Review:  OE1 AI floor lamp

The OE1 AI floor lamp from Lepro combines style with incredible modern tech. Furthermore, the RGB lighting will turn heads. The result is a contemporary floor lamp that will be the envy of your friends.

This impressive device adds drama, charm, and character to any space. Additionally, this modern product will look amazing in your living room, office, or gaming den. As such, this is the perfect gift for fans of eye-catching and interesting lighting.

What’s in the box of the OE1 AI floor lamp?

  • The packaging is large and colourful. Moreover, it is robust and recyclable.
  • The OE1 AI floor lamp is delightfully slim. This makes it ideal for smaller spaces.
  • Tools and screws are provided.
  • The power cable has a large and easy-to-use in-line switch.
  • Learn the basics with the user guide.

Technical aspects.

This stylish AI device has voice-over commands via Alexa, Google Assistant, or the impressive Lepro app. I used the latter as it helps me sync every Lepro product I own. Additionally, the app allows me to customise the lighting.

If you love to save energy and keep your house secure, the OE1 AI floor lamp is at your service. This low-energy device saves you money over traditional lights. Furthermore, the handy app lets you set a timer or switch on the light if you are away. This adds a reassuring sense of security and total control of your electrical bill.

Lepro app

Although you can use your Alexa or Google Assistant to control this lamp, the Lepro app is wonderfully intuitive. I adore how easy it is to use and connect every device. Moreover, I love how simple it was to label every light in your house.

This prevents you from accidentally switching off the wrong product. Alternatively, if you wish to adjust the colour, brightness, or settings, you won’t get the wrong light.

If you want to adjust the mood, customise your colours, or enjoy reactive lighting, the OE1 AI floor lamp treats you to a light show. Simply tell it your mood via the app, and the AI tech does the rest. Alternatively, create a pattern and watch your artwork come to life.

Where this lamp excels is the music sync tech. The lights react to every sound they hear. Song lyrics, booming bangs, and every dramatic moment are reflected in your lighting choice. The result is an immersive and impressive experience.

Build quality.

I love how durable and stable this floor lamp is. The large, round base prevents your light from rocking, wobbling, or falling to the ground. Moreover, the large stem needs the rope light to be fitted. This was a quick and straightforward task. Consequently, you get a large and impressive lighting display without the need for technical nuance.

The power cable is strong and will resist typical wear and tear. The large switch isn’t as streamlined as the rest of the device. However, I like its tactile nature and how easy it was to use.

Is the OE1 AI floor lamp worth it?

If you have any other Lepro product, this floor lamp is a must. However, if you are new to the brand, this is a great place to start. This simple-to-use device looks amazing, and I love the straightforward design. Furthermore, it is built with longevity in mind. Accordingly, it is great, and I recommend buying it here!

Review: T1 AI Smart Ceiling light

Reviewing a ceiling light should be a dry and regrettable task, right? After all, what can you say other than it is easy to mount and does its job? Well, the T1 AI Smart Ceiling light from Lepro is a whole different level. This smart ceiling light is remarkably simple to use while offering the AI technology we’ve come to trust and love from this amazing brand.

On top of this, I was impressed by the build quality and the versatile settings. Additionally, I’m no electrician, but this thing is remarkably easy to put on your ceiling. If you have no technical know-how, you may wish to seek professional advice. However, reasonably competent individuals should be able to fit this with no issue.

What’s in the box of the T1 AI Smart Ceiling light?

  • The packaging is attractive and durable. Additionally, every element can be recycled.
  • The T1 AI Smart Ceiling light has a pleasant, low-profile and reasonably industrial look. Moreover, every element is well labelled if you are fitting this yourself.
  • An instruction manual talks you through the basics.

Technical aspects.

The T1 AI Smart Ceiling light is rated for up to 20,000 hours. This is impressive when you consider its reasonably low price points. Furthermore, it uses LED technology to reduce your energy consumption. If you want a bright light that runs efficiently, the 1800 lm brightness level should be enough to tick that box.

Lighting can be as dull or as exciting as you want! The T1 AI Smart Ceiling light sits in the latter category with its AI tech and voice command features. You may use Alexa, Google Assistant, or the Lepro app. I picked the latter as I use plenty of Lepro products. This digital approach is fantastic as you are in control of your lights from one spot. Furthermore, the use of timers is a godsend when you wish to increase your security. With the flick of a switch, you can light up each room to give the impression that someone is home.

The Lepro app.

