LEGO Dimensions out now in the UK

0

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group has announce today the launch of LEGO Dimensions, that will allow players to expand their imaginations beyond traditional gaming to merge physical LEGO brick building and interactive console gameplay with 14 fan-favourite universes. Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, LEGO Dimensions is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Nintendo’s Wii U.

LEGODimensions_Logo

For the first time in any LEGO videogame, 14 iconic entertainment brands and franchises – DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, The LEGO Movie, LEGO Ninjago, Back to the Future, The Wizard of Oz, Scooby-Doo!, LEGO Legends of Chima, Doctor Who, Jurassic World, Ghostbusters, The Simpsons, Portal and Midway Arcade – converge in one thrilling adventure. In the game’s story, a mysterious and powerful vortex suddenly appears and sweeps away characters from various LEGO worlds. To save their friends, Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle bravely jump into the vortex and quickly find themselves on a journey through unexpected worlds, teaming up with unlikely allies on a quest to defeat the evil Lord Vortech.

“This is an entirely new LEGO experience where players can build the physical toys and play with a mash-up of brands in the videogame just like they would in real life,” said Jon Burton, Founder and Creative Director, TT Games. “We wanted to create a game where players can combine their favourite characters and universes and play without restrictions. They can have Scooby-Doo pilot Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet through Cloud Cuckoo Land from The LEGO Movie if they want to.  Literally every character can go into any world and use any vehicle or gadget.”

“LEGO Dimensions expands our LEGO videogame franchise with innovation, an amazing range of world-class entertainment properties and ever-growing gameplay designed for longevity,” said David Haddad, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “LEGO videogames are some of the most popular in the world because fans love TT Games’ compelling gameplay mixed with humour.   LEGO Dimensions builds on this legacy with a new immersive interactive experience that will evolve the toys to life category.”

LD_20150914185514_bmp_jpgcopy

“We are excited to introduce LEGO Dimensions, a unique gaming experience that brings the versatility of LEGO play into the digital world.  For the first time,  beloved characters from LEGO building sets are introduced  into a gaming experience where fans can mix and match characters and universes just like they do in the playroom.” said Niels Jørgensen, Vice President, Digital Games for the LEGO Group. “We are thrilled to continue our close partnership with TT Games & Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and to bring a new and different way of digital LEGO play to children and gaming fans alike.”

The LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack includes the videogame, bricks to build the LEGO Gateway, three LEGO Minifigures, Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle, plus the LEGO Batmobile, and the revolutionary LEGO Toy Pad, which allows players to transport special LEGO minifigures and models into the game, as well as direct in-game action all with the movement of the physical toys.  And just as kids have enjoyed growing their physical brick collections with everything working together, the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack is the entry point for a gaming system of play that will offer continued compatibility for the years ahead – everything bought today and expansions added tomorrow will continue to work together.  No compatibility chart necessary!

The LEGO Toy Pad is an interactive part of the LEGO Dimensions gameplay experience functioning as an additional game controller giving players a unique way to interact with the toys and game throughout the experience. The innovative LEGO Toy Pad allows any combination of seven characters, vehicles and gadgets to be simultaneously brought into the game.  More than simply a spawning device, it features three distinct areas of RGB light technology that produce a broad array of colours to provide hints and puzzles for the player to solve, bringing physical and digital play more intertwined than ever before.

Incorporating the tangible fun and creativity of LEGO brick building, every LEGO vehicle and gadget, including the LEGO Batmobile, in LEGO Dimensions can be physically rebuilt twice, for a total of three different objects, each with unique in-game abilities, which add massive variety to gameplay. And not to be over-looked, a hallmark of LEGO videogames, two-player, local co-operative, drop-in/drop-out gameplay is also part of LEGO Dimensions, allowing friends and family members to join the adventure at any time.

