Here is our review of the ShiftCam LensUltra 240mm Tele/Macro Kit.

What’s in the box?

The box contains the 240mm Super Zoom Tele Lens, 4x Macro Converters, VND Filter (Hard/Soft), CPL Filter and 240mm Full Kit Carry Pouch.

A Closer Look

S.Mount Case

The S.Mount Case is required to both hold your phone but also lock the lenses into place. The S.Mount Case does not come with the kit, you have to buy it separately. The case is very sturdy and works really well.

Final Thoughts

If you ever want to take better pictures with your phone and felt you were missing out on having a physical lens like you have on your DSLR, then the ShiftCam LensUltra 240mm Tele/Macro Kit will fill that hole.

The lenses come in a really useful carry case which not only keeps them protected, but makes it really easy to carry and have them easily accessible for when you need them. There is even a clip on the side of the case so that you can easily clip it to your bag.

Even with all the lenses in the case, the case is surprisingly light and weighs about the same as a phone.

Using the lenses is really easy – just make sure your phone is the case and then attach the lens. You can add any filters or the macro converters on depending on what you want to shoot.

The built-in camera app on the phone doesn’t work with the lenses as you cant select which camera you want to use. ShiftCam recommend a few different apps, including the one I tried out, Blackmagic Cam. When you have installed it, you can easily select which camera lens to use so that you are using the ShiftCam lens. The quality of the images are fantastic – so much better than the software based zoom on most phones.

The ShiftCam LensUltra 240mm Tele/Macro Kit is a must have addition if you like taking photos and miss the lenses on your DSLR.

The ShiftCam LensUltra 240mm Tele/Macro Kit is available now priced around £374 but was on sale for £299 at the time of writing this review. The S.Mount Case is an additional £37.
