The Geoff Keighley produced ‘Summer GameFest’ has begun and the first announcement of this 4 month celebration that replaces E3 2020 with digital events all through the summer, was the news that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 & 2 Remastered was being released for current gen consoles on September 4th:
Get ready to shred again. The original birdman, Tony Hawk, and Vicarious Visions, the studio behind the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, have come together to bring back Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, radically remastered for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and in stunning 4K resolution on Xbox One X with updated and enhanced graphics, running at a frame rate crisper than a perfect 50-50 grind: 60 fps.
Dropping on September 4, 2020, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 brings back the original levels, skaters, tricks, modes, and songs from the iconic soundtrack, plus new ways to play including online multiplayer.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 features the full original roster of pro skaters, including Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Bucky Lasek, Elissa Steamer, Kareem Campbell, Andrew Reynolds, Bob Burnquist, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Rune Glifberg, Chad Muska…and of course, Tony Hawk.
The remaster will feature all of the original levels from the first two games in the franchise, from the Warehouse to The Bullring, as well as songs from the original games to amp you up while you go for that Sick Score. The levels can be played solo with goals old and new, with a buddy on local co-op, or online with original multiplayer game modes.
The game that influenced a generation is returning to Xbox One, PS4, and PC in glorious 4K on September 4th 2020.
The post on the Official PlayStation Europe Blog explained what to expect from this special State of Play Episode:
The episode will be focused entirely on Ghost of Tsushima, coming to PS4 17th July. You’ll get an extended look at new gameplay footage, including exploration, combat and more. The current cut is clocking in around 18 minutes, give or take.
And just to be clear — there won’t be any PS5 news or updates in this episode, just a big, beautiful look at Sucker Punch’s PS4 open-world epic
Ghost of Tsushima has been on my radar since its reveal last year but what is very striking about this State of Play special is sadly not the game it is showcasing but in the official statement from the PlayStation Blog, it makes sure to let fans know not to expect any news or updates regarding the PS5 console, a week after Microsoft and Xbox were showcasing, in very minimal fashion to be fair, and announcing third party games that will come to Xbox Series X in the next year.
Sony PlayStation are being extremely reserved about all things PS5 even now with only the new Dual Sense controller and some console specs having officially been revealed but as we approach July which could be the real launch pad for the next console generation with pre-orders, release date and most importantly pricing being finally revealed. We already know that Xbox will be holding a special Microsoft Studios edition of Inside Xbox to showcase their line up of games for Xbox Series X that I would be surprised if they do not deliver the final information fans are waiting for.
Time to see if Sony PlayStation is finally ready to unveil all thing PS5 this summer!
The Walt Disney Company, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jeffrey Seller and Thomas Kail are pleased to announce that Disney+ will fast track the premiere of the filmed version of the original Broadway production of Hamilton, bringing the 11-time-Tony Award, GRAMMY Award, Olivier Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning stage musical to homes around the world on July 3, 2020.

He’s given everyone who watches this film the best seat in the house,” said Lin-Manuel Miranda. “I’m so grateful to Disney and Disney+ for reimagining and moving up our release to July 4th weekend of this year, in light of the world turning upside down. I’m so grateful to all the fans who asked for this, and I’m so glad that we’re able to make it happen. I’m so proud of this show. I can’t wait for you to see it.”
Filmed at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016, Hamilton features Tony Award® winners Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; Tony Award nominees Christopher Jackson as George Washington; Jonathan Groff as King George; Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton; and Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; and Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

Use your phone better with this multi-functional stand & grip fabric case. It prevents dropping your phone and tired fingers. Thin, stylish and protective. Take the perfect selfie, Facetime all night or binge-watch your favorite series. The possibilities are endless.

The box contains the case.

Final Thoughts
It’s always a good idea to protect your phone with a case, so why not include a case that has a built in stand? This is where the Clckr Grip and Stand case comes into play.
Fitting your phone into the stand is simple and requires very little effort. The phone fits perfectly into the case and feels secure. The case is drop tested to 2 metres (6.6 feet) – I decided not to test that though!
To use the grip element, you just pull the strap out and place your hand through the strap. It feels very secure and comfortable you use.
If you want to use the case as a stand you just pull the strap out and then fold the strap into place until you hear the click. Then you can use the case in either landscape or portrait, whichever you need.
When you have finished you just click the strap into place and that’s it.
You can still use wireless charging with the case too so you don’t need to remove your phone from the case each time.
The Clckr Grip and Stand for iPhone is available now priced around £29.99 and is available in different sizes and styles and is certainly worth checking out.

