a stunning leather case to protect the plastic body. The simple design allows the user to slide the ruler in and out with ease. Furthermore, it is extremely well-built and can be attached to your keys or bag. This allows you to keep it with you and not worry about it getting lost when you are out and about.

Finally, there is a compact pen case for the smaller metal pen. The case doubles up as an extender for the ruler and this makes it easier to keep every aspect of the NeoRuler Go Premium Combo together.

Is the NeoRuler Go Premium Combo worth it?

This is an extremely niche product but its intended audience will love every aspect. The design is phenomenal and each tool is wonderfully built. I love the metal pencils as the balance is perfect. Furthermore, the removable nibs and their storage containers are a stroke of genius. If this isn’t enough, the digital ruler is amazing. Not only is it user-friendly, but the accuracy is fantastic. Accordingly, every item is appealing and I recommend buying the NeoRuler Go Premium Combo here!

The NeoRuler Go Premium Combo has been awarded the Movies Games and Tech Gold Award.

Mastering Online Background Removal

0

In today’s fast-paced digital world, visuals are more than just decoration—they’re communication tools. Whether you’re building a brand, launching a product, or simply enhancing your online presence, the quality of your images can make a significant impact. But even a small distraction like a cluttered background can ruin the focus. That’s why online image background remover, such as Inpaint, are revolutionizing the way we edit photos. With advanced AI and user-friendly features, these tools allow anyone to produce clean, professional visuals effortlessly.

What is Background Removal and Why is it Important?

Background removal is a widely used image editing technique that isolates the primary subject of a photo by eliminating the surrounding background. In the past, achieving this effect required hours of work in complex software like Adobe Photoshop. Today, however, thanks to artificial intelligence, this task can be done with just a few clicks—no technical skills needed.

Removing backgrounds can serve several purposes: from improving product shots for e-commerce platforms to creating custom graphics for digital marketing campaigns. Clean visuals can drastically boost the effectiveness of your message and presentation.

Key Advantages of Background Removal:

  • Transparent Backgrounds – Ideal for creating assets like logos, product shots, and icons that need to blend seamlessly into various designs.

  • Enhanced Focus – By removing visual noise, the subject of the photo becomes more prominent and impactful.

  • Efficiency – AI automates what used to be a labor-intensive process, allowing quick turnaround even for large batches of images.

  • Multi-Purpose Output – Easily reuse the same image across different media and platforms by changing the background or layout.

Where Can Background Removers Be Used?

These tools are versatile and widely applicable across many industries and content types. Here’s a closer look at how they’re used:

Use CaseDetails
E-commerce and Product PhotographyClear, consistent product images increase trust and conversion rates. Transparent or white backgrounds are standard on platforms like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy.
Social Media & Content CreationCreators enhance their branding with polished visuals. Background removal helps in making profile pictures, YouTube thumbnails, and Instagram stories that stand out.
Marketing & BrandingHigh-quality visuals are critical for ad creatives, presentations, and print materials. A clean background ensures the subject integrates seamlessly into any format.
ID & Passport PhotosOfficial documents often require plain backgrounds. With online tools, users can meet these requirements at home, without the need for a professional studio.
Graphic Design & Digital ArtArtists and designers benefit from isolating elements and creating layered compositions, collages, or mockups for clients and campaigns.
Education & Online LearningTeachers and course creators use edited visuals to enhance presentations and educational content, making it more engaging and professional.

Step-by-Step: How to Use Inpaint or Similar Tools Online

Even if you’ve never edited an image before, you’ll find these tools incredibly simple:

  1. Upload Your Image – Choose your file, whether it’s JPG, PNG, or WebP format. Most online editors support multiple file types.
  2. AI-Based Detection – The tool will analyze the image and accurately distinguish between foreground and background.
  3. Refine the Output – Use available brushes or erasers to manually correct any imperfections if the automatic cutout isn’t perfect.
  4. Download the Result – Export your edited image in a preferred format (usually PNG for transparent backgrounds) and in high resolution.

Some platforms even offer additional features like background replacement, color adjustments, or batch processing for handling multiple images at once.

