Sony has released an update to the PlayStation 3 system software, taking it to version 4.46 and also instructions if your PS3 was bricked during the 4.45 update we told you about last week.

My ps3 freezes as soon as I pick option 6 on safe mode. And I have the usb drive inserted with 4.46 and followed the directions exactly. 21 times and still the same result
I’ve also manually updated my system before so I know whats supposed to happen when it detects the update on the thumb drive.
