Today at a GDC 2016 presentation, Andrew House from Sony announced details for its PlayStation VR. The PlayStation VR will launch in October, for £349/€399/$399.
With a special version of Star Wars Battlefront will also be coming to virtual reality exclusively on PlayStation VR. With other planned PSVR-supported titles include Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Altogether Sony says 50 games will be supported on PSVR between launch and the end of the year.
It will include Playroom VR, a newly-minted version of the demo software, for free. Plus, a “cinematic mode” will let you play any existing PlayStation 4 game or watch Netflix using it.
Details on other entertainment options are said to be coming soon, you will need the PlayStation camera for the PlayStation VR to function with is sold separately.
