Nintendo issues 3DS StreetPass Mii Plaza fix

Nintendo has released a downloadable update for Nintendo 3DS that will add new functionality to the handheld system. Items featured in the update include: Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to change the expression of their Mii character when they meet another user’s Mii via StreetPass. Additional updates to StreetPass Mii Plaza* can now be made without requiring an update to the overall Nintendo 3DS system. Four new StreetPass-enabled games will be available for purchase through StreetPass Mii Plaza for Nintendo 3DS owners who have completed this update: StreetPass Squad, StreetPass Garden, StreetPass Battle and StreetPass Mansion.

  • In StreetPass Squad players blast their way through enemies in a scrolling space shooter with the help of StreetPass characters. StreetPass      Garden challenges players to grow a garden of flowers and cross-pollenate them with the plants of visitors that they meet through StreetPass. Players collect troops through StreetPass in StreetPass Battle, clashing with other warlords to take over the world. StreetPass Mansion lets players design and explore a multi-level mansion using rooms and hallways received from StreetPass characters. Completing accomplishments within these four additional games unlock new full-body outfits and hats for their Mii characters.
  • Save data for most downloadable Nintendo 3DS and Virtual Console software can be backed up and restored.

 

Download for free the latest system update today on your Nintendo 3DS for expansions to StreetPass Mii Plaza and functionality of the HOME Menu.

* The latest system update allows you to update StreetPass Mii Plaza for an in-game feature that enables you to purchase four new titles as Add-On Content. These new updates will be immediately available to download within StreetPass Mii Plaza once you have installed the system update.

Nordic Games is excited to announce that the 5th instalment of Painkiller Hell & Damnation DLC, Heaven’s Above, is now available to download from Steam.

Heaven’s Above takes players out of the first-person shooter perspective and presents itself as a top-down shooter for the first time in any Painkiller game. With this never before seen viewpoint, players will be able to take in even more of the run and gun action as they take control of the battlefield from above.

Painkiller Hell & Damnation will be released for the Xbox 360  and the PS 3 on 28th June.  Painkiller takes players on a demonic ride through. My Movies Home and Essentials Server Solution 2.14 PR 1 released

My Movies for Windows Home Server 2011 has been renamed to My Movies Home and Essentials Server Solution, as it now supports both Windows Home Server 2011 and Windows Server 2012 Essentials and version 2.14 PR 1 has been released.

My Movies Home and Essentials Server Solution 2.14 PR 1 change log:

Added: Title merge functionality, to better handle copying multi-disc titles.

Fix: If a copied disc was not first disc of a title, the online location got added to the wrong disc.
Fix: If AnyDVD was updated, which required a restart, and the server was not restarted, copied discs would be not functional. Now discs can’t copy until the restart have been done.

Added: WakeOnLan option, to wake NAS devices or PC’s at launch of My Movies or on Playback (Requires 2500 points).
Added: EventHandler functions for remote control volume up, down and mute, when using mobile application as remote control for Windows Media Center (Requires 2500 points).
Added: EventHandler for volume control on IP controllable receivers from Onkyo and Denon.
Added: EventHandler functions for reacting to remote green button presses, power on or off, or when powered on from remote device.

Fix: Check for Server Essentials gave installation issues on Windows XP.
Fix: The update status dialog, and the import folder result dialog could have issues with large lists.

App Update: Google iOS 6 YouTube app updated to version 1.4

Google has just updated its standalone iOS 6 YouTube app to version 1.4.

As we told you back in August, the YouTube app was removed, and this was the reason:

Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.

What’s New in Version 1.4

* Video suggestion overlays for what to watch next
* Closed captions for live streams
* Stability improvements, including fix for application crashes

I really like the new app, it’s faster, more responsive and it looks great! You can download it from the Apple App Store.