In addition to the 14 levels found in the game’s main story, players can also access one distinct, freeplay Adventure World for each of the 14 fan-favourite entertainment properties in the game. Each world can be unlocked with any LEGO Dimensions minifigure belonging to that brand, providing players access to additional gameplay content and exploration throughout some of the most iconic locations from each brand’s universe.  And just like the story levels in the game, any character can use any vehicle or gadget in any Adventure World.

LEGO Dimensions also allows gamers to customize their experience with expansion packs from all brands featured in the game. These highly collectible Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Packs provide new buildable characters, vehicles, and gadgets with special in-game abilities. All expansion packs provide gamers the opportunity to use everything interchangeably, anywhere throughout the game.

Back to the Future, The Simpsons and Portal Level Packs, Scooby-Doo! and Jurassic World Team Packs and DC Comics, The LEGO Movie, LEGO Ninjago, The Lord of the Rings, LEGO Chima and The Wizard of Oz Fun Packs are available now as part of the wave one release of product. Additional expansion packs will be released in the November 2015, January, March and May 2016 product release waves.

Also launching this week is a LEGO Dimensions companion app which provides players with a free, easy to use tool that can track personal LEGO Dimensions expansion pack collections, create wish lists, and provide additional information about the game and all related products. With detailed information on the LEGO Dimensions storyline, instructions for various gameplay features, and a listing of the in-game abilities and release timing for each expansion pack, players are able to use the app as a destination to expand their LEGO Dimensions knowledge and capabilities, and to track the availability of future expansion packs alongside their own collection. The LEGO Dimensions companion app for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes out 23rd Oct

0

In just over three weeks, form a legendary trio with your friends and tackle dungeons and boss battles together in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, coming to Nintendo 3DS on 23rd October. Presented in the same top-down style as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, prepare to solve inventive puzzles as a team and kit out Link in a range of outfits to enable new abilities that enhance your adventure.

In the Kingdom of Hytopia, a fashion-obsessed realm where sartorial elegance is celebrated, an evil witch has placed a mysterious curse upon Princess Styla, casting the realm into disarray. With citizens calling for the return of a legendary trio of “Totem Heroes” to protect them, and King Tuft offering a unique reward for whosoever lifts the curse, venture into the Drablands to hunt down the witch and restore peace and stylishness to the land. Via online or local multiplayer, buddy up with two similarly heroic friends and co-operatively solve puzzles in environments ranging from lava-strewn volcanoes to icy caverns. In online play, you can also choose to play alongside unknown heroes not on your friend list.

Only by working as a team will you be able to progress through the various hazards lying in wait, but for those who master an area, bonus challenges can be unlocked for access to more valuable rewards. In order to communicate with friends during gameplay, you can send instructions using in-game emoticons, such as asking for their urgent assistance in taking down an enemy, or even in helping form a Totem, a new gameplay mechanic whereby all three Links can stack up on top of one another, making it possible to reach new locations. Solo adventurers can choose to take on the perils of the Drablands in single-player format, equipped with a pair of replica Link figures called “doppels” that come to life on command, allowing you to control each one in turn. However, with Download Play functionality, players can always link up with two other Nintendo 3DS system-owning friends to take on the action, even if they don’t have a copy of the game. To fit the fashion-focused world of Hytopia, meanwhile, collecting in-game materials lets you order stylish outfits at Madame Couture’s shop for Link to wear, with each one giving special abilities to help tackle the action.

While fans of The Legend of Zelda series will recognise certain pieces, such as a “Goron Garb” outfit that allows you to swim in lava, or a “Zora Costume” that lets you swim with greater speed, with 36 outfits to acquire, you can experiment with different looks in order to best tackle each of the 32 stages that lie in wait.

Finally, to share your great acts of teamwork and skill with others, secure a camera from the Photo Bro character managing the in-game Miiverse Gallery and snap away whilst out exploring the wilds of the Drablands. As well as posting these snaps to Miiverse, you can even unlock Miiverse stamps for each outfit you unlock in-game, which you can apply exclusively to your hand-drawn creations. Assemble two of your most heroic friends and solve challenging puzzles together as the saviours of Hytopia in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, coming to Nintendo 3DS family systems on 23rd October.

