GAME has confirmed plans to stock the OUYA and is taking pre-orders for the Android console.
The retailer is offering the system for £99.99 with individual controllers priced at £39.99, according to CVG
OUYA raised a record $8.6 million on Kickstarter when the project’s founders appealed for funding on the crowd-sourcing platform. The console has since gained major developer support from the likes of Double Fine and Words with Friends co-creator Paul Bettner.
The machine will begin shipping to Kickstarter backers today (March 28), and is expected to launch in the US in early June.
OUYA CEO Julie Uhrman previously confirmed plans to refresh the OUYA hardware annually, a similar business model to Android tablets and smartphones.
A UK release date for the console is yet to be confirmed.
