Insomia has announced a variety of Esports tournaments will take place with prize pools at Insomnia58 from 26th to 29th August at NEC in Birmingham.
Overwatch Esports tournament debuts at Insomnia and after the success of Team Fortress 2 at Insomnia55, the popular online action game will be making a return in competitive play, as both titles have a prize pool of £5,000. Accompanying the team-based shooters are other popular Esports games such as first person-shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (£7,500), arena battler Dota 2 (£5,000), and vehicular football team-based game Rocket League (£3,000).
“We’re looking towards creating the most action-filled Insomnia to date,” said Craig Fletcher, CEO and Founder of Multiplay. He continued, “With the debut of Overwatch and the return of Team Fortress 2, after successful appearance at the last summer Insomnia festival, we’re looking to have a a vast array of competitive gaming from the Esports scene, as well as friendly gaming in the BYOC LAN Hall under one venue.”
Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) LAN Hall at Insomia58 is set to have thousands of gamers under one roof, as they play their own games, with their own computers, with fellow gamers and friends.