Spooks: The Greater Good Interview with David Harewood

With Spooks: The Greater Good being released on DVD and Blu-ray today, I sat down with actor David Harewood to talk all things Spooks, Homeland and Supergirl.

STGG_LD_2829

Andrew: Hi, David.

David: Hey there, how are you?

Andrew: I’m very well thanks. How are you?

David: Yeah, good good. Early morning here in LA, just getting on with it.

Andrew: Good. You’ve probably got better weather than we have at home here in London. It’s raining.

David: Yeah, gray skies in here. Gray skies here too, but a lot warmer.

Andrew: Excellent, so thank you for taking the time to speak to us today.

David: No problem.

Andrew: Let me ask you first of all, what made you want to become an actor?

David: I was always messing about at school, guess you could say I was a bit of a classroom clown. The teachers basically called me in to school at the end of the last week, four weeks before I left school, and said what do you want to do with your life when you leave? I really had no idea. I would go to the careers library day in and day out. I just couldn’t find anything that I wanted to do and the teacher looked and me and said, “I think you should be an actor.” Call it my eureka moment, because everything seemed to make sense. Everything just seemed to stop dead and I thought, “That sounds good. I’ll give that a go,” and went off to drama school.

I had a natural talent for it, and they told me to go to drama school. I applied to drama school which to me was like a whole new education, suddenly studying literature again, looking at it for the first time. I suppose as young kids we just go about different ways of learning. I don’t think academically I really felt the full benefits of school but I found that with acting, particularly studying plays and doing the research of history and stuff like that, I found that I… it was like a whole new educational experience. I just loved it. Acting, for me, is an extension of messing about in the back of school.

Andrew: So let’s talk about “Spooks: The Greater Good.” Tell us a little about your character.

David: My character is called Warrender, and he is the joint chief of staff. He  liaisons between the government and MI-5 and he is struggling to… I think he’s under pressure from the political wing to close MI-5 down, they’re struggling for funding.

As the film depicts, they’re struggling more than I’ve mentioned, and on the brink of extinction as it were. I’ve helped the government look for cuts, and Warrender is basically trying to keep the organization afloat, trying to keep it operational, but at the same time trying to appease. He’s got to play masters in the government who are trying to shut it down. I think he’s battling on behalf of those characters, probably stopping to see if he’s perfected them. I think they’re all facing pressure from lots of CIA royalty, trumping up to the idol.

David : They also want to take it over and fund the organization themselves, and run the British secret service, which obviously would be scandalous. They’ve tried to prevent that, basically.

Andrew: When you first read the script, were you a bit disappointed to see that your character didn’t make it to the end of the film?

David: No actually, I was delighted because I’ve been really, really busy this year, and I haven’t actually had much time to spend at home with my kids, so I was delighted that I got offed quite early. Also, I was very busy with another project, Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Grimsby,” which couldn’t be further from the kind of… I had picked British secret service. That’s going the opposite end of the scale and has all the knacks of drinking lots of beer and tattoos and stuff, so it was great fun to do, but it was also quite time-consuming. I was juggling two projects, so I was quite happy to sign off.

Andrew: How do you go about preparing for a role when you get it?

David: I’ve played a couple of spies now. David Estes in “Homeland,” and I’ve just been exclusively finished playing another American spy in this AMC/BBC project called “The Night Manager.” What I have picked about them is that they never show you anything. I’ve met a couple of spies, and they’ve got several different faces, depending on who they’re with, and I find that quite captivating, that they never really show you the truth. They show you certain versions of the truth, and I love playing that because it’s about not doing too much and trying to remain ambiguous, basically as ambiguous as you can. I find that an interesting thing to play rather than playing the obvious, playing something completely different. We just have to almost try and not do what’s on the page, not do the obvious thing. Always be thinking about something very different to keep your emotions in check, and I just find those characters quite interesting to play.