The Lepro app is a simple to use and well-designed app for Android or Apple devices. This was my go-to option and something that prevented me from wasting electricity. Each room and item can be labelled for convenience. This was perfect as it prevented me from switching on and off the wrong device. Additionally, I didn’t want to change the settings of the wrong product.

Each Lepro device allows the user to customise their lighting pattern. Whether you do it yourself or you use the AI-powered functionality, you can set the scene in each room. Simply tell the app how you are feeling, and it will adjust the lighting for you. Moreover, you can use the music sync option to deliver an immersive lighting effect for your films, games or TV programmes.

I adore the music sync and its simple design. Each light reacts to the sounds from your speakers. This delivers perfectly timed flashes of light to match the mood. Subsequently, you can add drama to every movie or gaming event.

Build quality.

The T1 AI Smart Ceiling light is extremely well built. The domed, low-profile light has an industrial edge that will not appeal to everyone. However, if you love modern life, this will fit in perfectly. The translucent dome sits within a white metal shell (Lepro has a black version as well). This has a nice, clean appearance that works with the stunning RGB lighting.

Mounting this light was a breeze. The back panel has a slim design that can be connected to any surface with ease. Moreover, once the panel is on your ceiling, the rest of the light connects to it. As such, removing this light to clean it or change its position is a cinch.

Is the T1 AI Smart Ceiling light worth it?

If you want to update your lighting but don’t want to break the bank, then this should be on your list. The low-profile doom is great for a slim line and attractive finish. Moreover, the AI lighting, simple app, and excellent build quality make this an attractive proposition. Accordingly, I recommend buying it here!

Review: N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip

The N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip from Lepro is the perfect accessory if you want to add colour and drama to any room. This light is flexible and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. A word of warning: the plug and switch are not waterproof, so this must be taken into consideration. Despite that minor issue, this rope lighting will make you smile! The colours are vibrant, and it is easy to handle.

If you want a trouble-free product, this has to top your shopping list. Setting these lights up was a breeze. Furthermore, hanging them on your wall takes almost no skill or DIY know-how. Instead, a few basic tools, some planning, and a little patience help you to create the ideal lighting setup.

What’s in the box of the N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip?

  • The box is colourful, interesting, and robust. Moreover, it can be recycled.
  • The N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip comes in 3 different lengths. I was sent the 10m option, and I love how easy it was to use. The smaller lengths are good for shapes and unusual displays.
  • A plug with a large switch can be detached from the rope.
  • Mount the lights with the wall brackets.
  • Learn the basics with the user manual.

Technical aspects.

The N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip is surprisingly simple, even though it is packed with impressive tech. If you want a digital lighting product that connects to your home system, this ticks that box. Whether it is Google Assistant, Alexa, or the Lepro app, you can use your voice to interact with the lighting.

Alongside this, the AI technology lets you create your ambience with descriptive terms. Feeling sad, tell the Lepro app, and it’ll adjust the lights accordingly. Alternatively, maybe you are having a party. Let the music sync mode take over and watch your room turn into a disco.

The Lepro app.

I’m a fan of Alexa and Google Assistant, but I use the Lepro app to control my lights. I have many Lepro products, and this is the easy way to manage them all. Whether it is the living room, outdoor lighting, or one of my daughters’ rooms, I can control every light from one place.

Alongside this, if I want to create my own lighting pattern, I can. I can be as creative or as straightlaced as I want. This was brilliant as it lets your imagination and creativity take over. If this doesn’t float your boat, don’t worry. Instead, you can set the mood with different colours and brightness. If you are a bit of a technophobe, don’t worry. This app is ridiculously easy to use. Every element is well-labelled, and connecting each new device to the app was a piece of cake.

The dynamic music sync is ideal if you play games, listen to music, or love hard-hitting TV programs. This option reacts to every noise from your programme, game, or film. The bangs, screams, and dramatic moments are intensified by this satisfying mode. Furthermore, it brings your entertainment area to life!

Build quality.

Unlike its peers, the N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip is great to handle and easy to set up. This flexible material has an IP65 rating to ensure it can resist poor weather. As such, this can be mounted outside if you wish. I’m using it internally, and I loved how simple it was to mount to the wall.

The strong wall brackets can be screwed into most surfaces. If your room has brick, block, or plasterboard, you can drill and screw in the mounts with ease. Alternatively, if you wish to place this on a wooden surface, installation is easier. Subsequently, there is no need to be DIY savvy or own an array of expensive power tools.

Is the N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip worth it?

If you want to add light and flair to your room without knocking down walls or making a mess, this is the product for you. Whether you create a full room light rig, an attractive shape, or mark out your steps, the N1 AI Smart Rainbow Neon Light Strip is remarkably easy to use. Furthermore, it looks amazing, and I love the AI tech. Accordingly, it is amazing, and I recommend buying it here!

