After a year after its reveal, Microsoft has featured ReCore once again during its E3 presentation with a trailer and a concrete release date.

The new trailer shown off during Microsof’ts press conference gave us a look at what we might be able to expect out of the action-adventure game set on a planet where humans are being hunted to extinction.

Undead Labs’ State of Decay originally released on the Xbox 360 back in June 2013, but it reached a much wider audience when it became available on PC later that year and on the Xbox One in Spring 2015, the latter of the two being a Year-One Survival Edition, which included improved visuals, among other things.

Today, Microsoft and Undead Labs have revealed the sequel to its popular survival zombie game, State of Decay 2. Serving up a rollicking new trailer, that’s about all we were privy to, but at least we know it’s actually a Thing with a capital T now.

E3 2016: Dead Rising 4 coming to Xbox One/Windows 10 this Christmas

0

We first learned Capcom Vancouver was hiring for two unannounced titles earlier this year, which we assumed would be a new Dead Rising game considering how successful Dead Rising 3 was for Capcom. With this month’s Dead Rising 4 leak, it appeared Capcom’s secret was spoiled ahead of its big reveal, although there still more to be revealed during Microsoft’s E3 press conference.

To the festive tune of Jingle Bell Rock, the new trailer shows Frank West is back, watching videos and taking selfies with zombies before pummeling them to a bloody pulp. West, who wasn’t in Dead Rising 3, even creates a hashtag of #frankisback to his followers.

The Slay Ride is coming this holiday season.

E3 2016: New look at Scalebound coming to Xbox One/Windows 10

Platinum Games’ Scalebound was originally announced at E3 2014, and while it was missing at E3 2015, the title was presented a few months later at Gamescom 2015. While we know Scalebound won’t release until 2017, Microsoft has decided to once again highlight one of its highly-anticipated Xbox One games during today’s showcase.

scalebound

During the showcase, Platinum Games showcased the biggest fight we’ve seen out of Scalebound so far as several players faced off against a massive leviathan-crab-like monster. The characters were diverse, using weapons like swords, bows, spells, and more to take down the massive creature throughout the several minutes long clip.

It’s a really interesting thing to see in action, and with the addition of launching on Windows 10 PCs at the same time, Scalebound could turn out to be a huge hit for Microsoft. The game is slated for a 2017 release date, but sadly we’ll have to wait to learn more about the game’s characters, world, and more.

E3 2016: The Elder Scrolls Legends Coming To iPhone, with Android later on

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is an upcoming card game coming by way of Bethesda, and we got another glimpse of what to expect from it for those who haven’t been in the beta for some time now during Bethesda’s E3 presentation.

TESLegends_E316_Still_1_1465778579

For the uninitiated, it’s a very choice-driven game. The choices you make will shape the way you play the game. There’s a two-lane battlefield where players make decisions on the cards they want to play or improve. There will be a single-player campaign for those who want to play against AI or bots.

Public beta testing began in April, and additional players will be let into the beta during E3. Sign up at Bethesda.net and sign up if you want to get in and keep an eye on your email. It’ll be coming to iPhone, Android, and Mac later this year in addition.

E3 2016: id teases Quake Champions at Bethesda showcase

0

Riding high on a wave of glowing praise for its Doom reboot, id Software showed Quake Champions at Bethesda’s E3 press event this evening.

According to id’s Tim Willits. the game will be an arena-style multiplayer shooter, designed for high-end PCs. The game will be fast, Willits promised, with a planned unlocked framerate of 120 frames per second.

The game will have a diverse cast of characters, including one with a buzzsaw style weapon. The characters will each have their own abilities, although Willits didn’t go into any details. And most importantly, at least for advance planning, the game is being designed from the ground up for competitive eSports.

The announcement trailer had the characters Ranger, Vizor, Nick and Scalebear, some harkening back to the original game. Rocket jumping will be back, as well as strafe jumping. True quake fans will be able to do much of what they did in the original game, more details at Quakecon in August.