Tips for Choosing the Right Background Remover

Not all tools offer the same quality or user experience. To ensure the best results, consider the following when selecting your tool:

  • AI Accuracy – The core of any background remover. The better the AI, the cleaner and more precise the cutout.
  • Ease of Use – A simple interface means less time learning and more time creating.
  • Image Quality – High-quality tools preserve edge detail and deliver natural transitions around the subject.
  • Speed and Reliability – Professionals benefit from fast processing, especially when working with large volumes.
  • File Format Support – PNG is often preferred due to its support for transparency and high resolution. It’s especially useful in web design and branding.

“PNG stands for Portable Network Graphics and is great for preserving image detail and transparency.” — Aida González Vázquez

One standout platform is Creative Fabrica, offering robust AI-driven tools tailored for creators, businesses, and marketers. With high accuracy and professional-grade output, it’s a go-to choice for clean visuals with minimal effort.

Final Thoughts

AI-powered background remover tools like Inpaint have transformed the way we handle image editing. Whether you’re running an online store, curating your social media feed, or designing a marketing campaign, these tools allow you to present your visuals in the best light. They simplify editing while maintaining top-notch quality, enabling both beginners and professionals to achieve outstanding results in just minutes.

From Console to Casino: How Video Game Skills Can Enhance Your Online Betting Experience

0

Gaming and online betting appear dissimilar at first glance, yet the skills you develop while gaming can have significant ramifications for both industries. Gamers often possess quick reflexes, analytical thinking abilities, and risk assessment capabilities, translating well to making wiser betting decisions. This article investigates how your gaming expertise can give you a competitive edge when betting online.

Strategic Thinking and Decision-Making Capabilities

Video games, particularly strategy-based titles like Civilization or StarCraft, teach players to think several steps ahead and adapt quickly to changing scenarios. These skills are especially invaluable in betting situations where understanding odds, managing bankrolls, and making adjustments mid-game can make all the difference between success and failure.

  • Risk Evaluation: Gamers learn quickly how to weigh risks against rewards when making decisions such as placing high-stakes bets versus playing it safe.
  • Pattern Recognition: Recognizing trends in games (such as enemy behavior) helps spot betting patterns, such as winning streaks or consistent performances from players or teams.

Hand-eye Coordination and Reaction Time

Fast-paced games such as Call of Duty or Fortnite help players develop quicker reflexes and reaction times. In live betting scenarios like in-play sports wagering, rapid decision-making is essential to capitalize on shifting odds before the market adjusts itself.

Games also teach players to remain calm under pressure. When facing brutal boss battles or high-stakes bets, maintaining composure leads to better choices; doing so prevents impulsive decisions like chasing losses or overbetting in frustration.

Resource and Bankroll Management Control

SimCity requires players to allocate limited resources efficiently; managing budgets and allocating funds wisely is integral to success. Successful bettors also need to learn how to effectively oversee their bankrolls by setting limits and knowing when it’s best to stop betting.

Gamers familiar with grinding for in-game currency recognize the need to exercise patience and discipline in their betting. Establishing daily or weekly loss limits demonstrates this commitment to long-term goals rather than instant gratification.

Understanding Probability and Statistics

RPGs such as Pokemon and Final Fantasy require players to calculate damage probabilities, critical hit rates, and loot drop chances – all valuable skills for understanding betting odds and implied probabilities.

Knowing that a 25% chance of success means you are likely to fail three out of four attempts helps bettors set realistic expectations and avoid overestimating unlikely outcomes, such as betting on long-shot underdogs without proper justification.

Multitasking and Focus

Games such as League of Legends or Overwatch require constant awareness of team movements, cooldown timers, and objectives. Betting requires monitoring multiple events simultaneously, including odds changes and external factors like weather or player injuries affecting betting performance.

Filtering out distractions and focusing on key details are keys to making informed bets rather than guessing based solely on gut feelings. Gamers adept at multitasking can use this ability to monitor several betting markets simultaneously without losing track of their strategy.

Social and Psychological Awareness

Online multiplayer games provide a valuable learning opportunity, teaching players how to understand opponents’ behaviors and bluff effectively–skills directly applicable to poker or other skill-based betting games. Recognizing tilt (emotional frustration) among opponents may help prevent falling into the same trap when betting.