Andrew: You obviously mentioned “Homeland.” When you first started, and you first read Homeland, did you know it was going to be as popular as it was, and is?

David: No, I don’t think any of us did. I think it comes as a Hollywood moment. I was at Universal Studios yesterday. I was coming backstage before and the guy essentially started talking about “Homeland,” and sort of said how it’s one of the greatest television shows we’ve got and came up at the end and said, “Sorry about that, I had to drop it in.”  It’s become part of the language now, TV show language. I don’t think any of us really could foresee that. I was there, right at the beginning of it, when it was, I think, at it’s peak. It’s great to have been a part of it.

Andrew: You’re working on another show at the moment that’s due to air, “Supergirl.” How did you get involved in that?

David: Well, the beginning of pilot season last year, or earlier this year, I was called in to meet the producers and show runners, Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler and Sarah Schechter and Andrew Kreisberg, and they set me down and explained the show to me and gave a description, kind of went off and asked me to prepared my character, in both British and in American.

It was rather difficult because it’s just two totally different characters and I read the script and it’s just such a great script, a really fantastic re-imagining of Supergirl. I think it’s totally going to be enormously successful. It’s a hugely entertaining family show. Huge show, I mean, production side is just massive. I kind of read the script and I was completely blown away by it and I really didn’t expect it to be so entertaining. I went in and I met the executives and literally, within 48 hours, I was offered the part. Its enormously exciting because these comic book stories, they’re taking over the screen at the moment. I think it’s unusual because it’s the first time we’ve seen a female superhero. Melissa Benoist is just fabulous, they’ve really got down a fantastic cast and it’s just really exciting to be part all of this.

Andrew: The pilot leaked online a few months ago, and obviously it’s not due to start until next month. Was that a bit disappointing for you guys, that people didn’t get to see it properly and it was leaked online?

David: I think we would have been more disappointed if it got terrible reviews. We’re obviously disappointed that the thing did get leaked out, but we’ve got such a fantastic reaction. I think people are quietly happy about that, because people have got a chance to see it, although illegally, and it’s got glowing reviews, so people are very excited about it. It’s such a buzz around the opening of the show that I didn’t really see much damage it’s done to the numbers. Hopefully, you’re going to make quite a splash and we back it up a week later with a fantastic first episode. The script continues to get better and better. I feel we’ve got a really great show.

Andrew: You’ve also done voice-over on a number of games. How much of a different experience for you is doing, say, TV or film or a game?

David: It’s great, I’ve been very fortunate to have been able to segway between film, TV, voice-over, and a little bit of theater there last year. A little bit of trying to keep it interesting. I have no strategy for this business, If the phone rings and I fancy it, I’ll give it a shot. The last couple years have been exceptional, really, very exciting and getting all sorts of different opportunities to apply my trade and I hope that continues, whether it be a voice-over or an advert or a stage appearance. That doesn’t happen to me. If it’s something that I’m doing, that I could bring something to it, I’ll be more than happy.

Andrew: Last question for you. What else have you got coming up over the next few months that we can see you in?

David: I’ve got a couple of movies coming out. One is called “Free Indeed” which will be opening at the Devon Film Festival next weekend. Ive got “Grimsby” coming out. I’ve got Midsummer Nights Dream, that’s doing the festival rounds. I have a project called “The Night Manager,” BBC/AMC, co-production with AMC, American network AMC, and of course as you said, “Supergirl.” Quite a lot coming on my plate, but enjoying the way, they’re exciting times. I’ve got some documentaries coming up too, so lots of stuff coming up.

Andrew: Excellent, well, we look forward to seeing you more soon. Thank you very much for your time today, really appreciate it.

David: Thank you very much.

SPOOKS: THE GREATER GOOD is available now to download and is also available on Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of Entertainment One.

