Final Thoughts
The Rugged Leather Case looks and feels like a really premium product and the Rustic Brown Horween leather is lovely to hold.
Fitting the case to the iPhone 18 Pro Max is very simple and it fits really snugly with no movement at all. The microfibre lining also means you don’t need to worry about the case scratching the back of your phone.
The case is a bit thicker than a standard leather case (the bumper is 3.3mm thick) but that’s the trade-off for 15ft drop protection and it still sits comfortably in the hand and in a pocket.
The anodised aluminium buttons are really clicky and responsive, and the glass Camera Control button works just as well as using the phone without a case – which isn’t always the case with other cases.
The raised edges stand around 1.85mm above the screen along the sides and top, and there’s also a raised ring around the camera, so if you do put your phone down face up or face down it is well protected.
MagSafe works really well too. The magnets are nice and strong and the case snapped onto every MagSafe charger and accessory we tried with no problems at all. Don’t forget, if you like using a wrist strap, there is a hidden anchor point inside the case for the Nomad Wrist Strap – a really nice touch.
One of the best things about the case is how the leather changes over time. Don’t worry about scuffs and marks, they just become part of the patina – definitely give it a few weeks and you will see it start to develop real character.