Gaming teams work well together, learning communication and emotional control from one another. This helps bettors stay level-headed, avoid tilt, and make rational decisions even after an unsuccessful streak.

Conclusion

The connection between video gaming and online betting is stronger than many realize. Strategic planning, quick reflexes, resource management, and emotional control–all developed through gaming–can transform your approach to betting online. Leveraging these skills, you can make more calculated decisions, manage risks more effectively, and ultimately enhance your experience overall. Whether you’re casually gaming or competing heavily online betting yourself, your gaming instincts could become your secret weapon!

If you’re looking for betting platforms that reward strategic play, check out trusted betting sites that cater to skill-based wagering. Whether you’re a casual gamer or a competitive player, your gaming instincts might just be your secret weapon in the world of online betting.

Review: Split Fiction

”Split Fiction,” developed by Hazelight Studios and released on March 6, 2025, is a cooperative action-adventure game that has garnered significant attention for its innovative gameplay and engaging narrative. Building upon the success of their previous titles, “A Way Out” and “It Takes Two,” Hazelight continues to refine the co-op gaming experience, offering players a fresh and dynamic adventure.

The setup.

In “Split Fiction,” players assume the roles of two writers, Mio Hudson and Zoe Foster, who find themselves trapped within the worlds of their own creation due to a peculiar experiment. Mio, a science fiction author, and Zoe, a fantasy novelist, must collaborate to navigate through diverse environments that blend elements of both genres. The game is designed exclusively for cooperative play, supporting both local and online modes, and utilizes a split-screen mechanic to emphasize teamwork and communication. This game is coming for “the co-op guys” and it shows. Having the backing of EA I am pleasantly shocked how easy it is to play the game with friends. If have a friend that owns the game, you can play entirely free no matter which consoles you are playing on. A fantastic addition keeping the couch co-op genre alive.

Playing Split Fiction with my non-gamer partner was an experience that exceeded my expectations in so many ways. We often struggle to find games that cater to both our preferences—something engaging enough for me while still being accessible and enjoyable for someone who doesn’t spend hours mastering mechanics. Split Fiction delivered an experience that allowed us to play, explore, and laugh together without one of us feeling left behind. Though not without flaws, particularly in its sci-fi segments, the game shines as a cooperative journey that celebrates both players.

An Engaging Co-Op Experience

From the very start, Split Fiction establishes itself as a game meant to be played together. The split-reality mechanic, where one player experiences a fantasy world while the other navigates a sci-fi setting, forces teamwork in a way that feels natural rather than forced. Puzzles require communication, platforming sections demand coordination, and story moments resonate more because we’re both living different sides of the same tale.

For my partner, who rarely plays games, the controls were intuitive, and the game introduced new mechanics in a way that never felt overwhelming. We had moments of genuine teamwork triumphs—solving puzzles by combining our abilities, syncing up on timing-based challenges, and helping each other navigate through unfamiliar mechanics. The game finds that rare balance where I could still feel engaged as a seasoned player while my partner never felt like they were just tagging along.

Fantasy vs. Sci-Fi: A Tale of Two Worlds

The biggest surprise for both of us was how much we adored the fantasy half of the game compared to the sci-fi sections. The fantasy setting is rich, full of life, and bursting with creativity. The environments feel like they’re straight out of a beautifully illustrated storybook, and the world-building is compelling. Magic-based mechanics felt intuitive and rewarding, encouraging experimentation in a way that kept us both excited.

In contrast, the sci-fi setting felt… underwhelming. It wasn’t bad, per se, but it lacked the same depth and vibrancy. Where the fantasy world had intricate lore, fascinating creatures, and breath-taking vistas, the sci-fi side often felt sterile. The mechanical puzzles were amazing and the abilities/ equipment were extremely fun to use all through out those levels. But The world-building also felt a bit undercooked—while the fantasy setting was brimming with culture and mythology, the sci-fi sections often felt like they were ticking genre checkboxes rather than creating something truly immersive. Now I know that is the point given the story. But I just did not enjoy the sci-fi parts as much as I wanted to. Especially because the fantasy levels just blow it out the park for reasons I wont spoil.

