When you download SkyDrive on your PC or Mac, your desktop SkyDrive folder is automatically created. Any file or photo you put in this folder will be automatically synced to your other devices that have SkyDrive.

To do this, download SkyDrive on all your computers. Click Run to start the installation, and then click Next to advance through the setup wizard.

And of course you can still get to your files anytime from any computer by signing in to SkyDrive.com.

Are you using SkyDrive yet?

I am a really big fan of SkyDrive, and I use it all the time, so I am really happy to see an app for Windows and the Mac launched, which makes it just that little bit easier to use over the version available via the web.

Microsoft have also published a useful comparison of the top cloud storage services, so you can see how SkyDrive compares.