With Apex Legends Season 5 – Fortune’s Favor, Respawn is introducing a myriad of new content and changes including:
New Legend: Her powerful teleportation skill allows Loba to get a jump on her foes, while her passive ability gives her a leg up when scoping out loot. Loba’s ultimate ability, the Black Market, will open up a one-stop-shop for her squadmates to collect the best loot in the area.
Quests – A brand new mode in Apex Legends, players looking for riches, glory and additional story can hunt for treasure and participate in a nine-week series of PvE quests in Season 5.
Map Changes: Loba’s entrance to King’s Canyon to hunt down and destroy Revenant has had a ripple effect on the arena, shaking up beloved drop-in locations including Skull Town, and changing how competitors may choose to navigate their next strike or defensive hold.
Battle Pass – An all new battle pass boasting over 100 exclusive items including skins, Battle Pass content and Apex Packs.
Ranked Leagues Series 4: Ranked Leagues Series 4 is introducing “reconnect.” If players get disconnected due to internet weather, a quick brownout, or a crash in the game they can now restart and reload back into the session.
Gamers’ charity SpecialEffect are inviting runners to take on a ‘virtual’ 10k on 5 July in lieu of the postponed ASICS London 10k.
They’re encouraging runners to stick to the same date, time and distance but instead run in their own locality rather than central London and in accordance with the prevailing Government social-distancing guidelines.
The charity is aiming to recruit 100 people to run and fundraise together as part of a ‘Virtual Team SpecialEffect’ in the hope of making-up some of the donation shortfall resulting from the real-life race being postponed. Over the past decade the London 10K has become the central challenge event in the SpecialEffect calendar, attracting over 190 supporters in 2019 who raised nearly £25,000 between them. One of the main drivers of this success has been support from the games industry, with companies such as Rocksteady, SEGA and Green Man Gaming each entering teams of 20+ in recent years.
Runners can sign-up through the SpecialEffect website [link below], for FREE, and will receive a special edition finishers medal on completion. There are also plans for a pre- and post-race online meet-up to try and recreate the usual race-day experience as closely as possible. Over the years, it has become something of a tradition for Team SpecialEffect runners to dress-up as their favourite games characters and SpecialEffect are heartily encouraging anyone who wants to run in costume to still do so this time around!
With in person gaming events like E3 and Gamescom all cancelled for 2020 due to COVID-19, more and more Game Publishers are moving their usual showcase big events to a digital online event instead. Yesterday Ubisoft announced their own digital event which will take place on July 12th:
Save the Date! Join us July 12 for Ubisoft Forward, a fully digital showcase with exclusive game news, reveals and more 🎉 Stay tuned… #UbiForwardpic.twitter.com/JLYEyF1YnL
In an official statement released on the official Ubisoft Website, the digital event is described as:
With physical gaming shows around the world postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ubisoft will be hosting its first digital conference, called Ubisoft Forward, on July 12 at 12PM PDT/9PM CEST. Get ready for an E3-style showcase with plenty of exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and much more.
With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla leading the way into the next generation for Ubisoft, we are still awaiting on news of all the delayed games of 2020 following the utter mess that was the launch of Ghost Recon Breakpoint such as Watchdogs Legion for example. The event will likely miss the big dance moments of their usual E3 presentation show but expect news and updates on the next 12 months at least of all things Ubisoft.
There are plenty of science fiction games out there, such as the Mass Effect franchise, but it’s difficult to come across a game set in space based on fairly realistic technology. Along comes Deliver Us The Moon and its bleak take on what the future will most likely hold for humanity.
First of all, this game is in no way related to Ryan Murphy’s popular 911 TV show and the outlandish accidents that the team deals with in each episode. Instead, 911 Operator is more of a simulation of what life is like for brave people such as firefighters and police officers.

Final Thoughts
The HyperX CloudX Chat Headset is small and lightweight – in fact to make it easy to carry and store the headset breaks into two pieces. It’s also primarily designed so that you reverse the headset if you wish. When you first open the box you need to fix it together which is very easy, pulling it apart takes a little more effort but isn’t that hard.
All you need to do is then plug the headset into your Xbox One controller and away you go. HyperX say that the headset is also compatible with the forthcoming Xbox Series X console.
The headset sits comfortably on your head, with the one ear cup on whichever side you are most comfortable with. You can then use your other ear to listen to the game, or whatever else you need.
The headset is controlled from the in-line controller – you can change the volume on in-game chat or party chat, and you can choose to mute the mic entirely if you want to.
The microphone is permanently connected to the headset so if you are not using it you can move it out of the way. The audio quality on the mic is good and picks up your voice clearly.
The HyperX CloudX Chat Headset for Xbox One is available now priced around £19.99 and for that price you can’t go wrong – just remember it’s designed for chat.

