WWE 14 will be released in October, Take-Two has announced. Speaking at a recent end of year financial call, a Take-Two representative told investors that the upcoming wrestling title would launch on 29th October.
The game will reportedly combine the “studio’s signature gameplay with 2K’s commitment to authenticity” (via IGN).
It is likely that a European release will take place on Friday, 1st November, or Friday, 25th October.
2K Games, which is a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, entered a multi-year video game publishing deal with WWE earlier this year.
The WWE video games will continue to be developed by Japanese studio Yuke’s, who have been working with the WWE since the first Smackdown game in 2000.
Rumours of a 2K/Take-Two acquisition emerged in the aftermath of THQ’s assets auction, although development of future WWE titles was originally expected to go to 2K Sports.