Storytelling that Connects

One of Split Fiction’s greatest strengths is how it weaves its narrative between the two players. While some co-op games treat the second player as an afterthought, here, both perspectives matter. The emotional core of the story—two characters from vastly different worlds struggling to understand each others needs. The way each characters personality would bleed into their stories made getting to the next part so much more exciting.

That said, the sci-fi story beats felt less impactful. The fantasy world’s themes of destiny, magic, and legacy had weight, while the sci-fi side often fell into clichés. As I mentioned before, I understand this is reflecting the characters personality. It makes sense but that wasn’t my issue. I just cant help but feel that the Sci-Fi could of been done different. My partner found themselves more invested in the fantasy worlds, and even I, who typically love a good sci-fi narrative, felt that it paled in comparison to its fantasy counterpart.

When I complain about the Sci-Fi I am mostly referring to the second Mio world. I loved the puzzles in that world but it just felt very straight forward with a real lack of “things” to find. All the other levels had easter eggs and little details, mini games and interactable objects that emphasised exploration. Even with he heavy topic at hand I wish there were more to encourage us to slow down and look around. The level felt short due to us speeding through it unintentionally.

A Game Worth Playing Together

Despite my small complaint, Split Fiction is an incredible co-op experience. The seamless blend of puzzle-solving, exploration, and platforming ensures that both players have a role to play, and neither one feels like a sidekick. The game succeeds where so many others fail—it makes both players feel equally important and engaged, through out all its levels and side stories.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. The joy of solving puzzles together, the rich fantasy world, and the rewarding teamwork elements make Split Fiction a game that stands out in the co-op genre. Weather you’re enjoying the game with a partner who isn’t typically into gaming, or a friend that you’ve been gaming with for years, this is one of the best options out there.

Review: Memories Lost

”Memory Lost” is a cyberpunk-themed, top-down, twin-stick shooter developed by Magic Hazard and published by ESDigital Games. Released on March 6, 2025, an atmospheric cyberpunk twin stick shooter that grew on me the longer I played.

Addicting combat

In “Memory Lost,” players navigate a dystopian world, utilizing a distinctive “shifting” mechanic that allows them to possess enemies, adapting their weapons and skills to combat ruthless corporations. This feature offers a dynamic approach to encounters, encouraging strategic thinking and adaptability. The game emphasizes fast-paced combat, requiring players to swiftly switch between host bodies to overcome challenges.

Admittedly I found my self struggling at the beginning of the game to get my self into grips with the Hotline Miami at 10x speed style combat. The shifting mechanics allows you to possess enemies that took enough damage. Except sometimes the enemies don’t give the player this opportunity. I never figured out why that is, whether they have a damage threshold or simply a % chance of it not happening. When the you reach 0 health the game goes into slow motion allowing you to quickly switch and get back in the fight so leaving vulnerable hosts around the arena was my number one strategy. The weapon and “host” ability variety and very limited ammo keeps the player on their toes and forces to adapt.

Dystopian setting

Set in a cyberpunk universe, “Memory Lost” immerses players in a world filled with technological marvels and corporate intrigue. The storyline revolves around themes of identity and memory, challenging players to uncover secrets and shape their own fate within this lore-rich environment. While the game’s atmosphere and setting have been praised for their depth and detail, some reviews have pointed out that the narrative execution falls short, lacking the engagement found in its world-building.

Mixed reception, for a good reason

The game has received mixed reviews from critics and I must say throughout the entire game, I could not decide where I stand either. I have to commend the game’s innovative gameplay mechanics and atmospheric world, these elements make it a worthwhile experience for twin stick shooter enthusiasts. However, there are narrative shortcomings and technical imperfections that prevent the game from reaching its full potential.

The game is atmospheric and does have a very unique feeling to it. But I was completely disjointed from the gritty dystopian world as the game doesn’t take it self seriously at all. Don’t get me wrong the constant, almost borderlands non stop humour sure did get a laugh out of me. Even if sometimes it was a bit too on the nose. For the most part these easter eggs are put in with love and effort. One instance, a non surprising dark souls reference that surprised me with actually overhauling the way checkpoints work in the game.

Art direction

Visually, “Memory Lost” captures the essence of the cyberpunk genre with its neon-lit environments and detailed character designs. The isometric perspective enhances the tactical aspects of gameplay, allowing players to plan their movements and attacks effectively. The soundtrack complements the game’s setting, featuring electronic and synth-heavy tracks that immerse players further into the dystopian atmosphere.

