PlayStation’s virtual reality headset has been referred to by Project Morpheus to this point. That will no longer be the case. During today’s Tokyo Game Show presentation, Sony has officially changed the name of the headset to the much brand-friendlier PlayStation VR.
While a release date has yet to be revealed, Sony is upping its efforts to make the former Morpheus more appealing to worldwide audiences. The headset will have a large presence at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, with several demos available, including one for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