Review: Unboxathon

This review of Unboxathon was supposed to be finished days ago. Unfortunately, I kept clicking. And opening boxes. And telling myself, “just one more upgrade.” Now that I’ve finally managed to pry myself away from this dangerously compelling idle experience, it’s time to talk about why Unboxathon earns a full, unapologetic 10 out of 10.

“Developed by Sky and published by Evil Corp Game, Unboxathon is a cute, content-packed incremental game about opening mystery boxes. Find rare items, upgrade your skills, and unlock new boxes & features! Collect shiny items, pop bubble wrap, and materialise artefacts out of thin air. Can you find your lost childhood plush?”

At first glance, Unboxathon looks almost too modest: an idle game about opening boxes. No flashy loot crates, no dopamine-bomb explosions of rarity colours. Just cardboard, tape, and patience. But that simplicity is deceptive. Designing a great clicker is hard. How often should players click? When does automation kick in? What keeps the loop from becoming empty?

All these questions and more received near-perfect answers in Unboxathon. What a game to write my 100th Review on.

The Unboxathon Way

Idle games usually chase absurdity. Titles like Cookie Clicker thrive on surreal escalation and intentional nonsense. Unboxathon takes a different road, one paved with quiet curiosity and emotional weight.

Yes, you click boxes.

Yes, you earn currency and reinvest it into upgrades.

But instead of selling everything for numbers-go-up satisfaction, Unboxathon lets you keep things. Screwdrivers. Notebooks. Lost ID cards. Objects with history.

This archive system completely redefines the loop. Each item feels like a tiny fragment of someone else’s life, turning what could have been a mechanical progression into something reflective and oddly human. The game subtly channels the emotional tone of Unpacking, blending idle mechanics with storytelling that unfolds through objects rather than exposition.

It’s not loud.

It’s not forced.

It just… works.

A Rabbit Hole Worth Falling Into

Visually, Unboxathon is charming without being distracting. The pixel art is detailed, expressive, and packed with personality. Menus invite exploration, systems reveal themselves slowly, and the game rewards curiosity without overwhelming the player.

The pacing deserves special praise.

The opening hours are deliberately restrained, letting you understand the mechanics before the game gently expands outward. And when it does, the depth is surprising. This is an incremental game where discovery feels intentional rather than accidental.

Even better, the developers continue to support the game with updates and fixes. Something that matters enormously in a genre built around long-term engagement, ensuring longevity, trust, player goodwill, and confidence in the game’s evolving future.

The final boon of Unboxathon

There’s something quietly magical about a game that doesn’t demand your full attention, yet still earns your full affection.

Unboxathon doesn’t scream for engagement or overwhelm you with spectacle; instead, it invites you in with patience, warmth, and a deceptively simple premise. What begins as a familiar idle loop slowly reveals itself as something more thoughtful, more personal, and far more memorable than expected.

Most importantly, Unboxathon has heart. It doesn’t revolutionise the genre, but it refines it to such a degree that innovation almost feels unnecessary. Every system serves a purpose. Every mechanic respects the player’s time.

This is the kind of game that sneaks up on you over hours, not minutes. One where progress feels earned, discoveries feel meaningful, and time spent never feels wasted. And that’s where its true strength lies.

For fans of idle games, clickers, or quiet, story-driven experiences, this is essential. For sceptics of the genre, this might be the game that finally makes it click.

And yes… This review is proudly a 10 out of 10.

Review: Rubik’s WOWCube

Here we review the awesome Rubik’s WOWCube!

Like the original Rubik’s Cube, the Rubik’s WOWCube is built around the familiar set of rotating cubes with a modernised and revolutionary evolution. Each side of the Rubik’s WOWCube is made up of four digital screens, each with gyroscopes that sense directional movement in 3D space, opening up a whole new way to play. Twist, shake, and tilt your way through reimagined classics like Space Invaders and Cut the Rope, get a whole new perspective on viral hits like 2048, or dive into fresh titles built just for this one-of-a-kind device.

The Rubik’s WOWCube isn’t just for playing games — it’s also a platform for creating them. With an open SDK and developer portal, anyone can design and upload games, apps, or interactive tools. It’s a playground for developers who want to build in 3D space, using movement and touch as core parts of the experience. Additionally, the Rubik’s WOWCube is officially certified by STEM.org, highlighting its value not just as a fun gadget but as a tool that encourages hands-on learning and critical thinking. It’s entertainment that actually works your brain — and makes it fun!