Spooks: The Greater Good Interview with Bharat Nalluri

With Spooks: The Greater Good being released on DVD and Blu-ray today, I sat down with Bharat Nalluri who directed the film to talk all things Spooks, Torchwood and Life on Mars.

STGG_LD_1555

Andrew: Hi, Bharat. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me today.

Bharat: No worries.

Andrew: Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you became a director.

Bharat: Why I became a director? Ah, good question. I basically saw Star Wars when I was twelve years old in 1977 in Newcastle, and it blew my mind. It was the first time I worked out there was such a thing as a director and learned how people actually made movies. I remember reading an article in the Sunday Times magazine that my dad was getting, and it was a behind the scenes of how they made Star Wars. I couldn’t believe people actually made this stuff. I then stole my dad’s Super 8 camera from under the bed without telling him and started making little films with my Super 8 camera.

I was at school with a mate of mine called Paul Anderson, and he and I started making little films. Now Paul has gone on to become this huge mega A list Hollywood director. He writes and directs and owns the whole Resident Evil franchise. He and I kind of started off together in Newcastle making those little films.

I think my parents always wanted me to be a doctor, coming from a good Indian family, but I kept spelling it incorrectly on all my forms and writing director. That’s kind of how it started, really. That’s the family joke anyway.

Then the films got bigger. I went to film school, blah, blah, blah, and one thing led to another, really.

Andrew: In your own words, tell us a little bit about Spooks The Greater Good.

Bharat: Well, Spooks The Greater Good is our chance to turn the TV series that we love and made over the last ten years that were like new movies every week into what we really want to do, which is this big, explosive, rip-roaring, roller coaster ninety minute ride in London. The shackles were taken off in a way. I mean, Spooks was always known for being big and having big action set pieces, but we’d shoot those in two weeks and we used to work very hard at how we could achieve the thing. We had all these huge ideas in the TV series people talked about doing them. In the movie you were allowed to do them.

That was very exciting. The pallet that was given to us … This really big, large pallet where we could go on and paint big pictures, but on the flip side what I really liked was … We were then forced to make something like … We were still at an intelligent, exciting, grey like … The characters … You know, Spook has always been praying for it’s heroes being villains, and it’s villains being heroes, and it’s very rare to be able to do that in cinema. That was the great thing that we could do this character fueled action thriller, and I think that’s what audiences should expect.

We were very careful to make sure that the TV fans that were incredibly loyal around the world … Tens of millions of them around the world … Wouldn’t be let down by the movie, and we were also very keen to actually if you’ve never seen the TV show that you wouldn’t feel left out or lost. That was our aim to do.

Andrew: I think it paid off well. I really enjoyed the film.

Bharat: Oh, good.

Andrew: Did you feel any pressure because this was the first time that Spooks had been on the big screen? As you’re saying, it had been around for a number of years. Did you feel that pressure or was it really not there?

Bharat: No, because I’ve always known … I started this movie, and this wasn’t the first bit of TV I did. When it started in 2001 I was making movies in America, and I came back to do the Spook show, because it was a brilliant script that I came across. My idea was always that it was a movie on television, and I think that’s why it stood out to start with. It just had this grand scale. We saw it in a very different way. We used more cameras, we edited faster, it’s more dialogue, the pace is much quicker, we weren’t afraid of huge wide shots of London … All of that was the basic DNA of the TV show. All of the movie allowed me to have eight times as much fun. It just gave me so much more stoked and energy, so I was never afraid of that.

After ten seasons we thought, “Okay, we’ve run out of ideas here.” then it closed down, and then we realized that the world was madder than ever, to be honest. We had the Americans and the Brits spying on the Germans. We had the Brits selling their secrets to the Americans. We had people grinding up hard drives in the garden. It was just like the real world was bonkers, so we thought, “Okay, time to get back in, because I think we need to rethink.”

