I may be biased, but I’m a sucker for Luxea Video Pro. Accordingly, when ACDSee released Luxea Video Pro 8, I had to get my hands on it. Now, I know what you are thinking. How can a guy be excited about video editing software? Well, the answer is easy. Luxea is one of the easiest programs I’ve used. Furthermore, this latest iteration adds some incredible and much-needed features to the program.
On top of this, a straightforward editing tool gives you time to do other things. I don’t want the complexity of Adobe Premiere Pro. Though I understand why pros love this option, it has far too much for me to deal with. Consequently, I adore the simple UI, easy-to-understand tools, and the addition of multitrack audio editing, AI motion tracking, audio normalisation, and much more.

Luxea Video Pro 8 is the tool for the everyday person.
If you are new to video editing or you are just starting on your social video journey, you don’t want anything too complex. Luckily, Luxea Video Pro 8 packs loads of tech within its easy-to-follow framework. Additionally, a lifetime key is available for under $100. This is a bargain when you compare it to other premium video tools.
Cutting your videos together is simple thanks to the precutting tool. Alternatively, you can manually adjust your audio, imagery, and other elements within each track. Transitioning between differing images has never been easier. New transitional items have been added to add flair to your projects. Moreover, you may adjust the length, opacity, and other layers of each connecting point.
The result is a professional-looking video that merges and flows from one element to another. If this isn’t enough, you may use masks, speed ramping, behaviours, and other key editing methods to create the perfect project.

Usability.
Other editing tools may have some more bells and whistles. Yet, I adore the simplicity of Luxea Video Pro 8. If, like me, you have a multi-screen arrangement, you can now use this to its full potential. This helps with large projects and hectic workspace management. Furthermore, you can change your workspace layout with ease!
Choose your window, move it to the right area and get on with your work. Once you’ve set it up, Luxea remembers your preferences and keeps everything in place. This is ideal for a solo user, but I’m not sure it’ll be so great if multiple users require the same workstation. As such, this is something to consider.
Unlike its peers, there isn’t much in the way of hand-holding. This didn’t bother me, but inexperienced users may find this bothersome. Luckily, there are some helpful online guides on the ACDSee site. What’s more, some basic trial and error goes a long way. If you make mistakes, it matters not. Most of your errors can be reversed with ease, and saving your project is as simple as pressing a few buttons.

Audio.
YouTube videos live and die by their audio. If you get it wrong, you’ll lose subscribers, and people will hit the unlike button. Other Luxea iterations didn’t address this issue very well. Thankfully, the introduction of audio normalisation is a game-changer. Not only does it save time, but it also offers a more professional finish.
No matter if you are editing voice-over work, game audio, a film project, or anything in between, the normalisation works incredibly well. One tick of a box, and you see the program get to work. Alongside this, there is a helpful fade in and out, and the ability to mark and manually adjust any uncomfortable high points. In short, this is leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessor.

AI technology.
AI is the way forward, and Luxea Video Pro 8 has incorporated it to great effect. Motion tracking, Super-resolution, and nest sequencing are the headline features.
Motion tracking allows users to easily lock text effects and graphics onto a moving object. Though this could be achieved in previous versions manually, this is much cleaner and easier to manage.
Super resolution upscales your footage to 4k. Moreover, it enhances details and clarity for an exceptional finish. This is the ideal tool if you are cutting old footage or you are working with grainy zoomed cuts.
Nest sequencing is a time-saving option. It allows you to “nest” multiple clips into a single unit. This is perfect for complex timelines.

Screen recording and exporting.
I never thought I’d be so excited about a screen recorder. The previous iteration was great, but the new one is even better. Auto shutdown, real-time file size, MP4 creation, mouse-click effects, single input recording, and much more improve Luxea Video Pro 8. Moreover, it is intuitive, easy to set up, and fun to use. Accordingly, it is the perfect option for inexperienced content creators.
Finally, exporting has improved. Not only are there plenty of file types to select from, but you can also push your videos to selected devices or upload them directly to YouTube and other social networks. This was a phenomenal change of pace that increases output and versatility.
Is Luxea Video Pro 8 worth it?
I am a huge fan of ACDSee products. Therefore, it’ll come as no surprise that I love Luxea Video Pro 8. It is intuitive, easy to master, and fun to use. Additionally, it delivers professional results for inexperienced content creators. Yes, its peers may offer additional options, but this doesn’t bother me. I adore the UI, the screen recorder, and the new time-saving quality-of-life tools. Consequently, I think it’s great and recommend buying it here!