Specifications

Final Thoughts

Rubik’s WOWCube is not just another smart gadget—it’s a bold attempt to reimagine the iconic Rubik’s Cube for the digital age. Instead of coloured stickers, the WOWCube replaces each face with interactive screens, sensors, and games, turning a familiar puzzle shape into a handheld gaming and creativity platform.

At first glance, the WOWCube looks like a chunky, futuristic Rubik’s Cube. Each of its six faces is a small square display, and the cube can be twisted just like the original. The build feels solid and durable, which is reassuring given that twisting, flipping, and shaking are core parts of the experience. It’s heavier than a traditional cube, but that weight reinforces the sense that this is a piece of tech, not just a toy.

The standout feature is how physical movement becomes part of gameplay. Many games require you to rotate the cube to move characters, align faces, or solve spatial puzzles. This tactile interaction is where the WOWCube truly shines—it encourages you to think in three dimensions in a way that phones and tablets simply can’t replicate.

The learning curve is moderate. Some games are intuitive, while others take time to understand because you’re effectively learning a new interaction language. Once it clicks, though, the experience is rewarding and surprisingly immersive, my trust 9 year old assistant loved it.

Out of the box, the WOWCube comes with a selection of mini-games and experiences. These range from puzzle and logic games to reflex-based challenges. The variety is decent, but the depth of individual games can feel limited. The real promise lies in its expandable ecosystem: developers can create new games, meaning the WOWCube’s long-term value depends heavily on continued software support.

Battery life is reasonable for short play sessions, but it’s not something you’ll use for hours on end without recharging. Charging is straightforward, and the cube is clearly designed for pick-up-and-play moments rather than marathon sessions.

The WOWCube is ideal for tech enthusiasts, puzzle lovers, and anyone curious about novel interfaces. It’s also appealing as an educational or STEM-oriented toy, as it encourages spatial reasoning and problem-solving. Traditional Rubik’s Cube purists may find it unnecessary, while casual gamers might feel the price is high for what it currently offers. Either way it is a lot of fun!

Rubik’s WOWCube is innovative, playful, and genuinely different. It doesn’t replace the classic Rubik’s Cube—nor does it try to. Instead, it offers a new category of interactive toy that blends physical manipulation with digital gameplay. While its success depends on ongoing content development, the WOWCube already stands out as a clever and ambitious reimagining of a timeless concept.

The Rubik’s WOWCube is awesome and would make a fantastic Christmas present! You can order it now from the Rubik’s WOWCube website here, and right now it’s on sale for $399.

Review: Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz)

I spent years wondering why people purchased collectables, and I never saw the appeal until I walked past a Tubbz stand at an MCM event. I couldn’t walk away, and had my bank account allowed it, I probably would have spent a fortune. Accordingly, when I was offered the Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz), I was never, ever, ever going to say no!

This stunning collectable/toy (don’t tell my kids) is phenomenal. Every part of the model is unbelievably detailed, and I adore the moving parts. With stylish gull-wing doors, free-moving wheels, and a durable design, this toy will resist the cruel ways of younger enthusiasts.

The Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz) is going to turn heads.

My kids haven’t watched Back to the Future, but they were blown away by this model. They love the extreme design, the eccentric elements, and using it with their Tubbz ducks. That being said, I have to throw in a bit of a word of warning. This model doesn’t come with any Tubbz mini ducks. Consequently, if you want the correct ducks for the job, you will have to order these separately. Thankfully, they are affordable and readily available on the website.

If you are a fan of the film franchise, this has to be in your collection. Every inch of it is a perfect replica of the famous DeLorean DMC-12. Furthermore, it is great fun to lift the gull-wing doors and place your models within the car. I’m not going to use this as a toy, but if you wanted to create time-travelling adventures, you can. This model is suitable for outdoor and indoor use, and you can clean it with ease.

Build quality.

This leads me nicely onto the amazing build quality. The team at Numskull Designs have delivered an impressive usable model. The high-quality PVC and ABS material create a durable product that resists scratches, staining, and a loss of colour or design. Additionally, the moving parts are rugged and reassuringly strong. Although I wouldn’t want to put this in the hands of an under-5, older children should have a blast with it.

The detailed paintwork replicates the logos, bodywork, and other key elements of the DeLorean DMC-12. This will make fans of the franchise salivate. This eye for detail was appreciated, and anyone who has watched the film instantly recognises the car. The Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz) is going to look amazing on a shelf or in your hands. Moreover, with space for two mini ducks, you can create amazing adventures that will blow your mind and test your imagination.

