VLC Media Player 2.0 RC1 Released

The brilliant (and free) VLC Media Player version 2.0 RC1 has been released this week.

VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols.

I have been using VLC Media Player for years, in fact it’s the only media player I use on my MacBook Air.

This release candidate is available for both Windows and the Mac:
