Setting Up Security
The Fuel is configured without a password as its standard state. If you intend to use the Fuel on an airplane or anywhere else where it is likely to be in public, I recommend establishing a password to secure access to the Fuel. The device can handle up to five devices concurrently connected, and an open connection is an invitation to someone to mess with your data.
From the startup page, click on the gear icon at the top right to select Settings.
Click on Network. Select Turn Wi-Fi Password to ON and enter a password.
Here, you can only use numbers and letters, no diacritical marks. I would prefer if the Fuel supported extra diacritical marks as they enhance security. Click Next once you have a password entered. Re-enter the password and click Done.
You will lose connection to the Fuel; go into Wi-Fi and select the Fuel again. Enter the password that you used in the prior step and you are now connected securely.
