Final Thoughts
The Traditional Leather Case is slim and lightweight and feels really nice in the hand, with the leather giving a much warmer and more natural feel than a plastic or silicone case.
Fitting the case to your iPhone is really simple and quick and it sits snugly with no movement at all. The raised lip sits 1.15mm above the screen (and the camera is protected too) so you don’t have to worry too much about putting your phone face down on a table.
The buttons are made from aluminium and they feel solid and responsive – no mushy presses here. The glass Camera Control button works really well and you soon forget it is even there.
MagSafe is fully supported, with magnets delivering between 800 and 1100gf of force when used with Apple-certified accessories, so your phone snaps securely onto chargers and mounts. It also supports Qi2 charging so you can use pretty much any modern wireless charger.
One of the best things about this case is the Horween leather itself. It is minimally treated, which means it will pick up marks and scuffs – but that’s the whole point. Over time these blend in and create a patina that makes your case look completely unique. If you want your case to look brand new forever, this probably isn’t the one for you, but if you love the look of well-worn leather, you will be very happy.
Don’t worry about the upkeep either, a little leather conditioner every now and then will keep it looking its best.
The Nomad Traditional Leather Case for iPhone 18 Pro Max is available now priced around £69 and is available in Black, Rustic Brown, Saddle or a Limited Edition Burgundy. There is also a Camino Leather version priced around £55.
