The Air 5K Power Bank is a refreshing approach to the power bank market. Not only is it the lightest option available, but its solid-state design ensures that it is the safest as well. We’ve all heard of those horror stories where power banks explode on flights. Thankfully, this aviation-focused accessory reduces that risk considerably. Moreover, its lightweight design makes it the perfect travelling companion!

Available in several colourways, it is the ideal option for your iPhone. I was sent the silver design, and I couldn’t be happier. Its slim finish complements the curves and finish of modern iPhones. Furthermore, it adds little weight when it is securely attached. This is perfect because no one wants their arm and head weighed down when they are charging their phone on the move.

What’s in the box of the Air 5K Power Bank?

  • The packaging is sleek and attractive. Additionally, it can be recycled.
  • The Air 5K Power Bank is great to look at. The slim design is visually pleasing, and I love the advanced technology.
  • A USB-C cable is provided for non-Qi2 devices.
  • Learn the basics with the user manual.

Technical aspects.

The Air 5K Power Bank takes a safety-first approach. The solid-state cells offer market-leading and improved fire safety. This is ideal if you love to fly or you leave your power bank charged at home. Either way, a reduction in fire risk is always appreciated.

This 5000 mAh capacity battery offers enough power to keep your phone going all day. Additionally, it can charge 2 devices at once. The maximum output is 20W, and it’ll charge at an input of 15W. Accordingly, if it runs out of juice, you will not be out of the game for too long. Qi2 technology isn’t new, but this device offers an impressive 15W magnetic charging. This is great if you want to keep your device topped up without worrying about ultra-fast charging requirements.

Although my personal phone is an Android device, I use an Apple device for work. Therefore, I could use this power bank with both products. This versatility was appreciated as I didn’t want to carry 2 charging devices at once.

Build quality.

I am impressed by the safety features and the charging capacity. However, it is the build quality that blew me away. Anything Apple-related is well built and great to hold. The Air 5K Power Bank is no different. The ultra-thin design ensures that it sits in your pocket or work bag with ease. Additionally, it is extremely lightweight, and this makes it a comfortable experience when charging your phone.

The snap-on design is impressive. No longer do you have to worry about cables or holding 2 things at once. Instead, you clip it to your phone and carry on with your day. This clean idea is complemented by the 3 distinct colour options. The seamless connection between the phone and the power bank creates a professional look.

Is the Air 5K Power Bank worth it?

If you need more battery capacity, there is a 10k alternative to keep you in the game for longer. However, if you want something truly sleek, small, and easy to use, the Air 5K Power Bank is the perfect option. Not only is it one of the safest power banks available, but it is also stupidly advanced. I love the magnetic charging, the durable build quality, and the versatility. Accordingly, I think it is a great option, and I recommend buying one here!

The Air 5K Power Bank has been awarded the Movies Games and Tech Gold Award.