That was good. We came back, and we did it. The great thing is we had the huge pallet, but we were allowed to keep it true to the series. We were allowed to have a dark, grey story. Our villains in the movie aren’t downright villains. They’re then motivated by actually any truths than anybody else. It’s just kind of pure love, really. That’s all we can do with Spooks. That’s the great thing about the Spooks characters.

Andrew: You’ve got some really great locations in the movies, such as the scene on the National Theater and on Waterloo Bridge. Did that pose any serious challenges for you guys wanting to film something like that in central London?

Bharat: No more than usual. In the sense that I mean, one of the great advantages of Spooks had been filming in London for the last ten years. Pretty much everyone loved Spooks, and they identified as the London based show. It’s very funny now. When I first went to go looking for locations, I’d have to explain to people when you were visiting locations to say, “No, I need a kind of dark room with high balconies where you could use a scope and see the Prime Minister talking behind the stand,” and you’d have to explain it all to them. You would end up in the wrong room and they show you the nice pretty room on the tenth floor.

Now, ten years along and you go, “I work for Spooks, and I’m looking for a room,” they show you the room, because they know the series. It’s kind of a shocker to understand what you’re after in a way. The National Theatre were incredibly welcoming. It’s very complicated, too. It’s a building that has conservation rules written all over it. We had to take a hundred people up on that roof and film it over three or four days. It was a complex piece. There’s no doubt about it, because you’ve got all that stuff on the bridge, all the stuff up there, you’ve got to travel actors and coordinate stuff and traffic and all the rest of it, but the hardest thing, to be honest, is the weather.

It was raining one day, bright sunshine the next day, and dark the following day. That was a complex one for us. Heathrow Airport was amazing as well. To get access to Heathrow is very difficult these days. They let us film there for three or four days. People were very willing and very excited to have Spooks back. It was good. I mean, all these things of the logistical nightmare, but the actual people, they were very welcoming.

Andrew: We obviously saw some returning characters as well as Harry. Was it important to you that you had a number of returning characters, and was there anyone else you wanted to bring back but just couldn’t quite make it?

Bharat: I’d have them all back. There should have been a shower scene where they all woke up and they were like, “Uh … “.  I asked to bring Matthew Macfadyen back. Matthew played Tom Quinn in the last episode. I went back and filmed the very last episode in the final season, and I was very keen to bring Matthew back for that. He very kindly came and did a little cameo in that last episode. He would be lovely to bring back for the film. He’s one of the rare characters. Who knows with sequels and follow ups and all the rest of it. He might be someone we can resurrect. He’s one of the rare ones that’s around, to be honest.

Andrew: I was going to say, most of them are dead or in Australia, aren’t they?

Bharat: That’s the problem. Ruth was probably the most difficult thing. It was such a hard choice, again, with the spoilers at the end of season ten, but we all know what happened to Ruth. Ruth was a much beloved character, so it was very, very difficult. We decided in the movie to continue the journey of Harry’s pain over Ruth a little bit. The audience felt like there was some continuity. We missed Nicola Walker. She was such a brilliant actress, and it was such a great character to work with.

There’s a little egg in the film. Two or three people left pop up, and it was great to bring Tim McInnerny back. He was always one of my favourite characters in the series, and it was just really nice to bring him back into the movie. He plays a really fun ego driven maniac is the only way to describe him. He’s a larger than life character. He’s brilliant in it.

Andrew: Other than Spooks, obviously, you’ve directed Torchwood, Life On Mars, and various other shows. How do you go about preparing for each one?

Bharat: Very carefully. What I do is I usually direct the first episode. They asked me to do the very first episode of Torchwood in season one, but I was busy with somethings else. I couldn’t do it, and I know Russell and I was desperate to work with him. They did Torchwood America, or course, so I thought, “Well, at least I can do something different that’s a slightly different reboot. It’s the same cast thrown in a different world.” It was important for me that I could kind of bring something new to it.

