The Control Center initializes and finds your ASUSTOR NAS on the network. The program finds an unitialized NAS on the network and asks for permission to initialize it. Select the NAS from the list and click OK.
ASUSTOR offers a 1-click setup and a custom route. I opted for 1-step.
The wizard asks for your goals with this unit, and will choose the proper RAID based on your response. Note that the option Superior data protection is greyed out since it related to RAID5, which requires at least three drives. Since this is a two-bay model, no dice there. I choose Balanced and clicked Start.
Initialization now starts.
Initialization took about 10 minutes. Click Finish to open the web portal.

Thanks for the comprehensive intro. The user interface looks exactly like iPhone, neat and easy! And the overwhelming apps are even more like App Store. I love the scalability and ease of use in the Asustor design.
My pleasure! The UI is really easy to use. Stay tuned for some more articles as I have been playing with apps on this item…
