If you have an iPad or an iPhone with a lightning connector then you might want to take a look at our review of Belkin’s Express Dock.
The Express Dock for iPad offers a convenient, compact way to keep your iPad (4th generation), iPad mini, iPhone 5, or iPod touch (5th generation) upright while charging and syncing. The dock allows you to comfortably enjoy video or surf the Web while charging your device’s battery.

The box contains the dock (with cable attached) and an instruction guide.
A Closer Look
On the rear of the dock is a dial you can use to change the height of the connector on the front to ensure that either your iPad or your iPhone 5 will sit correctly.
Final Thoughts
When Apple changed the connectors on the new iPad’s and iPhones, the first thing that happened was that for the most part all existing chargers and docks became obsolete, unless you managed to find a converter. This wasn’t really ideal so Belkin quickly released lightning connector docks.
The dock is small and doesn’t take up too much room, and it is heavy enough to remain stable on a flat surface.
Place an iPad or iPhone onto the dock was simple and didn’t require any effort.
I liked the addition of the dial to change the height of the connector – too many times I have seen docks that don’t hold the iPad or iPhone securely, and often that means that the charging process doesn’t take place.
I also liked that the USB cable was actually connected to the dock, meaning that it will always be together! It was also a smart move making it 4 foot so you should be able to position it anywhere on your desk that you like.
It charges your device by connecting to your computer or by plugging the USB cable into a USB wall charger (such as the one that came with your iPad).
The dock costs £44.99 and is a useful addition to any desk.