Customer service.

I want to add a quick note for the exceptional Tubbz customer service team. I had to order the mini ducks to complete this review, and there was a minor error with my order. Thankfully, the customer service team rectified this immediately and were extremely apologetic. Within 24 hours, my Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz) was complete. Subsequently, this has to be some of the best customer service I have experienced in a long time.

Is the Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz) worth it?

Collectables are still somewhat niche. Although the market is expanding, it is not always easy to justify the expense of this type of product. Thankfully, Tubbz makes it easy by keeping things as affordable as possible. Furthermore, they have a massive range of franchise-specific items.

The Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz) crosses many boundaries with its appeal. Moreover, it has a delightful nostalgic edge that adds character, charm, and a talking point to your gaming arena. Accordingly, I think it is great, and I recommend buying it here!

(More information on Tubbz can be found here!)

The Back to the Future: Time Machine (Tubbz) has been awarded the Movies Games and Tech Gold Award.

Review: Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO

The Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO from QPAD is an eye-catching, simple-to-use, but high-quality microphone for streamers and gamers. This fancy and vibrant option will look amazing on your desk or attached to a boom arm. Furthermore, the RGB acts as a guide for easy-to-understand usability.

This approach makes this the ideal choice if you want great audio quality without the complications. Moreover, you can adjust the polar patterns to deliver spectacular recordings no matter the setting. This may not make much sense if you are new to recording, streaming, or podcasting. However, a flexible approach is always a good thing.

What’s in the box of the Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO?

  • The packaging is compact, vibrant, and durable. Additionally, it can be recycled.
  • The Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO is a small capsule microphone with a dial to adjust the polar patterns. Moreover, it has a robust desk mount, but it can be attached to a standard boom arm.
  • A USB-C cable is provided to power and connect the device.
  • Learn the basics with the user manual.

Technical aspects.

The Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO is remarkably easy to use. It reminded me of the Torch Microphone from ROCCAT. This was an impressive device and something I used regularly. However, I prefer the compact design of QPAD’s latest product. Additionally, I like the simple polar pattern switch, the RGB indicator, and the touch-to-mute button.

The combination of Stereo, Omnidirectional, Cardioid, and Bidirectional recording options makes this a versatile peripheral. Moreover, the recording quality in each mode is fantastic. If you want a high-quality recording with a no-nonsense approach, this device should be on your radar.

Audio quality.

No matter which polar pattern you select, the recording quality is impressive. 24-bit/90 kHz audio resolution and a 14 mm condenser capsule microphone capture every tonal range. Whether it is high notes or a booming bass line, this device captures and clearly records every moment.

When you have a complex audio situation, the Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO doesn’t let you down. I tested this on a group podcast, and the result was impressive. The conversation wasn’t blown out or distorted. Instead, I could hear every word with ease. Finally, it does a great job of reducing unwanted background noises. Although it can’t mitigate every external sound, it does an impressive job.

Build quality.

The Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO combines high-quality plastic with metal elements for a strong and stable device. The stand has a matte black finish and is reasonably heavy. The base must be screwed into the body, and this creates an element of versatility. If you have a standard boom arm, you can ignore the base and attach it to your boom arm instead.

The plastic elements are strong while being designed to resist marks and stains. The RGB is housed within the microphone body, and this creates a delightful lighting effect. The RGB can be altered, and this can be done without the use of PC software.

I love tactile switches and buttons. Thankfully, the key components are all tactile, and this reduces the risk of issues when muting your device or changing polar patterns. The chunky dial is easy to find and simple to use. Additionally, the top-mounted switch is placed perfectly to maintain the sleek and professional appearance.

Is the Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO worth it?

I’ve tested many fantastic microphones. The Omnibeam Stream Mic RGB PRO is a great device that offers impressive voice recording. Furthermore, it handles complicated situations like a champ. Although it won’t stand up against the top-end options, this is an extremely good entry-level product at a very good price. Accordingly, it is great, and I recommend buying it here!

Review: RT75 Pro keyboard

The RT75 Pro keyboard from YUNZII is a compact peripheral that is perfect for competitive gamers. Furthermore, if you work from home or you commute, this 75% form factor device can fit in your bag and is comfortable to use. Available in 2 colourways, there is a style for you. I opted for the black body with 4 clear purple keycaps. Alternatively, you can pick a vibrant pink option.

This tri-mode device is ideal if you desire a versatile product. Additionally, it is phenomenal if you need lightning-fast polling rates. 8K polling and 128K scan rates help users to react to the most challenging of situations. If you love FPS games, this has many key features. Rapid trigger response and N-Key rollover are the highlights of the bunch. Consequently, this is perfect if you want to hit the top of any leaderboard.

