A Closer Look

Final Thoughts

The ArmorGrid Air case is incredibly slim and light and once it is on your iPhone 18 Pro Max you will barely notice it is there.

Fitting the case is really simple and quick and taking it off again is just as easy. If you do get stuck, there is an installation and removal guide video available from Benks.

The diamond-pattern weave looks fantastic, especially in Obsidian Black, and it gives your fingers something to grip onto rather than the slippery feel of the glass back. Because the colour and pattern are part of the weave itself rather than painted on, they shouldn’t fade or wear away over time.

MagSafe works really well with the built-in magnetic ring (Benks quotes a pull force of around 7.9N) and chargers, wallets and car mounts all snap on securely. As Kevlar is non-conductive there is also no impact on signal strength or wireless charging.

The cutouts are precise and the open-cut buttons mean you are pressing the actual iPhone buttons, which keeps that bare-phone feel. The raised aluminium lens frame also does a good job of keeping the cameras off the table when you put the phone down on its back.

Don’t forget though, this is a slim case, not a rugged one. It will protect against scratches, scuffs and everyday knocks, but if you are prone to dropping your phone you might want to look at the ArmorGrid Pro, which adds a shock-absorbing TPU frame.

The case also works with the Benks ArmorPop magnetic ring stand – definitely take a look at it as it turns your phone into a secure grip and an adjustable stand.

The ArmorGrid Air Obsidian Black Case built with Kevlar for iPhone 18 Pro Max is available now priced around $54.99 and it is also compatible with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The ArmorGrid Air is also available in Cherry Purple and Beyond Blue. We have an exclusive 15% off discount code : Movies15
