Give it a name and an alias. Click Next.

If you want to use authentication, fill in the user name and password to use. I opted to not use this, so left it blank. Click Next.

I’m using thin provisioning here for flexibility and assigned around 2TB of the RAID to this LUN. I also named the LUN. Click Next.

Confirm your settings, click Next to finish up.

Voila! We have an iSCSI target to point Server 2012 at! Click Finish.

It shows up in the target list.

Let’s turn off write caching as per QNAP’s suggestion earlier. Go to System Admin and then Hardware. Deselect Enable write cache.