What’s in the box of the RT75 Pro keyboard?

  • The packaging has a vibrant, alluring, and professional edge. Moreover, most of it can be recycled.
  • The RT75 Pro keyboard is a small keyboard with a media knob. It has streamlined but tactile switches and a handy hook for a lanyard. This colour-matched item lets you carry the keyboard without issue.
  • A purple lanyard adds a level of security when moving the device.
  • Spare switches and keycaps are provided.
  • Use the pulling tool to remove the keycaps.
  • Power and charge the keyboard with the USB-C cable.
  • Learn the basics with the user manual.

Technical aspects.

The RT75 Pro keyboard is a tri-mode device that allows up to 3 Bluetooth profiles. This is perfect if you flit between devices and need a seamless transition. Although BT isn’t my go-to option, it was easy to use and simple to set up. I used the wired connection because I do not mind cable management. However, if you need a clean desk, the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle retains the scan and polling rates of its wired counterpart.

8K polling and 128K scan rates deliver rapid inputs for the tightest of situations. Whether you are playing an FPS or a racing game, this keyboard keeps you in tip-top condition. If you are playing wirelessly, you’ll be concerned about battery life. Thankfully, the 8000 mAh battery capacity offers over 27 hours of RGB-lit gaming. Alternatively, if you switch the lights off, you’ll get around 400 hours. Subsequently, you can enjoy marathon gaming sessions.

Usability

This device is suitable for use with PC, MAC, and compatible gaming consoles. This versatility impressed me as the customisable software and online features work no matter your platform. If you love to edit macros, adjust your lighting, add a music lighting effect, or remap your keys, the RT75 Pro keyboard’s software is user-friendly and a joy to use.

The media knob is suitable for an array of tasks. Accordingly, I love the simplicity of using my keyboard instead of scrolling through the settings. This tactile button allows users to pause media, change the volume, adjust settings, skip tracks, and much more. Although it isn’t a new idea, I love the rudimentary design.

Build quality.

Unlike other mechanical keyboards, the RT75 Pro keyboard uses Hall Effect magnetic switches for increased accuracy, response rates, and durability. Although these switches can only be swapped with like-for-like switches, I adore using them for gaming and typing. The comfortable actuation distance offers low-fatigue typing and pinpoint accuracy. Moreover, they will last a lifetime!

The case combines metal and plastic to deliver a hard-wearing product. The clean black finish is perfect for a discreet gamer. Additionally, the purple keycaps add a layer of flair without being obnoxious. The south-facing RGB lighting is perfect if you want to add a stunning light design to your gaming rig. It can be adjusted with ease, and you can make the lights react to the action on your screen. This was brilliant as it adds drama and an immersive edge to your entertainment area.

If you love familiar and comfortable typing, the double-shot PBT cherry profile keycaps are great to use. These robust keycaps resist stains and that awful wear and tear, shining. Furthermore, the fonts will retain their vibrancy for longer. Finally, the keyboard is designed with 5 layers of acoustic dampening material. This creates a delightful audio platform for that perfect mechanical sound.

Is the RT75 Pro keyboard worth it?

This compact keyboard allows gamers to feel connected with every game they are playing. Not only is the lighting fantastic, but the rapid polling rates, impressive FPS features, and comfortable typing profile let you game for hours. Accordingly, it’s an amazing device, and I recommend buying it here!

Review: The House of the Dead 2: Remake

House of the Dead 2: Remake made me desire more of the rail-type shooters to be released. This classic arcade approach was a staple for many older gamers. Furthermore, the ridiculous stories, awful acting, and usually brutal gameplay made everything just a little amusing and very challenging. However, we have to wait for remakes, remasters, and anything in between to get our fill.

This arcade classic was developed by Megapixel Studio and published by Forever Entertainment. It is a single-player and couch cooperative experience. The latter is where this shines, but I adored the madness when going it alone. The visuals have had a nice polish, and the audio is as mental as always. Accordingly, it has that appealing modern and retro edge.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake tells a horrific story.

Zombies aren’t renowned for their friendly ways. No matter how much you try to converse with them, they want to munch on your brains. Unsurprisingly, this is exactly what happens in this remake. It tells the original story with pinpoint accuracy.

AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart are deployed to deal with strange occurrences in a small town. It has been 2 years since the last incident, and the agents must use their skills if they are to stay alive and save the day.

Familiar action.

