YALE REAL LIVING LOCKS TO INTEGRATE WITH

2GIG’S GO!CONTROL CONTROL PANEL

Advanced Security and Home Management Solution Can Lock and Unlock Doors From Any Web-Enabled Device – Even Across the Country

NEW HAVEN, CT January 8, 2013 – Yale Locks & Hardware (www.yalelocks.com), an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for residential and commercial applications, announces that its Yale Real Living™ portfolio of access control and home security solutions is now integrated into 2GIG’s Go!Control panel.

As a result of this integration, Go!Control users can now remotely lock and unlock doors over any web interface, whether through a desktop computer, laptop, cell phone or tablet – even across the country. Through the Go!Control panel (which uses Alarm.com as the backend service), users also will have access to a wide range of features offered with the Yale Real Living locks, including the ability to activate and deactivate user codes; create personalized access-control scenes; and an audit trail to track activity.

Go!Control is a sophisticated security and home management solution with built-in Z-Wave RF Protocol. Introduced in 2007, it was the first all-in-one panel capable of handling a full spectrum of security and home automation activities.

Yale Real Living is the first lock specifically designed to seamlessly integrate into the digital home. Available in both durable acrylic touchscreen or simple, elegant, tamper-resistant keypad, Yale’s new deadbolt and lever locks support both Z-Wave® and ZigBee®, allowing them to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of home control and security systems, now including the 2GIG system.

“The integration of our Go!Control panel and Yale Real Living locks will help bring a greater range of security options to our customers,” said 2GIG co-founder Lance Dean. “The Real Living locks are high-quality, high-end locks that will raise the functionality of the Go!Control panel to another level.”

“2GIG has long been recognized as one of the most reputable players in the security market,” said Jason Williams, general manager of Yale Residential. “Our integration with the Go!Control panel dovetails perfectly with Yale’s strategy of aligning our Real Living line of locks with the security industry’s premier companies.”

YALE LOCKS & HARDWARE ANNOUNCES

DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP WITH ADI

North America’s Leading Wholesale Distributor of Security and Low-Voltage Products

To Offer Yale Real Living Locks

NEW HAVEN, CT January 8, 2013– Yale Locks & Hardware (www.yalelocks.com), an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for residential and commercial applications, announced a new distribution partnership with ADI, North America’s leading wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products.

By virtue of this agreement, ADI will distribute the complete line of Yale Real Living™ locks, including both the keypad and touchscreen versions, as well as the new lever-lock version.

The Yale Real Living access control solution is the first lock specifically designed to seamlessly integrate into the digital home. The locks offer one-touch residential access control of the home’s entryways and protected interior doors, even remotely via Internet. Yale’s new platform of intelligent locks supports both Z-Wave® and ZigBee®, allowing them to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of home control and security systems, including Honeywell’s Tuxedo security system, the Vera Z-Wave® home control system by Mi Casa Verde, Alarm.com’s emPower™, and Honeywell’s Lynx 5100 panel, among others.

According to Jason Williams, “With their global distribution capabilities, ADI can help to expand the reach of YRL locks, across borders and into new markets. Given the increasing demand for the Yale Real Living lock, we needed a company like ADI to help us meet our distribution challenges.”

Home automation is moving forward.  In my case, my alarm company offers a plan for $120 to install and $70 per month to give me access to the thermostat, door locks and a camera.  This monthly charge is too high for me, and so the alternate approach requires me to implement a system with a higher upfront cost (likely around $750 for what I want to accomplish) and a need for me to install the system.  Yale Locks offers solutions for the exterior and interior locks that you want to control, and since they sell a part of the system, their product line supports both major home automation networking protocols (ZigBee and Z-Wave) and work with a wide variety of controllers and software solutions.  If you are piecing together a home automation solution, or just want to add door locks to a prior installation, these Yale Locks products should be on your radar screen.
