The Airlite Fit headset is really lightweight (it weighs just 228g) and is comfortable to wear even for long gaming sessions, which is good news if you have younger gamers in the house who never want to put the controller down.
The Minecraft Dungeons II design certainly stands out and fans of the game are going to love it – this is not a headset that is going to blend into the background.
Getting started could not be easier. Just plug the 3.5mm jack into your Switch 2 and you are good to go – there is nothing to charge and nothing to pair, so it is ready whenever you are.
The cable is 1.15m long, which is perfect for playing in handheld mode, but if you like to sit back and play on the TV you might want to pick up an extension cable.
The 40mm speakers do a good job, especially for the price, with game sound effects and music coming through clearly and with a decent amount of bass. The Jersey knit ear cushions also help to block out a lot of the noise around you so you can concentrate on the game.
The mic works well for chatting with friends and the flip-to-mute is a really handy feature – flip it up and you are muted, simple as that. The mic is fixed so you can’t take it off, but when it is flipped up it stays nicely out of the way.
There is also a master volume wheel on the headset so you can quickly turn things up or down without having to go into any menus.