Although this does little to break the mould, I adore The House of the Dead 2: Remake. The clunky gameplay, hellish zombies, unfair odds, and mindless action were great. Furthermore, saving every person, finding every secret, and testing your accuracy was a blast.

This really excels when playing it with a friend. Challenging one another and defeating every monster was great. Additionally, it adds to the retro vibes.

This remake has 3 game modes to tackle. There is the classic story and arcade version of it. Both are very similar, and they don’t stray too far off the beaten track. The boss mode does exactly what it says on the tin. Finally, you can brush up on your skills in the tutorial mode. If you have played any game from this genre, none of these modes will surprise you. Consequently, this is perfect for veterans and newcomers.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake is delightfully rough.

The developer has done a nice job with the visuals. Although there is a bit of modern polish, it retains that dated appeal and rough edges. This was ideal as I’d have hated to see it pushed too far into the modern mindset. Instead, the hideous zombies, rough backdrops, and gory moments look incredible.

The audio is as ridiculous as ever! The acting is gloriously wooden, and the sound effects and music are as crass as always. The result is a loud and uncomfortable game that reminded me of my youth.

The ugly side of the game.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake is a pig to play. Despite all of the positives, the controls are pretty shite. This was disappointing as accuracy and quick reactions are everything. This may not be an issue with a mouse and keyboard, but a gamepad really suffers.

Replay value and longevity aren’t great either. Once you smash through the story and you’ve saved everyone, there is little reason to return. Yes, you can keep playing it with friends, but local-only gameplay reduces this appeal. Subsequently, replay value is sadly limited.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake is a great walk down memory lane.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake is a great game. However, its audience will be niche, and I’m not sure younger gamers will enjoy the madness. There is a reason this genre is dying, and unfortunately, this remake will feel the full force of current desires. Accordingly, it won’t be as popular as it should be, but I recommend buying it here! Can you complete your investigation and survive? Grab your gun, rescue everyone, and become a hero.

Review: Storm Lancers

Storm Lancers is a metroidvania-inspired 2D roguelite platformer that allows players to team up in local co-op. Developed and published by ProbablyMonsters, Storm Lancers was first released for the Nintendo Switch on September 12th, 2025, with a later release for Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on December 9th, 2025. Through five worlds, players hack and shoot through a variety of enemies, such as alien creatures and robots. Different weapons will be at your disposal, allowing for a semi-unique run each time. An in-game resource called crythium can be used to purchase permanent passive upgrades. Along with these, players gain new maneuvers with every stage, allowing for more movement in combat.

Storm Lancers feels like it was made with two things in mind: local co-op and a beginner friendly experience. Playing with roguelite experience and in single player, I still had some fun. However, I quickly picked up on combat abilities and enemy movement patterns. When this happened, the game began to feel a bit stale and was not a long experience overall. Experienced roguelite/platformer players such as myself might breeze through gameplay. However, they could still have a lot of fun playing with a friend, partner, or even child that is inexperienced and needs a helping hand. With local co op and many online game sharing features, such as Steam Remote Play Together and Nintendo Game Share, I believe that its best played with a teammate. So, keep an eye open for high cost chests, because its time to discuss Storm Lancers!

The Story & Characters: Saving Reality, Cryptica, and Yourselves

After your crash on the alien world of Cryptica, Stormhearts—tiny blue, fox‑like creatures—bring you and your teammate back to life. Players later learn that reality is on the brink of collapse due to powerful magic on the planet. Together, you must venture through the five different worlds to save the planet, taking down some alien or robotic creatures and bosses along the way. Players can wake up some friends in cryosleep back on the ship to assist them, as well as purchasing upgrades from some friendly aliens.

When it comes to the story, that’s about it. It isn’t complicated or detailed, but it does its job at giving a ‘why’ for our character’s motivation. It’s a simple story with you, the players, as its hero. Little tidbits here and there help give more lore, such as the captain who mysteriously disappeared from the ship or the various dialogues from alien vendors. More story would be nice of course, but it’s something I’m willing to see past for now.

On the ship, the three friends you can wake from cryosleep are Romero, Stats, and Ellara. Romero is the ship’s tailer and oversees the few outfits you can equip. Stats takes charge of the players statistics. Ellara, probably the most useful of the three, offers challenges for players to accomplish in order to gain more crythium. Players must complete specific goals first in order to wake up these ship members.