The final release of Taurus VR is expected to have five worlds, nine spaceships with additional mods, as well as boss battles, seasonal events and much more. Purchasing Taurus VR during the Early Access period will represent incredible value for money with the amount of content being generated by Nusakan Studio.
Of the announcement, Jaime Núñez, Creative Director at Nusakan Studios says “Adding seasonal events shows our ongoing commitment to making Taurus VR bigger and better, adding fresh content all the time. With a brand new ship, environment, and point-based leaderboard, you can try lots of new things. But I recommend you unlock all the other spaceships and worlds first so you’re fully prepared for the challenges that await in the Friend or Foe update. Do your best, pilot.”

Final Thoughts
The headset is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and is easily adjusted to fit your head easily. There are additional ear cushions included in the box you can use for even more comfort. The headset itself is very hard wearing so it can take a beating!
The sound quality through the headphones is excellent, there are even adjustment sliders for the bass if you feel you want to adjust it – there are three different levels you can choose from. The virtual 7.1 surround sound really works well because of NGENUITY which auto-detects supported games and selects the best sound profile.
The audio mixer is very easy to use and provides a great balance between in game audio and chat, you can also adjust those yourself if you have a preference and it’s easy to do in the middle of a game too.
The noise cancelling microphone is detachable which means you can easily remove it and it doesn’t get in the way when you are not using it. It also works very well, even in a fairly noisy room. The headset is also Discord and TeamSpeak certified too.
The carry bag is useful to keep your headset and all it’s bits safe when carrying it around or storing it when you are not using it.
If you are in the market for a high quality 7.1 surround sound gaming headset for the your PC then you need to have a listen to the Cloud Alpha S, it may just be your next purchase.
The HyperX Cloud Alpha S Gaming Headset is available now priced around £119.99.
The road to the launch of the next generation of console gaming is fully underway and right now, Microsoft are leading the charge in a huge way with how they not only fully revealed the Xbox Series X back in December at the Video Game awards but in the news we have had since then such as tech demos showcasing loading times with the new SSD tech and the Smart Delivery service. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Xbox Series X Gameplay
Get a first look at gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Footage is representative of Xbox Series X gameplay!
Ninth century AD. Driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources, a Viking raider, Eivor, leads a clan of Norsemen across the icy North Sea to the rich lands of England’s broken kingdoms. Their mission: establish a new permanent home, no matter the cost.
My Final Thoughts..
Well….Xbox fans wanted games…and games is what they got from today’s Inside Xbox, all of these being third party games and we still have the Microsoft Studios lineup to be revealed in July. Some are 2021 titles as to be expected by having Yakuza: Like a Dragon as a day one launch title for the Xbox Series X and Xbox One is just incredible.
Had hoped for more of a true gameplay demo for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but it looks incredible with a look at how raiding will have an impact on gameplay as Eivor and his tribe try to get a foothold in England as well as a cheeky hint at the use of Stonehenge perhaps as well.
The RTX and graphical power of the Xbox Series X was unleashed today and the footage was incredible with the lighting, particle effects all evolved with the power of the Series X console. I knew it would be impressive but these are just the third party games, just imagine what the 15 Microsoft Studios have to show off come July. One thing is for sure…..

Final Thoughts
You may be thinking that the TickTime is just a timer – and well yes, it is a timer, but its a very cool timer!
Charge up the battery with the supplied cable and you are ready to use it.
You can select whatever amount of time you need for the reminder alarm to go off by using the buttons on it, or if you want to use of the preset times on the outside of the device you just have that number facing upwards and the timer will start counting down. You can choose from 3, 5, 10, 30, 25 or 15 minutes. The LED is easy to read and see the timer counting down.
When the timer has reached zero the alarm will go off, so whether you are using it as a reminder to take a break, or that something has finished cooking, using the TickTime is very simple. You can change the volume of the alarm as well if it’s not loud enough or if it’s too loud.
The TickTime is very small and very lightweight – it’s very easy to just slip it in your pocket and carry it around with you.
The TickTime is also magnetic so you can set it and then place on it on a magnetic surface.
TickTime is the timer you never knew you needed but really must have!
You can back TickTime now and get yours soon! You can order one for £48 although its discounted right now to £32 and there are some other offers if you want to buy more than one.