Life On Mars and Hustle and all of those are shows where I went to the first episode, and I see it as it’s nice to get away and create a world that no one else has seen that is like a template for everyone else to follow. The characters behave in a certain way. It’s like being in a proper film. It’s like you’re setting the costume, makeup, music, editing style, acting style, writing style … All of that is being set up in that original pilot. What I try to do is make sure each one has a distinctive flavor so if you switch it on and watch it you go, “Okay, that looks and feels and is completely different to the next thing, to the next thing that’s on television.” Almost it’s like branding something. It’s almost like creating something that’s very unique. That’s how I kind of come at things. I go, “How can I turn this into something?” Like the cop shows … I was like, “How can I do that so it feels completely different to every other buddy, buddy cop show you’ve seen?” That’s my job.

Andrew: Last question for you. What are you working on at the moment?

Bharat: Well, I just finished working on a pilot, which is going to a series for NBC which comes out in America in about a month’s time with Wesley Snipes in it. Which was fun … Which was called The Player. You can see the trailer is on YouTube, which is a high action octane thriller set in the gambling world of Las Vegas. We were filming in Las Vegas earlier this year for three months … At Las Vegas and Los Angeles, so that was fun. Loved the car chases and explosions and stuff, but I’m off to New Zealand at the end of this year to direct a small movie, which is kind of the end of the scale. It’s a movie that doesn’t have an explosion or car chase in sight. Basically, the characters live in a corner shop, and it’s about their life and love. It’s a very different almost very personal project in a way. That will keep me in New Zealand for a little while.

Then there’s always stuff. It’ll be great to come back and get onto a sequel to the next one. We were talking about lots of different ideas for them, so we’ll see what comes of that.

Andrew: Well, we look forward to seeing more stuff of yours in the future, and thank you very much for taking the time to speak to me today.

Bharat: Alright, thank you.

London, 1868. The Industrial Revolution unleashes an incredible age of invention, transforming the lives of millions with technologies once thought impossible. Opportunities created during this period have people rushing to London to engage in this new world, a world no longer controlled by kings, emperors, politicians, or religion, but by a new common denominator: money.

Not everyone is able to enjoy the benefits of this boom, however. Despite fuelling the engine of the British Empire, workers’ lives are little more than legalized slavery while the top few percent profit from their labour. Living poor and dying young, the lower class unite in protest as a new kind of family, gangs, who turn to a life in the underworld in their struggle to survive. A struggle, until watchful Assassins come to their side and re-ignite an age-old conflict involving London’s leaders that will echo throughout modern history, from the underground up.

Introducing Jacob Frye, who with the help of his twin sister Evie, will change the fate of millions in Assassin’s Creed® Syndicate. Rise to rally and lead the underworld to break the corrupt stranglehold on London in a visceral adventure filled with action, intrigue, and brutal combat.

Here are a number gameplay videos from Sequence 3 playing as Evie, there might be some spoilers so watch at your own risk. All gameplay footage was captured from the PlayStation 4 version of the game in 1080p 60fps.

No campaign for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on Xbox 360/PS3

0

Activision has just announced new details on the last gen version of Black Ops 3.
The Black Ops 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will feature Multiplayer and Zombies gameplay only, not Campaign. The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware.

Delivering the best possible gameplay experience on all platforms is always our highest priority. With that in mind, Black Ops 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 players can continue to look forward to a new experience of Black Ops 3 multiplayer, including the new momentum-based, chain-movement system, as well as the all-new Specialist class of 9 Black Ops soldiers, which fundamentally change the way players engage in combat.

Black Ops 3 players on PS3 and Xbox 360 will also have a chance to immerse themselves in the all-new Zombies mode, called “Shadows of Evil,” which features a 1940’s film-noir inspired adventure that takes the signature Black Ops Zombies gameplay to a new level.

Fans should note that other features built to leverage the next generation hardware like the new Weapon Paint Shop and the new suite of eSports tools will only be available on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be available for a suggested retail price of $49.99 and include a bonus download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops (bonus download availability may vary by region), the game that launched this series.