The Gameplay Part 1: The Basics are Good

There are a few key aspects when it comes to Storm Lancers‘ gameplay. First and foremost is probably the variety of weapons. Players have two main weapons, melee and ranged, and a slot for an equippable item. Melee weapons include greatswords, axes, and my personal favorite, whips. Ranged weapons include snipers, breechloaders, and ion marbles. Equippable items can be health items and various tools such as the ability to shoot fireballs or put down traps. You typically pick up these items by cracking open chests spread across the stages. Weapons with higher rarity do more damage, but also cost more. A chest’s price can help determine a weapon’s rarity. Players can buy other chests to obtain equippable items and Storm Bindings. Storm Bindings are passive effects that boost and hinder players. Players can also buy some items at the shops near the end of each stage.

During runs, you can gather a resource called crythium by taking down elite enemies, identifiable by their red crowns, and bosses. Players use Crythium to unlock Soul Etchings—permanent upgrades that persist from run to run. These upgrades include things like higher starting currency, having better luck in finding more rare weapons, having a larger health pool and even the ability to revive. Nothing here feels super out of the ordinary when it comes to roguelites that have permanent upgrades, but its a system that I enjoy. I like being able to do a little better each time with the assistance of permanent upgrades to work towards obtaining. The maneuver abilities you gain also exist throughout runs. When you complete a stage for the first time, you gain a new movement skill, such as sliding and double jumping. These help with making combat and movement feel much smoother.

The Gameplay Part 2: The Rest is Not as Good

Despite the game’s steam page stating that the biomes are ever-shifting, I can’t say this is something I noticed while playing. Small things are different, such as chest or enemy placements. Beyond that, if there any changes to the stage’s layout, I didn’t notice. This played a hand in making the game feel lackluster. Also, the actual platforming felt a bit clunky at times. Before being able to double jump, I would stand under a ledge and my character just wouldn’t grab onto it until the third/fourth try. Combat movement, although smoother after a few upgrades, still feels a bit simple. Along with this simplicity were the boss fights. They had simple, easily predictable movements that made them feel more like meat shields rather than a challenge.

The enemies you come across are just okay. Though I like that many of them have their own unique attacks, they become a bit too easy to avoid once you get the hang of things. I would simply slide back and forth swinging my weapon as I pass through them and dodge any attack they could throw at me. Once you have a decent weapon, you can just one shot most of them.

I also think that some ranged weapons were a bit too strong which made the game even easier. If you can manage to get a gun with decent rarity, you don’t really need the melee one. There is no ammo or even a long cooldown between shots. The incentive to open chests goes away and at that point, I’m just looking for the exit to the next stage. This doesn’t feel like what ProbablyMonsters had in mind for their gameplay. I can appreciate the game’s simplicity, but I can’t help but feel a bit bored by it too.

The Graphics & Audio: Just Okay

As the subheading title states, both the graphics and the audio are just okay. Graphically, the game takes on an anime/cartoon approach. I don’t hate this and I think it works well for the game’s style, but I do think things could look a little better. The biomes aren’t really impressive in how they look. The same applies to the enemy designs. In the first two worlds, players mostly fight against these alien dog-like creatures. There are three different kinds of them, but they really just look like reshades with small changes. Weapons looked a bit better in that they all looked unique and their were some visual effect elements that looked cool too. Overall though, there was nothing graphically that wowed me in some way.

A similar thing could be said with the game’s audio. Any audio elements were just okay and none of it felt bad or necessarily all that great either. The original sound track can be purchased as an add on for Steam, though I’m not too sure why. It sounded like rather simple combat music and not something I would jam out to. Perhaps though, this is just my own opinion as I’m not the most musically inclined person.

The Conclusion: The Good, The Bad, and The Hopeful

I’d like to reiterate that Storm Lancers is made with co op in mind. My own experience and review could be biased in that I played only in single player. I do think this game could be a lot more fun in co op. Perhaps with one player having some roguelite experience and skills and the other player being more so a beginner. I could see myself asking my dad to play if this came out when I was a child. Being released on Nintendo Switch originally, it does lead me to believe that it is made with a younger audience in mind. The game’s overall simplicity could be easy for them to grasp and still might feel like a challenge for them to overcome. I am all for games appealing to younger generations so that the future of gamers continues to live on.

However, for players who have experience in roguelites and especially the ones playing in single player such as myself, I think the game is a bit too lackluster. Reasonably, a player like this could probably beat the game in less than 10 runs. I don’t believe there’s much afterwards beyond completing challenges. The game feels pretty barebones and there isn’t much to keep my attention. Like I said though, I don’t think I was the player in mind during development so I can’t fault them too much. If the game became more complex and added too much, things might feel a bit too complicated for a younger audience, at least now a days. Still, I can stay hopeful for the game’s success without needing to be a player myself.

Grab a friend, give it a whirl and thank you for reading!