But the the actual graphics are pretty bad. I don’t mean that it doesn’t compete with huge AAA studios, it’s just ugly. This is the reason I found myself not enjoying the game at first, until I realised it’s on purpose. I bumped into a very chatty NPC and that’s when it clicked. As his text went past the dialog box I realised the the graphics weren’t a budget compromise , it was a choice.

Conclusion

“Memory Lost” offers a unique and joyful ride through a dystopian world, particularly for fans of the cyberpunk genre. Its innovative gameplay mechanics and atmospheric design stand out as its strongest features. However, narrative shortcomings may hinder the experience for some players. Despite this, the game provides a distinctive take on the twin-stick shooter genre, making it worth exploring for those intrigued by its premise.

It is very hard to out right recommend or shun the game. Is it the next Hotline Miami? no. But did I have fun, and laughed out loud? Yes. If you want the experience of borderlands humour at its peak and a challenging combat experience then you can pick up “Memory Lost” on steam right now. With the intention to bring it to all major platforms later this year.

How to Choose a Secure E-Wallet Provider

0

If you prefer fast, convenient, and contactless transactions, e-wallets might be the right solution for you. With them, you can order a takeout, shop online, or indulge in some digital entertainment. Be mindful of choosing the right e-wallet provider. But with so many options out there, how do you know which one is actually secure?

Online compatibility

E-wallets are widely used for online shopping in the US, but not all providers support this type of transaction. The same goes for playing games online, especially casino games. If you’re placing bets in states where online gambling is legal—like New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Michigan—you’ll want an e-wallet that works seamlessly with your favorite gaming platform. Skrill and Neteller are popular options among gamblers, as they specialize in handling online casino deposits and withdrawals.

In the case of playing in Florida, a state with strict gambling laws, for example, casino expert Blaise Bourgeois says that you can access some respectable offshore sites safely and legally. Sports betting might be more favorable in the Sunshine State, thanks to the compact with the Seminole Tribe who dropped online gaming. Still, offshore platforms offer legal options, hundreds of games, and various bonuses. If you’re in a state with stricter gambling laws, like Utah or Hawaii, you might need to get creative. Some players use crypto-friendly e-wallets like BitPay, while others stick with more general-use options that don’t explicitly restrict gambling-related transactions.

Encryption, authentication, and compliance

If an e-wallet provider isn’t serious about security, you should run the other way. A secure provider should offer robust encryption to keep your financial data safe from cybercriminals. Look for two-factor authentication (2FA), biometric login (like fingerprint or facial recognition), and end-to-end encryption.

In the US, compliance with financial regulations is key. Any legitimate e-wallet should be registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and adhere to Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. If they’re cutting corners here, your money might not be as safe as you think.

Reputation matters

Before signing up, do a little homework. Read customer reviews, check ratings, and look up any past security breaches. If an e-wallet provider has had a history of data leaks or complaints about frozen funds, steer clear. Companies like PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Pay have built strong reputations over the years, making them safer choices for everyday transactions.

Transaction fees and limits

Not all e-wallets charge the same fees. Some might take a cut when you transfer money to your bank, while others may impose limits on how much you can send or receive per transaction. If you’re using an e-wallet for online entertainment, make sure you understand the costs. Some states have strict rules on gambling transactions, and you don’t want to find out the hard way that your chosen e-wallet doesn’t support your favorite online casino.

User experience

A secure e-wallet should also be user-friendly. You don’t want to spend hours trying to figure out how to send money or access your funds. Look for an intuitive interface, fast transaction speeds, and compatibility with multiple devices. The best e-wallets make digital transactions feel effortless, whether you’re splitting the bill at dinner or funding your next online poker session.

Fraud protection

What’s important about fraud is not only reaction to it, but being proactive and stopping it before it actually happens. That’s why you should look for services that offer real-time fraud monitoring, automatic transaction alerts, and refund policies for unauthorized charges. Some e-wallets also have built-in AI security measures that can detect suspicious activity before it affects your account. If an e-wallet has a strong fraud prevention track record, it’s a sign that they take security seriously and prioritize protecting their users’ funds.
