We return to the town of Hawkins now in 1985 to find that Mike and Eleven, Max and Lucas having formed romantic relationships and the own now having a new town leader in the questionable Mayor Kline, whose administration is responsible for the building of the new Starcourt Mall.
With the Fourth of July approaching, strange things start to happen once again and the threat that has been stalking the town of Hawkins and our heroes is making itself known once again!
